I have been following for awhile now. I found this video soooo helpful! I was debating on doing a formal curriculum with my son because we didn’t with my daughter. We did a playful and gentle preschool learning too. But this seems really fun and exciting for a little boy. We love the the good and the beautiful kindergarten curriculum!
I used the preschool unit with my 4 now 5 year old. I loved finding stickers or tactile items to glue on each letter (a-apple stickers, b-color it blue, c-cat stickers, g-pick some grass and glue it… that was fun! etc) I started using Kinder now bc she flew through Preschool. I bought Abeka and wanted to like it but TGTB delivers more in Kinder in my humble opinion. I did Kinder and now 1st with my older son. We love explode the code too!
Have you ever done a video that shows a day/week in the life of play based learning? If so, which one? I have a 5 and 9 year old that just aren’t ready for standard curriculums. My 9 year old is special needs and learned best through play. I’m always looking for other ways to present information to them without being boring.
I’m a mom to six and have never purchased curriculum. My eldest three have already graduated. The good and the beautiful and the other peaceful curriculums have peaked my interest. I’d just use them as loose guides.
Please share the kindergarten soon! I've got a just turned 6 almost 5 & almost 3 + 6m old. I am starting K with the 6yo this year and have been eyeballing the good and the beautiful curriculum. 😍
