Owner really screwed him over IMO, clear he wanted Stroud but ownership chose Young, whilst also giving away their best offensive weapon. Was always going to be a mess when the play-calling kept changing hands

And he was right. They should have drafted Stroud, what can you do with this Bum who doesn’t throw more than 5 yards down the field. Strouds making a shitty houston team look good😂

@@hhaste Nico Collins and Dalton Schultz have never been all to good in the league. They have been decent sure, But Stroud is making them look this good. Even Dak didn’t make Schultz look this good on the cowboys. Nico Collins has doubled his career best in yards this season already, only playing 9 games. Tank Dell is a rookie and yes he has played Fking phenomenal, he wouldn’t have this type of production on any other team other than the Chiefs. Stroud is also making a guy like Noah Brown, who hasn’t done much in his career at all, look good and Brown is on his way to a 700-800 yard season. Bryce Young would NOT have done that had he got drafted by the Texans. Bryce Young also would NOT have a TD-INT ratio of 19-5 if he was on the Texans. I’m not saying it’s all on Bryce Young, but to believe that Carolina team wouldn’t have been better off with Stroud is straight up stupid.

This year’s pre-draft CJ Stroud-Bryce Young “debate” was one of the strangest things I’ve ever encountered. I simply don’t get the fascination that the media has developed over the past few years with “intentionally” tanking to draft smaller QB’s from Alabama and Oklahoma with high-end first round picks. I would think that most NFL GM’s would WANT to draft QB’s with decent enough size and physical tools, but it’s almost like the media has hypnotized NFL front offices into going against drafting traditionally sized pocket passers who go to school anywhere that isn’t located in the Deep South. Up until this point, Herbert and Stroud have plainly looked better than Tua and Young, period.

It wasn’t until they built a consistent fringe playoff contender and Stefanski came in that they found stability, and even then, with the Browns situation it’s hard seeing Stefanski with the Browns in 3 years.

If you are to nurture a QB, you need to make sure that their roster around him is decent. Stroud was thrown into a position where he can succeed because he's had the owner's trust and the roster was in a decent spot to build around him, it's no wonder why he's playing lights out compared to Young.

That's fair. Like Bellichick and Mac Jones....there's just some basic fundamentals to QBing that Bryce seriously needs help with (before and during the actual throw) that old geezers just aren't up to doing. I think that's a part of his problem that nobody wants to acknowledge. Even when he has time...his footwork, drop backs, step ups, hip twist, planting of his feet....all need serious work. I think it's those basic but crucial qualities like that, that really sets CJ apart from Bryce. CJ takes the snap and moves like a pro. Bryce literally looks like a HS QB post snap that has no intention to even throw the ball

Unless Tepper sells the franchise which is highly unlikely to happen anytime soon, this team won’t be going anywhere regardless of who our HC is. Our O-line is horrible, our receivers are awful, and to cap it all off we basically traded away DJ Moore along with either Caleb Williams or Marvin Harrison to the Bears just so we could get Bryce Young. David Tepper may just be as bad of an owner as Dan Snyder was minus all of the off-the-field controversies/politics brought into light against the latter which ended up forcing him to sell. At least when Jerry Richardson (R.I.P.) was the owner we were somewhat competitive, despite never having back-to-back winning seasons. We made it to two Super Bowls (even though we lost both of them sadly) and had undoubtedly the best season in franchise history under his tenure back in 2015. At least then the team was much fun to watch especially with Prime Cam as our QB before his health caught up to him. Nowadays I don’t even really look forward to watching this team on Sundays or any other day anymore. Goes to show how bad it’s gotten here in Carolina and will likely continue to stay that way in the foreseeable future until David Tepper sells the team to someone who actually cares about winning and changing the culture. But hey I’m only a fan so what more do I know 🤷🏾‍♂️

Owners have the easiest job of evaluating a hire to run your team and sit back for a MINIMUM 3 years to see how that coach hire went I believe 11 games is no where near enough time to strike a fire

While the fans may not deserve it, the Carolina Panthers DisOrganization deserve this. Steve Wilks took a team last year that fired Matt Rhule, traded their best player (Christian McCaffrey), and still had that team in playoff contention (albeit in the joke NFC South) until the final week of the season. Wilks deserved the head coaching job.

It always fall s on the coach. Bad drafting, bad management decisions and bad effort by many of the players yet the problem is Frank Reich??? The franchise fell apart when Kuechly retired. He was the catalyst that held the team together. Defensive genius and play caller. Best at his position in the league period. Then the wholesale dismantling, sending Christian to the49ers and acquiring zero real talent. Blame that on Frank. Jimmy Johnson went through the same meat grinder with Dallas yet they kept Jimmy and then things got better. It’s the win now league or go home. The owners blew it, the office blew it but they want to have success regardless. Every winning team had to be built but the mentality seems to be, if we give you manure you should give us roses.
