Congratulations. This Channel is so great and help me a lot to choose my racquet!
1000 subscribers!! 🥳
Had 2 sessions with the new Radical Pro. Damn what a stick! Shots it can do are incredible.
Excellent reviews. Thanks.
Great vid, love these comparisons!
Thank you! Glad you liked it
Kind of an all round racquet, but the best control I’ve ever had: the new TFight. Such an amazing frame.
Keep em coming. needed a video like this
Definitely going to do more like this in the future.
Thanks for the video mate! I have just recently switched to a Gravity Tour. I chose the Tour version because of the lighter weight (room for eventual customization), and slightly thicker beam (more free power), and I am really happy with it.
No one understands that choice better than me; I went through the exact same thought process 3 years ago with the 360+. Glad you like it!
Love mine, the only thing I don’t enjoy is the two different colors on each side, I even used black tape to cover it😂
Great vid, love your take on differences between racquets
Thank you! I had lots of fun with this one.
I just discovered this channel, the videos are amazing! Good job bro
Thanks a lot, Alberto!
Thanks for this. Very informative! I’m still playing with the 2001 i prestige mid and might finally change! I hit hard and flat so control is what I need!
Glad you liked it! Give a couple of these a demo; I'm sure you'll find something that was. One of our regular customers was playing with iPrestige Mids for years and he recently switched to the current Prestige Pro.
@@RacketsRunnersVancouver great. I’ve tried almost every racket you mentioned and the gravity was great but not enough like my old trusty i prestige mids…I have a feeling the new prestige pro will be very similar and better as it’s over 20 years later! Thanks again
I finally tried the 2023 Head Gravity Pro…and you’re right! Best control racket available and it’s a magic wand!!! I ordered 2 of them
What position would the new Blade V9 18x20 be in?
Great video Luca, well done.
I am satisfied with my boom pro, but this video made me want to play with the blade :P
Thanks Lucas! The Boom Pro is a great stick; very underrated.
BEST Racket is the Gravity Pro. After switching from the Speed Pro I immediately realized the best factors of the Gravity. Outstanding feel and control, better spin and on serve more power and accuracy. Like WHAT? How is it possible. Play my best tennis of all time with it. Never want to look back ;) Head is also great ocmpany and we appreciate them in austria :) Great video man!
Thank you! The Gravity definitely gives you that WHAT?! sensation when you first use it. Almost feels illegal...
Nice!!! I use one gravity MP 2022 and i love it! Have a lot of control, good power and the serve is by far the best quality... i will try the new version for sure!
Great to hear!
I know you didn't include the 95 square inch rackets in this video, but I feel the Yonex Vcore 95 2018 version and the new 2023 version deserve an honourable mention.
These 95s don't play like the regular 95 square inch rackets but feel bigger like 97 or even 98 square inch rackets. I guess because of the Yonex's isometric head design.
I agree that they feel bigger than 95s. The issue I have with the current VCORE 95 is the shape. I just don't feel the same solidity and control with this new shape as I do with the other frames on the list.
Nice list! I'm glad to see the VCore Pro 97D racquet made the honorable mention list. What a phenomenal stick--such a great blend of playability and control. I hear you about the thicker beam, though, and muted feeling. To be honest, the VCore Pro 97HD (2019) is one of the best control frames I've ever hit with. Only issue probably is its playability's tough with such a high swingweight.
Thank you! This is very true. I think Yonex wanted to make it more stable and user-friendly this version around which is why they thickened it up a bit.
Thank you for this informative video. Being "old school" and trying to reenter the game after way too many years of emphasis on work and grad programs, I'm used to and prefer smaller-headed racquets. The best I ever played with was the Mac-era Dunlop Max 200G. The racquet was wonderful in so many ways. My level of play was such that I know I can handle a 95 sq in head and would far prefer that since anything larger just starts to feel awkward to me. BTW...I have/had a one-handed backhand with which I could hit slice and top, and my game centered around more powerful but controlled shots from the baseline with a bit heavier topspin than most players of the time (but no where near Rafa, and probably a top that is only average for current players). I used a modified Eastern forehand, much like--from my research--what seems Federer used/uses. Would you please consider doing a review of what you think are the best 95 racquets for control (for 5.0+ players)? And, would you or anyone have a suggestion (based on what I've shared) for something that might play a lot like what the old Max 200G did (preferably 95 head, but not over 97) (The McEnroe Max 200G was, if my research is accurate, 12.5 ounces strung; 18X20 pattern; 8 points HL; RDC (stiffness) of 40; and swingweight of 337.)? The racquet was always incredibly comfortable to play with, and I was able to have good control while generating a lot of power with it, especially for many forehands and backhand topspin passing shots. I've heard good things about the Dunlop CX200 Tour 18X20, and I'd like to narrow it to about 5-6 racquets I can demo through Tennis Warehouse to try and find one to start back with. Sorry...I know that's a lot of info, but I'd be open to and thankful for any suggestions. Thanks!
