    I wanted TGTB simply math to work for our family so badly! It’s beautiful curriculum and so fun! I had 4 kids in 4 different levels (k, 2, 4 and 6) and it spiraled way too fast for all of them. They were presented with so many new concepts at a time without having had enough time to learn the previous concepts. I’ve found that their math program “casts wide, but not deep”. We’ll switch to more of a mastery approach next year, but we love TGTB for science and handwriting! Such a great company!

    Your girls!!! Love watching them doing their homework! Sometimes I go back to your homeschool videos just to get some motivation and watching your girls helps even though I'm no longer homeschooling my 4yo. Last year we did tot schooling and for a while it was a success but now she doesn't stay focused and her attention span has drastically decreased 😢 hope to go back on track sooner or later

      That’s wonderful!! I’m so happy to hear that! It’s great not being tied down to a specific schedule.

    We have used TGTB this year, and half of last year for my then pre-k daughter. I love the level K LA, and both my kids love the math. My son is advanced in LA so the level 2 is mostly review and I have decided to do something different for LA for him next year (he is on the spectrum and I’m starting to hone in on his learning style, and seeing how advanced his understanding is)!!
    I’m excited for level 1 LA and math for my daughter next year, although she’ll start the level 1 math next month since she blew through the level k lol. I’ll use level 3 math for my son, he loves the math 😊😊😊😊
    Thanks for sharing! Love to see the girls, they are so sweet. Great job mama!!

    We used TGTB level K LA and Math as a supplement to our core curriculum this past year and this year, and I am happy to say that we will use TGTB level 1 LA and Math as our core curriculum going forward! Thank you for helping us make this decision so much easier!😊

    We are using Abeka phonics for kindergarten this year and TGATB for math and handwriting. Next year we will continue with Abeka and we are using math with confidence for 1st grade and continue handwriting with the TGATB. Not sure if we are going to use TGATB math to supplement. We love the TGATB I’m not sure it fits my sons learning style. Which I’m bummed but I still recommend TGATB.

    We use TGTB for our daughters kindergarten prep and level 1. We are all enjoying it especially the booster cards.

      We’ve had some struggles with wanting to give up when things get hard. So after a few talks, them realizing they have mastered hard things before, I decided a little reminder on the board would be helpful 🥰

    I just realized we were using the old version of Level 1. 😢 I'm glad we are only on lesson 9. My girl will not mind after seeing the card version for the phonic and sight word ladders. 😅Just order the cards and readers. 🎉🎉 We'll be printing the book at home! ❤ thank you, Brittany. 😊

    My 2nd grade daughter uses math 2 and level 2 LA and my 5th grade son uses level 4 LA (teaching textbooks for math). TGATB is so easy to teach and it’s fun for the kids ❤

    Ik kids go at their own pace but I feel discouraged comparing samara and my son. My son turns 6 in Oct too and he doesn't know half the things she does!

    • @BrittanyLynnHomeschool
      @BrittanyLynnHomeschool  Год назад +7

      I know comparison can leave us feeling discouraged and I never post these videos trying to show off. Just because our kids are the same age, doesn’t mean they’ll know the same material. Even my twins are developing at vastly different rates. With the same upbringing. So view your son as right where he needs to be and focus on appropriate challenges. You’ve got this!

    • @josie9583
      @josie9583 Год назад +3

      @Brittany Lynn oh of course I know that 😊 but ya you're right. Different abilities. My friends daughter isn't homeschooled, watches a lot of screen time and she is 6 in October and reads already. While my son is still learning letter sounds. But she isn't very good with building or math and my son excels in it. Can't compare but so darn hard lol

    • @BrittanyLynnHomeschool
      @BrittanyLynnHomeschool  Год назад +4

      @@josie9583 that is a great example! Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. Definitely continue allowing him to excel in math. It will be wonderful for his confidence! As soon as I put too much pressure on my kids in an area they struggle, they don’t want to work on it anymore. But when the pressure is gone, they feel like they can learn freely. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
