I loved the 9s for that combo of lockdown, stability, and speed you mentioned. “Wear it and forget it” feeling, gave lots of confidence. Sounds like I might have to look elsewhere when I need a replacement, I might not be the target audience anymore
I’ve been a Gel Resolution fan for a long time. But recently switched to the Speed FF 3 & really loving their nimble feeling. They are as light as some of my running shoes, so looks like I made the switch at the right time.
nice review; your review is a good complement to Foot Doctor Zach's review. It is a nice perspective. Unfortunately I'm less interested in ths shoe... leaning more towards the Speed line or the GR 9.
Hi Luca, Many thanks for this review, the 9 were really too narrow for me, guess I'll try these ones. Btw, isn't it a Gravity 98 you're hitting with ? Is it worth a swap ?
I have a 9 but found that upper started breaking at the lace holes after a while so a stiffer upper might be a needed upgrade because the shoe is great otherwise. The standard laces were also short so I hope that they improved that as well.
I’d really like to see a video on the comfort and playability of the Wilson 87 shoes. They claim to be a court friendly shoe, but I’m curious to what degree of comfort and durability…
On the Gel Res 9's it was so much longer and narrower than any other fitting shoe. These are excellent shoes but I wish Asics would address the fit. Just make it fit like any other regular shoe....For me, the fit has been a dealbreaker.
I have Gel-Resolution 8, 9, and Court FF 2 and 3. I agree that the forefoot is narrow for Gen-Resolution when you put your feet into them at the 1st moment every single time, but my experience is that the shoes will adapt to your foot shape like 1 or 2 min later and have literally perfect fit. The "weird" feeling is due to the forefoot DYNAWRAP and basically you'll not encounter similar feeling with other shoes in your daily life, that's why you'll feel weird at first time wear Gel-Resolution On the other hand, the fit of Court FF 2 and 3 will just stay there as is. If they fit you well initially, then they fit; if they don't, then they won't, forever. That's why I prefer Gel-Resolution 9 over Court FF 3 (though I do prefer the socks-type tongue construction of Court FF more as I'm a bit obsessive compulsive about the center position of the shoe tongues 😓).
I was a 9.5 in the GR8, a 10 in GR9 and now ive just ordered two more GR9s as to stock up since i'll be passing on the 10 simply based on the fit change and the excessive weight gains. I aso ordered a SSFF3 to try out since it looks like GR line is moving in a direction I dont want to go.
Ahah you wrecked your ankle due too your maniacal obsession with sliding. Well at least you admitted it. Crazy bar steward. I'm pretty sure I can count on one hand the number times I slid in my 65 years of tennis. That was because I lost my footing not because I induced the slide. You really must take better care of those ankles Luca, your game was improving nicely. (and great fun watching you run Beckett's heiny off) Tell you the truth last year was really confusing buying my FF's. I'd never bought such a big pair of sneaks ever, so this new sizing is really encouraging to me. Confused why they reduced the number of pivot points, sounds like they were trying to make the shoe less CLOG like for sprinting to the net (just a theory) Aesthetic V10... Looks like something you'd wear to a Taylor Swift concert. Honestly? Give me a cleaner, more plain looking shoe please so I don't look and feel like I'm in clown shoes. Play against a Dutchman he's 6'3" and he claims he's had his Resolutions about 5 years and he plays a ship load of tennis. So tell me, have you heard how long this year's iteration should last? In good weather I'm playing tennis 8-9 times a week then weather permitting in winter, but all of this is Doubles. I could hang with you and Beckett a set maybe but after I might need to crack open an oxygen bottle. You two can really hammer away I've noticed. Recommend, carry lots of colours, I hunch you sell more. For absolute certain you won't catch me dead or alive in purple and orange tennis shoes. I far more liked the 9's you were holding up. Now that's a great looking shoe. The 10's look more suitable for Halloween but at least Margaret understands me 🎃🤥👋🏼
I need to use ASO Ankle Stabilizers like you, and unfortunately, they ruin the back of my shoes after just a few months of use. Do you have any advice to help reduce this problem, or do you experience the same issue?
Hello, sorry to be off topic i dont know where to ask you that but about boom pro 2022 vs 2024 in percent how much more stable the 2024 is? (I needed to add lead @12 and throat to make the 2022 suitable for me..better stability/targeting and less randomness) And more broadly in percent how much are they different? Regards ( i would have never bought thr boom pro if it wasn t heavily discounted but i feel very lucky cause it s a really good racket but the added lead tape is tiring for me)...ps: i was also a soccer cleat - nerdy addict
Hi, good Review! Let me ask You, how do You know tour size? My longest foot is 26,5 Cms, should I go 8,5 (26,5 cm), or more? I wear 8,5 in fila, little short, and 10 in babolat jet Tere. I tried court ff size 9 ( 27cm) and felt wide and short...should I let space on front? On running shows they Say You should go 1,5 Cms more...how should tennis shoes fit? Thanks man!!!
I'm struggling to understand why I would pick up this shoe over the 9 or the court ff3. If I want a comfortable quick shoe I'll go with the 9, if I wanted to trade that for more stability, I'd go with the court which is a tank and makes me feel like I will literally never get injured. I guess this is supposed to be a compromise between them but it seems like an odd choice.
Couldn’t agree more. This is so stupid. The 9 is such a great shoe. Everyone loves the 9 bc of the versatility. Why make another tank of a shoe? I’m sorry the majority of tennis players do NOT slide.
Because 9 is very narrow unless you can get a 2E, which are gone quickly. 10 is the first performance grade tennis shoes with anatomical toes box design
According to the different reviews so far: Medium Sized Feet go half size down in the GR10. (compared to the GR9 and other shoes) due to the toebox being very room-y.
Based on this review I’m stoxking up on 9s I played 100 Hours in my res 9 this summer with no issues any where in durability How many tennis players slide on hard court? Percentage wise small I guess I think they will lose customers with these changes
im of the opinion that these look awful and i dont know. i think the fit for many people could be rlly bad. who knows but luca kept talking about how the fit is a bit shoddy and idk. court ff3s could be better now or something else idk.... not looking as good though
I just received these shoes and they are a total disappointment. I have been wearing the Resolutions for almost ten years now, always a big fan however this latest version is bad. They sure feel super stable, almost impossible to roll your ankle on them, also the toe box is nice and roomie however that hard plastic on top of the foot is very uncomfortable. The plastic bends very weird where the bridge of the foot connects into the toes and is very uncomfortable. Sorry ASICS, I don't see this version being a fan favorite.
Tennis shoes today are horrible. Mostly made with hard plastic. Cheap Chinese. Where the good ol days of pure leather high tops. Now that was quality and style.