I'm considering doing a roundup of some of the 95s out there but we don't really carry enough at our store to justify it. The CX200 Tour 18x20 is probably the perfect racket for you - it's a fantastic racket and a true control/precision weapon with fantastic fell and comfort. You may also want to look at the Pro Tour 2.0.
I use the original WPS 85, 4 1/2, 16x18, with gut at 35 pounds and weights in so many areas, and rubber bands at 6 o'clock. I remember the Mac 200G, amazing racket. I had one at one time. Wonder if anything hits like it today. I cannot use large rackets, 85/90 is perfect for me.
85” is the perfect size!😊
Im playing with a vcore pro 96 and its kinda hard to get used to it but for me i think its the best raquet i ever had
Very interesting list....
I have tried many many rackets in many configurations and a couple I found to have excellent control are:
- 2019 Prestiege Mid
- Pro Staff 97 Federer (heavier version)
In addition, my personal racket of choice is an unexpected one. I have always played better with it than anything else and feel as though I get a lot of control with it too (or I wouldn't use it, obviously).
It is the 2014 Pro Staff 95s with some added weight at 3 and 9 (and a leather grip). I absolutely love it.
I do love the RF but still think it's just too demanding for the average player.
Interesting what you're saying about the 95s. One of our staff members is still using that racket and has tried a bunch of new stuff but can't seem to make the switch. I've played with it and appreciate its qualities but my one issue is that it's such a unique frame that it's tough to go back to more "normal" stuff after using it.
@@RacketsRunnersVancouver That is very true. It is my cousins choice of racket and he grew up using the old Federer 90. So it feels like home to him!
Me too... once I found it, it just clicked with me. It just feels like the perfect mix between a spin orientated racket and the feel and control of a Pro Staff - albeit a very risky product for Wilson at the time.
I find it hard to use other rackets as effectively now and other people find it incredibly hard to use my customised 95s, too.
My string of choice is the Volkl Cyclone 1.30 @ 60lbs. However, one of my favourite string combinations (that I don't use due to durability and cost) is natural gut in the mains and Luxilon 4G in the cross.
95s is probably one if greatest frames ever made!
I love my gravity pro! Just bought it! Glad to see it’s number 1 haha!
An all-time awesome racket! You made the right choice.
I have been playing with the Gravity Tour for a good minute and LOVE IT but the 2022 Pro Staff 6.1 100 caught my eye with its classic paint finish and Pro Staff feel, which I used to use in the past.
Haven’t strung it yet but almost regretting my decision as the Gravity Tour pretty much does everything I need. The Pro Staff will still stay in the collection long-term and I got a great price on it so not all is lost😅
Believe me, I know all about how hard it is to move on from the Gravity Tour.
How is it going with the pro staff ?
@@poppiiiii LOL, if you can believe it, I still have not strung it! That's because I have been going with natural gut hybrid and it's so expensive so I am waiting for my current strings on my Gravity Tour to almost break before I send her in. Will update as soon as I do!
How is it going with the pro staff?
@@machumachu777 haha, I STILL have not strung it yet cause I plan to string with gut hybrid that will cost me $70 and my Gravity Tour with gut hybrid is still going and I only play 1-2x/week so I haven't made the justification to restring it yet. I will before the year-end and report back!
Thank you Vid, very helpful, my son use head gravity from 9 years old until now, when he turn 14 years old a few months ago, I moved his racquet from MP lite to Mp, very recently he complained that he lost contol of a lot of finishing shots, then I purchased gravity tour to replace MP as they are same Weight and he told me that it is quite noticeable difference for him, he felt 30% up on contol of shots after he changed from MP to Tour, I wonder could he use pro as well or it too earlier? He is aggressive risky shot player, love to hit the winners all time, I feel pro version will suitable for his game even more but not sure if it is going to be too heavy or too early for a teenage?
