Thanks for this video. I'm a 3.5 player (recently demoted to 3.0 from after a losing USTA year) and while it took me a few months of coaching, I switched to the 16x19 from a pure strike and I"m sold on this racket - it forced me to improve my strokes & footwork and now I wouldn't do without it.

Spot on assessment of the Blade v9’s … I ended up with both and had them customized with the same specs 11.55 > 4HL > 331 but the 16x19 is your offensive option between the 2 string patterns. The 18x20 just makes the impossible… possible. Excellent review of the 5 🤙🏽

Hi, after watching your video I bought my own Gravity Pro Auxetic. I really like the stick but I think the strings that come with the racket are not the best ones and can't feel what you described. Do you think that putting a soft power poly at around 52 pounds is going to make a difference? Thanks

It might be a little obvious that you’re a Percept fanboy. However, I agree. I switched from the new Babolat Pure Aero, to the Percept 97, and I absolutely love it.

And I need to ask you for some direct advice again please...I've narrowed it down to the Percept 97, Blade 98 16x19 V9 and the Tfight 305. I've put a leather grip on each and have added some weight at 10 and 2 on the Percept. Trying to decide on one and stick to it. Need help :) I'm 45, used to play at college level in the States and now trying to get back into it; lefty; one handed backhand (my strength); and trying to get more of a modern heavy-spin forehand compared to my more traditionally flat, not-so-reliable stroke. Good video, I like your explanation why certain racquets are consistently better for 1HBH. One of the most important components of a 'racquet review' for 1HBH, is that we need to be certain the player has a mechanically sound 1HBH. Without proper swing mechanics, every player would want something lighter. What you sort of mentioned about weight being important is critical with the 1HBH as the player gets the racquet in motion with good kinetic chain mechanics, and the heavier a stick they can wield, the more the racquet will stay in plane to accomplsh the best shot. With exception to the Yonex sticks (I played the old VCore 97 HG 330, (Post Wawarinka 2014 GS win) Each of the others you mention I have played as my stick of choice, I would add that I spent a couple years using the Wilson PS97 RFa V11 and then V13, magnificant sticks, but very demanding! I would add to your list another stick. The most recent Prince Tour ATS 95. Its a 320g, 8pts head light, Low 320's SW, thin box beam. Communicates well, manuverers well, and is a joy to hit. Add a leather grip, and you have quite a nice 1HBH machine. I play the Pro Staff 97 v14, have about 5 grams at 10 and 2, and a leather grip. It's pretty much nirvana. My other fav would be as you mentioned the newest Head Prestige Pro. They did some good changes to the most recent layup, and it's butter to hit. Not as powerful as the PS97 v14 but more buttery and comfortable. Also at 320 grams and I add a leather grip.

Personally I haven’t tired most of these racket aside from the staff and blade but I will say I’m a certified Wilson glazer so I love the v9 with 4g 125 rough at 54. Still need to try but I mean there’s really no downside to the blade to me.

At last year's video, I had vcore 98,100 gravity tour, mp.. Now I have radical pro, vcore 100, percept 100d and blade 16*19. I think radical will go and definitely no more head. looking it get a percept 97 and pro staff x. Yonex is definitely nailing with updates!!!

I have recently started playing with Head Prestige MP 2024 (18×19) and I have to say that my elbow feels much better with the 2.0. aux and I managed to find the right balance between control/feel/spin/stability. I highly recommend 👌 Also, I got one-handed backhand and it works perfect for me (having in mind your excellent video for the one-handed backhands)

Well done! I haven't tested all of these racquets (Prestige and Dunlop are missing on my list), but hearing the explanation I could imagine how they would play. Also fits perfectly to the frames that I actually had in my hand. Tier list would be nice, but not really necessary. There were 7 popular racquets in the vid, well explained for everyone to make a preselection. What would like even more is how less popular brands would compare to these top 5. Hasn't Prince just released the new Phantom?

i play one hand backhand with Head speed pro 2013 and want to get a new one between pure strike 97 or 98 ; pure aero rafa or maybe pro staff 97 but i heard pro staff 97 is getting a little bit soft , which do u think is the one should get? thx

Interesting, I think the opposite, gravity pro shines in volleys. I'm even doing some serve and volley from time to time just for the fun of it.