soccer reviews for you is the true GOAT Luca! watched every video when I was younger!
darn. I was super happy with the fit of the 9. just fit perfectly for me. Looks like I'm stocking up!
I got me a pair of 9’s not too long ago and I’ve got to say they’re the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn, so I’ll probably hold off on the 10s
I’ve been a Gel Resolution fan for a long time. But recently switched to the Speed FF 3 & really loving their nimble feeling. They are as light as some of my running shoes, so looks like I made the switch at the right time.
I wanted the 9’s so bad but they’re too small for me. Gonna give the 10’s a try!

where is the all black version????
Nice review! Im looking to get some new shoes this year and this is really helpful. Can you review other brands? the new nike or Adidas shoes?
great video!🎉

Very good review 👍🎾🙏
If I need more cushion, more ankle security and outsole durability should I go for Gel Res X or Gel Res 9?

Looks like it is going to Court ff’s territories, leaving à gap between gel res/ court ff and the solution speed

How do these fit compared to the Gel Resolution 8?
Can I use them for padel?

So if I fit to 10 in this shoes I must choose the 9,5 right ? Thanks
Yes.
Does it come in blue?
Is that the new radical?
it seems like the GRX has the issue that I had with GR8. True size is too long, down half size is too tight. GR9 is perfect for me.
Is the all-black colorway going to be released?
it's Black with Orange and looks awesome!
Yeah saw that one but I'm looking for the prerelease all black 'confidential' ones they sent to reviewers
@ yes I think those are top-secret demos only
why you never review diadem racket???
Buying more 9’s as we speak. Great review but I didn’t have a single issue with the 9 that you did.
vapor pro 3 out!
40grams wtf? i guess they decided to make the GRes the durability tank shoe. thanks for review

commented just this lol agree alot
Because 9 is very narrow unless you can get a 2E, which are gone quickly. 10 is the first performance grade tennis shoes with anatomical toes box design
Why it is looks so tall on the sole
So if I understand you go with your true size with the gel res 10 and you go up half size with the 9.
According to the different reviews so far:
Medium Sized Feet go half size down in the GR10. (compared to the GR9 and other shoes) due to the toebox being very room-y.
@@dcoll800 Thank you !

Anyone else wearing a 10 when usually a 9.5 for the res-9’s?
yes, my sneaker size is 9.5 but had to size up to 10 for the gel resolution 9s
sorry, this however was a great review. keep up the good work!
9s we’re perfect for me so I don’t fall for the grass is greener argument.
Im more focused on the new hairstyle
First
Seems like a down grade if I read between the lines. Foot Doctor Zack wasn't really a fan as well (even though he didn't say that specifically)
Not a huge fan. That mid length inside thing is weird
It's football :P
im of the opinion that these look awful and i dont know. i think the fit for many people could be rlly bad. who knows but luca kept talking about how the fit is a bit shoddy and idk. court ff3s could be better now or something else idk.... not looking as good though

Kinda seems like a overall downgrade this time around.
Nothing fits like the 7s
Tennis shoes today are horrible. Mostly made with hard plastic. Cheap Chinese. Where the good ol days of pure leather high tops. Now that was quality and style.
That's a weird looking racket