1:58 Love the honesty! 🤣
Gotta keep it 💯 always 😂
I agree 100% that the Gravity Pro is a magic racquet - amazing feel, control and easy power
By easy power you mean powerful or not powerful 😅?
Gravity pro is very low powered, I play with the Shift pro at 54lbs what would I need to string the gravity pro at?
Great review, have you tried the Head Speed Pro, another 18x20 control frame that's getting great reviews!
I'm a huge fan of the Speed Pro, I think I just have a mental block when it comes to the Speed because it doesn't "look" like a control racket, but you're right it at least deserves an honorable mention if not a full on spot on this list.
What about the Tecnifibre TF40?, can't believe that one isn't on the list
Also you are missing the Solinco 305 18x20, revolutionary racquet
hello, congratulations for your work!
About the control rackets, is the Dunlop cx 200 a good racket?
I saw some videos about it and it seems to be very good.
what is your opinion?
Thank you! The CX 200 is a great frame, you'll be very happy if you chose to go with it.
I have a Wilson ncode pro open, which racquet would be a good equivalent/replacement?
The Wilson Blade 18x20 is my racket of choice! Pure control, amazing feel. However, I have to say that I preferred the v7 over the v8.
You can add a touch of lead tape
Great vid! Bit random but what shorts do you wear? Length looks shorter and i'm after something similar. Thanks!
Thank you! They are Asics 7" inseam shorts.
Gravity is indeed an addictive racket.
Big fan of control rackets myself... for me the taste be like these sometimes:
VCore Pro, too mushy like Japanese cheesecake
Pro Staff, too stiff like you hitting with a dinosaur's bone
Pure Strike, crispy like Pringles
Gravity Pro = Cocaine
I keep two Gravities, MP and Pro in the end. Planning to get new VCore Pro H later this year.
I love these descriptors; might start have to start doing something like this when describing feel from now on.
Did you ever play with the Vcore Pro 97 HD (2019) , if so, what would be the description? also mushy? I play with it but the way I saw described mushy in the Speed Pro 2022 it doesn't feel like it applies to the VCP HD! Looking to replace it in the future, that's why I'm seeing reviews ✌️
Hey Luca, want string set up and tension would you recommend for the Gravity Pro. I tried a demo that was strung super tight and combined with the tight string spacing, it played very boardy. What set up and tension would you suggest?
I always test my rackets at 53 first and then try another set up based off of what I think will do better. I went way lower with the Pro on my second string job. 49 pounds was great, but honestly, you can go a few pounds lower if you want more spin, more power and a bit more feel.
I've loved my Prestige MP that I've had for a bit over 10 years now. Tried an Ultra Tour for a few years but have gone back to my Prestige as it has a bit more spin. How does the Gravity compare in spin between the two? Looking for something similar to my Prestige with less scratches on the frame now it's aged haha but with a tad more spin ideally.
The Gravity has more spin than both; still fantastic control but more spin and a bit more power.
@@RacketsRunnersVancouver Ah nice, will definitely have to try one out then! Cheers
I bought blindly a gravity pro on Black Friday. I wanted more control on my game that my ezone was lacking (its volley also suck). On the 1st 10min on court I already knew I made the right decision. Easier to generate aggressive pace and man its 10x better on the volleys.
Gravity🚀🧨
I use a Wilson profile 95 and I also like the pro staff, prince graphite all 95s. Is there a modern version of these racquets?
Those will all feel pretty different to current frames but give the current Pro Staff V14 a shot!
Play again the YONEX RDTI 70 .... 15x20 19mm frame! I still had 10 frames.
From 2010 to 2022 I had played various Yonex frames 16x19, for fun I had then taken out the "old RDTI 70" and remain ....
28kg longitudinal+transverse control u. Pure feeling. Power from the technique ....perfekt. ( Ü60 )
What hybrid string setup and tension would you recommend on the prestige pro? Thank you sir
Hawk Touch and Velocity at something like 46/48 would be great, but if you can justify the price of gut, that would be incredible in the Prestige.
Luca, pls, some comment on Gravity Pro vs Speed Pro? Already bot 2 Speed from the store, and love the original green VCore Pro D. Thx.
I think I'll do a video comparing the two very soon. The Speed Pro is more powerful and the Gravity Pro more controlled but both are elite rackets.
Thanks for your continued support, we really appreciate it.
