2:01 like the Wilson spin effect racquets, prime example is the Wilson Pro Staff 95S that I have in my bag, 16x15 string pattern which was ridiculous. What it did was chew through strings.
"Super awkward if he (Djokovic) just loses tomorrow" We're in the same boat though I was supporting Alcaraz (for the sake of Roger's records), still I was not expecting a loss on Novak's side. My question is how would this list change if multifilament strings are in question (Because all reviewers assume the use of co-polys, or at least hybrid set-ups). Since we are talking overall performance maybe new racquets would be on the list.
I'm still traumatized from 2019. In my mind the guy is an invincible alien from another planet. It is true that a lot of reviewers brush over multis (as do I) but part of the reason we do is because I think a lot of rackets nowadays are made with polys in mind. I don't play with multis but may take them out to the court soon so I can make a video.
@@RacketsRunnersVancouver "a lot of rackets nowadays are made with polys in mind" I wish I could contradict that but have to agree 100%. They are also designed mainly for 2HB strokes.
My game is totally based on spin. My two choices are vcore100 and Aero100. Gotta use both cuz the feeling is just so different that I never get bored.. Love It!
I'm not the biggest fan. A bit too wild for me and it has a really low swing weight so it got pushed around a little too much IMO. It may have been worth a mention but that's where my personal biases come in.
Could you do a 'top 5' series but on those racquets where it's your first racquet beyond the tweener. One with slightly less power and a little more control, but not quite a control racquet. Something for us new 4.0's or 4.5's that are needing more control
Definitely more spin, power and precision with the aero (it’s a really good racket lol), but the Ezone does have that really good feel and user-friendliness that you just can’t get anywhere else.
Great vid! I would've like tho a more comparison take between the racquets, I really don't know why you put a racquet higher than the others, why did you like the extreme more than the vcore? Where are the differences in playability?
Overall playability would be the #1 reason a racket is above an other. In the case of the Extreme and VCORE, the Extreme has more spin, but also better feel and control IMO.
Hi, I'm considering getting a new racket and I'm mainly looking at the extreme tour and vcore 98. I've demoed both with unknown strings and I find vcore 98 has a lot of power and sometimes unpredictable power while extreme tour is more consistent in terms of power and control and at the same time less powerful and lower launch angle compared to vcore 98. I don't know if you've tried these two rackets with the same string or not and I wonder which one you recommend! Also I'd be interested to hear if there are any other racket in the same category that's worth trying!
You're definitely on the right track with that consistency comparison. Always go with the one you feel more comfortable with and that means going for the more consistent one IMO. The Aero 98 is also great for so many players so throw that one into the mix!
We don't have an Origin demo so there's not much we can do with that racket at the moment but if that changes I'll definitely look into something like that!
Would it be possible to do a similar comparison for racquets designed for flat (or at least more point-and-shoot) hitters? The only shot I hit with spin is my 2nd serve, and finding an 18x20 frame that doesn't feel like a sledge hammer on the swing (Yonex Vcore pro HD I'm looking at you) is getting more difficult by the day.
Another sweet video man always super engaging and fun honestly prefer your style and energy to tennis nerd! I’ve been trying to replace my 10+ year old racket that I had since my 13th. I had no idea it’s this hard, especially when I’m clueless about my own game. Tried to demo rackets but didn’t get much wiser from that :/ Currently trying Wilson Clash & Gravity Tour, but I wanna test Vcore 98 and aero after :)
Be careful not to go down too big of a rabbit hole. Demoing can be exciting but you can also get lost with all the playability differences between rackets. I would keep it to the Gravity Tour and Clash that you have.
@@RacketsRunnersVancouver I don’t plan to demo too many. I made a list of rackets that I was most interested in because I used a Wilson Pro Open (Spin racket). The clash and Gravity Tour was suggested by the store but didn’t like it. I had the EZONE and the Shift before that, and I’m liking the Ezone the most. Though, I’d possibly go for 98 over 100.
