Tepper is a smart business guy. After buying the Panthers at 2.2 billion, he's effectively made 1.4 billion practically "overnight" as the team is now worth 3.6 billion. This was nothing but a money grab for Tepper. A smart money grab, but a money grab nonetheless. The acquisition of the Charlotte FC MLS team has also netted Tepper hundreds of millions of dollars. Tepper isn't a football guy or a soccer guy. We are now seeing just how much of a control freak and egotistical billionaire maniac this guy is. He's a meddling owner that has no business making major decisions with sports, but continues to do so. If Tepper truly cares about winning (which I don't think he does) then the best thing he can do is step away, replace Fitterer, and go get a new head coach in the offseason. If you watched this video and you're reading this comment, you need to not support the Panthers moving forward financially. You can still be a fan, but don't give Tepper any of your money.

The “club” will tell him straight up “You’re destroying the Shield” we don’t give a fudge, then they will close ranks & throw him to the wolves; 2. I think where you guys can start building on is the O-line and the Pass Rush (this takes 2-3 years to get it right if youre lucky) which will take 5 years top to get this all figured out. We really won't know if Bryce is the one until 2025...however the footwork he displays is something he needs to get out of the habit of...only Elway did that but could get away with it because he had a cannon for an arm. Bryce lacks both the strength and anticipation, but he has good accuracy if receivers create separation...the problem with QBs like this is that they rely on either an elite defense or a 2 star WR that can beat their corners....I think the Panthers can be better...just not until 2025...that's the only way you guys will have any idea of what to do with the mess over there in Carolina

As a Commanders fan who lives not that far from Charlotte, I feel a little for y’all. After living it for over 20 years, David Tepper is kinda giving off Dan Snyder vibes to me.
*Comes in during a relatively successful season.
*Alienates and trades away players he doesn’t like.
*Fires a frustrating, but relatively successful head coach
*Makes an early splash by hiring a coach from college. It goes exactly as most college coaches go.
*Hires a GM in title only to do whatever he says. This makes your average drafts largely mediocre.
*Is hands on in such a way that he thinks he’s smarter than everyone.
    *Constant revolving door involving QBs.
*Makes blockbuster trade to move up in the draft to select a QB. It’s reported that the coach wanted a different QB, but Tepper overruled him.
*Fires said head coach mid season when the QB inevitably struggles.
*One of the first round picks given up in that trade becomes a top 2 pick.
*Fans feel as though he doesn’t care about them. They don’t show up causing home games to get flooded with other fans and the longer he owns the team the worse this is going to get.
He just hasn’t been the same level of asshole off the field (cheerleader scandal). Hopefully it doesn’t come to that.

My section used to be filled with PSL owners and now I’m one of three original PSL owners left. He has raised ticket prices every single year to keep the stadium up for concerts. He has made it impossible to easily sell tickets. The fluctuations in face value from game to game is ridiculous they guess at who’s going to be good. I lose money every time I sell tickets because nobody wants to go. I have a hard time GIVING tickets away. Say what you will about Jerry but he loved football and never raised ticket prices after a losing season. I love this city and I love this team but it sucks when your owner cares more about soccer and concerts than he does panthers fans. The whole reason he came to Charlotte in the first place. At this point I hope he moves the team and we get another expansion franchise down the road. Because you know he won’t sell. His ego is too big.

Jerry was not a perfect person by any means. But the Panthers was like his baby. He wanted to bring football to Charlotte and he did. He put their training camp at his old college. He wasn't motivated by money he was motivated by the love of the game. Ever since Tepper bought the team it feels like a corporate mock up. I took my younger brother to his first game last year and its sad he will never get to experience the energy of the Delhomme era or the Newton era. I just hope something will change soon but ive been hoping for a long time now. Atleast we always have the Hurricanes.

I'm not a Panthers fan, but I have a close friend who is and hes just so distraught with them. I think Young is special, but he has so little to work with, you're not seeing the special things he can do. No offensive line, no weapons to throw to, no support whatsoever. And there really isn't a quick fix either. They don't have a 1st round pick so you can't build from high end talent there. I'm sure they'll have some money to spend in free agency, but who hits FA that will make a massive impact on this team? If they're gonna rebuild under this regime, it's gonna take a while. Its gonna take good, sound drafting, good free agency spending, and good player development. Do they have everything in place to accomplish all of that? No. Tepper needs to step back and let a GM and head coach make the football decisions. As the owner, he should just be writing the checks. But knowing David Tepper, I don't see that happening. So good luck, Panthers fans. I feel for you.