At 10:35 same goes for the Babolat Strike 16x19. Just switched from “everything Wilson” of 3+ years to Babolat and there’s no going back 😂
The Strike is an amazing racket that I definitely could have included in there.
That's a great control list!
Could you do a comparisson between:
- Wilson Blade 16x19
- Yonex Percept 97
- Head Gravity MP
- Wilson Blade 18x20
- Head Radical MP
This would be the best intermediate to advanced players byers guidance video ever!
Great idea! Once all the releases are done, I'll make a video like this.
Hi, I've always played with the Pure Strike, but I've been experiencing elbow pain. I bought a Clash 98 to temporarily solve the problem, but in the future, I want to switch to something that gives me more control. I'm an intermediate-advanced club player. What options do you suggest for advanced players looking for comfort? I play with a lot of topspin, but I don't like the Pure Aero due to its high stiffness. I've been considering the VCore 98, Gravity Pro (or MP), or Blade 18x20. Any other suggestions? Or should I stick with the Clash 98 (which is actually very good)? The Blade has lower stiffness, but it provides less access to topspin.
If you do like the Clash, I think it's a very viable racket for advanced players. Sometimes you need to ignore what other people say about a racket and do what works best for you. The Blade 18x20 or 16x19 would be the most logical development from the Clash and has zero difference in comfort. The Gravity Pro is also extremely comfortable but it's not traditionally spin-friendly, per se. I would be careful with the VCORE despite the low-ish stiffness, I don't find it to be UNcomfortable but it's certainly not a pillow.
@@RacketsRunnersVancouver Thank you very much! Actually Clash 98 (Stringed with Hyper-G) is working really well for me. The most important thing is to be able to play without pain, and not care what others say. That's true, club players feel there is some merit in playing with professionally endorsed racquets. Thanks for the reply, i will be testing Blade 18x20 and 19x16 (which i think will be my choice, due to access to spin).
Cheers from Brazil
I'm still using an IG Prestige MP. I would love to try this in a 97 or 98 but I've been using these for so long that it would be a headache to get used to new frames. Using the same frames for 13 years means that I don't have to think about the racquets. The Auxetic PP sounds nice. Any comments on the Angell TC95 and TC97?
Definitely a fair point. My suggestion would be, if you do choose to switch it up, don't go on a crazy demo journey. Stick to one or two frames you know you'll like and take the necessary time to get used to them. Chances are it'll be a quicker process than you think, especially with the right strings.
I have actually never played with an Angell racket, unfortunately.
I think you will feel right at home with the Angell's. I've played the TC95 in both 16x19 and 18x20, and the TC97 in 18x20, all of them are 310g / 315mm balance. The TC95 16x19 is surprisingly powerful for a 95, it's got a serious amount of pop, at the expense of a high launch angle given how open the pattern is. The 18x20 is much more controlled, with a much lower launch angle. They are super comfortable owing to the foam filling and the low RA (63 unstrung / 60 strung). The TC97 18x20 is not miles off the TC95 18x20, with similar power and low launch angle, the difference is mainly in the feel. It's ever so slightly firmer (66 unstrung / 63 strung) and has a different flex profile. While the beam of the 95 is D shaped, the 97 is a box beam similar to a Prestige, meaning that the 95 flexes uniformly, while the 97 feels firmer in the throat and at the shoulders, and flexes more in the head. They are all superb options, coming at a level of consistency in quality control that large brands can't match. All of my frames (I have bought 7) have come within 1g and 1mm of desired specs. If you have a specific SW you want to achieve, you can just ask Paul Angell, and the racquet you'll get will be within 2 points. Where you're coming from, perhaps the TC97 18x20 is the way to go, and you get to chose your specs for weight and balance.
@@johnnyguitar6697 Thanks for the detailed response.
I have a Wilson Braided Pete Sampras autographed 95.
hello, I currently play with a pure aero 23 and I feel like I have little control over my shots
I would like to try a couple of classics including gravity MP/tour, radical MP
what would I gain and what would I lose from these three heads compared to my babolat?
The Gravity MP will be the most "similar"; you'll gain a lot of feel and control but lose out least on spin. The Tour will be similar although it will have a lower launch angle and more solid/controlled feel than the MP, with a much more significant drop in spin. The Radical MP will be harder to use because of the smaller head size but it is definitely worth a demo if you do want to go a little smaller because it's one of the best all-around playability rackets.
@@RacketsRunnersVancouver I also have a similiar situation, thinking of trying gravity tour/mp.
Do your think gravity tour is also a great racket? As some reviews out there said that pro is great, while tour/mp are disappointing.
Is control oriented rackets like gravity more suitable for flat-hitters than rackets like PA 23?
Will the increase control and lower launch angle for gravity make it more easier to hit volleys?
I find the Artengo TR960 to be awfully good. I did add weight on the tip and the 9 and 3 position. String with 18 gauge on the cross and 17 on the mains. 21 kilos. Triangular poky. Decent setup, ball stays in. Said farewell to my Henman Probraided after 25 years.
I'd love to try it but I don't think as a store we'll ever be able to bring it in.
Just got the Wilson blade 98 v8 18x20. Put rpm power at 51for tension . The strings felt dead and new at the same time. Any string recommendations for this racquet. Looking for a bit more power without losing the control. Thanks
I would go even lower, but with a stiffer/snappier string. RPM Blast/Rough!
I like a lot the Hyper G 17 (1.20mm) in my Blade v8 16x19... it plays really well... i think it would be great in 18x20 too!
Could you please tell me the differences between the blade 98 16x19 and the gravity pro?
The Blade will have more spin and the Gravity more power and directional control.
I played for many years with the Wilson pro staff 285 grs six one hundred and since I m 55 years I was looking for some racquet with great control and power and bought the blade v8, 285 grs. The last one is too stiff for me I’ve lost the feel I had with the previous one. Do you have any recommendation? I would sincerely appreciate.
It may be a little bit too heavy if you want to stick to 285 grams, but the Gravity MP would be a fantastic option.
I'm scared of the massive swingweight of the Gravity Pro. What about the Gravity Tour. Where would that rank for control please?
It's also great but not quite as special as the Pro. It's the one I was using out of the Gravity line for the better part of 3 years.
@sRunnersVancouver Thanks. The specs of the Tour seem spot on for me. I would ad a leather grip too and it should be perfect. My go to racket is a Pure Control 95 at the moment and was wondering what racket would offer similar control with a larger head size.
Possibly the Blade.
Head Gravity Pro is a cheet code in the game of tennis💯. I play Tennis the hard way using head Radical Pro which is highly technical and unforgivable. Switching to Gravity Pro with forgivable control and power if you have the muscle to swing improved not only my forehand, single-handed backhand but also my serves. Gravity pro is the best for now !!!!
It's hilarious because the word "cheat" and Gravity seem to organically pop up every time I mention it and I completely agree. It really is a unique frame that plays so incredibly well it does almost make you feel like you're cheating.
based on this video Prestige Pro is suprisingly the most easy to swing;)
Do you think there's a big enough difference between the 2023 Head Gravity Pro and and 2021-2022 versions to upgrade?
There is a big enough difference in feel to justify a switch if you prefer the racket but by no means is the 360+ obsolete. It also has a lower swingweight so for those people that were "swingweighted out" of the previous one, they could definitely switch to this one.
I did not like the new Auxetic one. Way too muted and powerful vs the Graphene 369
Im thinking of buying the Pro staff 97 v14. What do you think the best string is for this racket?
I think Lynx Tour or Alu Power is great depending on what you want in terms of feel.
I'm still looking for the replacement for my classic prestige. The new prestige line is great but it doesn't have the same touch at the net like the old prestige. If anyone has a good suggestion lmk.
The Dunlop CX 200 Tour 18x20 could be an excellent option.
would you think gravity MP lite good enough or far away from the pro version?
It's very far from the Pro but also a great racket for the right player.
@@RacketsRunnersVancouver intermediate player?
what do you think about gravity pro 2021 vs 2023?
They are very similar but the 2023 is slightly softer/better feel and the 2021 has a higher stock swingweight.
The head shape of the Gravity line does take some getting used to with its Yonex isometric head shape characteristics. And compared to the Prestige, it doesn’t give you as good a feel as the Prestige. Gravity is more for the aggressive baseliner, but if you like to go the net, the Prestige is superior in my opinion
Agree that the Prestige is much better at the net. Manoeuvrability is a downside of the Gravity line.
What about the Head Prestige MP 2021 auxetic ( 99") how is that one compared to Gravity pro?
That's a very good question and I've been wanting to test the two together for a while. I'll try to do a full comparison when the new Prestige comes out.
Head speed pro 2022 is mine
For sure, lot's of people here saying the Speed Pro and you guys are right. I'll do a comparison between the Gravity and Speed Pro soon.
I moved from a v6 blade 18x20 to a gravity head pro 2021
Total game changer
Gravity head pro is a cheat racket. It’s made my ground strokes and serve deeper, faster, more spin without giving up control on my slices, drop shots and volleys
I total agree with your video the racket doesn’t really make sense
Welcome to the club!
I loved the Prestige feel, and wish I could wield it longer than 20 minutes... Canada needs access to the Gravity Tour, I feel like that's such a sleeper!
You're preaching to the choir with the Gravity Tour. It was my racket of choice for 3 years and I wish I could at least try the new one!
Need a vid with Mike O!
You guys should make fun youtube shorts too(just cut the pauses/filler lead-up talk and I think you can release these as shorts too. also, maybe keep the camera moving slightly on the talking heads,), I think the channel would blow up. Loving your content
The Shorts are a great idea and we're definitely looking into it going forward. Thank you for the great feedback!
What is the difference between the graphene 360+ gravity pro and the gravity pro? 🎾
The Auxetic Gravity Pro is softer and has a slightly lower stock swing weight.
@@RacketsRunnersVancouver Thank you, I ended up going for pure aero Rafa x
How does gravity mp play compared to gravity pro?
The MP is much more user friendly and spin friendly and the Pro much more solid and controlled.
Damn you are one strong dude
How do they compare to k-blade tour (93)?
The K-Blade will have more precision and control, for sure, but can't really compare in terms of user-friendliness, power, and spin to any of the rackets on this list.
95s rule. I grew up playing with a wood racquet, so 95 still feels big to me.
Totally, I guess it's all relative. I grew up with a Microgel Extreme and as much as I like going to a 95 once in a while, I always end up realizing it's a little too small for me.
Same here, I learnt tennis in the late 70's with a wood racquet. I find most 100's very unwieldy, especially on the OHBH. I currently play with the Vcore 95 2023, and really like it.
I grew up with wood racquets also and then moved to a Wilson Ultra FPK which was a 95 when that headsize was considered mid plus and 85s (Wilson) and 90s (Prince) were the standard for mids unless you used Head or Dunlop because they usually were even smaller with Head Edge at 84, the Head Graphite Pro at 89.5 and the Dunlop Max 200G also at 84. So to me 93s and 95s always felt normal. Today I like the 97s and the 98s because I still use a one-handed backhand and find smaller heads cut through the air better even though I would agree that for most people, including even advanced players, that 100s are better all-around. It’s not really a rational criteria for choosing a frame but I also just prefer the more balanced aesthetic proportions of the 95s and 97s. If you string with lighter gauge strings and a little lower in tension you can usually get similar pop from the true mid plus frames because of the extra heft and the more concentrated weight distribution. The biggest issue is just getting the mass moving early enough and having good footwork and timing or you end up framing a lot of shots.
This is a very interesting response, even more so because it's coming from someone who has actually experienced each transition since wood rackets. I've played with a huge variety of frames but didn't actually live through each era so it's interesting to hear this come from someone who has the experience.
I love what you say about the aesthetics of a 95/97 because there was a period in my life where I had a mental block about using 100s because I didn't like the look. That might not be super important for playability but there is something to be said about being 100% in love with everything about your racket.
I have previous gravity pro version and super curious to try the new one. But my main girl over last year has been the Boom Pro. Slightly lesser swing weight allows for faster swings and the shape allows for a loopy dipping shot from baseline. I don’t sacrifice control but gain some pop in ground strokes and serves.
The Boom Pro is such an underrated racket. The new Gravity Pro won't be that different to the old one (at least not much closer in playability to the Boom), but it's so good that I would recommend a demo.
Sad that HEAD doesn't make their racquet in Austria. The quality control is my beef. Nothing against China but their goal is volume not quality. Companies want volume sold low in production so profits high. Consumer loses. YONEX🙏👍
I understand where you're coming from but it has gotten much MUCH better over the last several years.
All brands made rackets in china
What about percept line?
Amazing for control but this video was made before it came out.
What about Dunlop cx 200?
It's a great racket but doesn't quite crack the Top 5 in my opinion.
Prestige Pro is just 2 demanding imho. Blade is easier
I heard the gravity line is a similar mold to the first two generations of Speed rackets, is that true?
I had the IG Speed MP and it was fantastic, but I didn’t like the newer generations of speed so went to a Prestige MP for the control. I’ve always wanted to go back, but haven’t found a frame that is similar
It's the exact same mold as the IG Speed MP!
the new color line for the Pro Staff is abysmal, I wouldn't buy V14 just because of that. hopefully V15 will be black on black like V13
surprised none of the vcore pro are listed, especially the 95
maybe cuz there is no vcore pro 95 😅
I put the VCORE Pro 97D in the honorable mentions but it's definitely up there. The VCORE 95 has good control but I don't think it's as good as the others on this list.
@@RacketsRunnersVancouver i demoed the 97D and the 95 at the same time, the feel and stability of the 97D was sensational but I fell I played better with the 95 even though it didnt provide that buttery feel. Now I ve been on the 95 for about 10-12 matches and I find it great when i control the point but i m struggling when defending, even at volley. Now I understand why people say it s a demanding racket, I think I should have opted for the 97D now
@@matrevel9938 The 97D will be as demanding when you're stretched in defense, owing to a higher static weight and a much tighter string pattern. The 2 additional square inches will hardly offset that. If you want something from Yonex that allows a decent control while still helping you out in tight situations, the Ezone 98 is the one to go for.
Head Speed PWR: try to control the speed of that 115 (!) inch blade on a only 255 gram racket.
It was a close call believe me
What about pure strike
It's a great one as well!
not too sure about what you said
You missed the Prince ATS 98 - easily the best controlled racket
I haven't gotten to play with it but would love to try it if we bring it in.
It's a luxury getting to choose a tennis racquet to your liking. For most, it's getting used to whatever racquet you have. That is if you're stuck with one or two in your tennis bag, getting a new one is not a priority.
No clash 108 on this list?
Unfortunately not but I know how much you like it
I m wandering where this tred will transport us...in 10-20 years ...maybe the rules for the biggest frame allowed will change ...that will look funny 😅
Haha you never know, but I was going to add a comment in the video saying, "I hope we stop at 100 😅"
Speed pro 👻
Definitely. It at least deserved an honorable mention but I always have a little block when it comes to the Speed because it doesn't really "look" like a control racket. But it's a fantastic frame.
I disagree that you took out the 95 rackets. The reasoning is wrong. You probably haven't tried the Dunlop cx200 tour. That racket has a bigger sweet spot than the prestige and because of the rounded shape of the hoop, it is more all round control racket than most other rackets. I also have the gravity pro and i had the blade v8 as well as the prestige. But the cx200 tour would be the only 95 i would add to your list as the vcore 95 latest version is not a control racket anymore. It's just a low powered spin monster. I have it in my bag and the spacing on the strings is so wide that it just cannot be put in the control spectrum as it is less controlled than last version. I'm not saying it's a bad racket, it is fantastic and easier to play with than a lot of bigger rackets, but it is not a control stick.
The only reason 95 rackets are going extinct is the perception people have that a 95 stick is difficult to play with.
Pro staff 97, prestige 98 are less forgiving than the Dunlop cx200 tour.
You're right about the CX 200 Tour, it's at least worth an honourable mention. And, yes, the reason for not including the VCORE 95 isn't so much for it not being forgiving enough but just because it's not a control racket, like you said.
The CX 200 is a better control frame than everything on this list. That said, I still can’t let go of my Wilson K90’s.
tru classic and no pro staff in that , i feel offended as a pro staff player
I have a blx blade 98 18x20 I am willing to sell
You don't carry the Gravity Tour, eh? Such a shame....
Don't get me started. Such a great racket but unfortunately not available for Canadian retailers.
you are crazy 🤣
In a... good way?
@@RacketsRunnersVancouver nope 🤪
Spin rackets, please.
👀 🔜
If u are not young, dont use any of these rackets ...they are a recipe for elbow and wrist injuries
definitely not for me. I always played control rackets but modern Head ones are not for me.
Have you tried the 2023 Gravity Pro? I've spent a lot of time with some of Head's most legendary frames and I gotta put it up there in terms of pretty much every control characteristic.
“I’ve decided to leave 95s off my list…” says the bloke talking about control racquets. Bye 👋🏻
your face and the forehead are 2 colors hahahha, I think you should balance them
I know, it's horrible. I have to start wearing sunscreen while I play or just get rid of the hat 😅
Too obvious you are biased towards Head. Awful choice of número 1 racquet. Have more respect for a truly classic control racket, the Wilson pro staff. Poor review. 😂
I really think you'd sell a lot more racquets if you waved your hands forward more.
