GREEN BEANS:
4 slices of bacon, chopped into bite-sized pieces
2 cans green beans, drained
1.5 - 2 cups chicken stock
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp brown sugar
salt and pepper to taste
Cook bacon in same pot you plan to cook green beans. After the bacon is done, do not drain the grease! Pour in green beans, chicken stock and seasonings. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to simmer for about 30 minutes (uncovered) until most of the liquid evaporates.

Beef, Bean and Cheese (and Doritos) Casserole
350 for 20-30 min or hot and bubbly. 8*8 casserole is optimal.
16 oz ground beef (or turkey). We prefer beef.
1 package taco seasoning of choice (or homemade) I also use salt, pepper and garlic salt on the meat.
1 15 oz can drained beans of choice. I use black beans
1 med onion diced
1 small diced jalapeño or some pickled canned jalapeño. (This is 100% optional if you love spice)
1 can Ro-tel
1 can refried beans
2 cups shredded cheese of choice (we use cheddar)
1 bag nacho cheese or spicy nacho Doritos.
Brown ground beef. Add canned beans drained and seasonings. Can also add ½ onion at this point, and optional jalapeño. I also drain the Ro-tel juice into the meat with the taco seasonings for extra flavor.
Place beef (and beans) in bottom of casserole and spread out.
Next take can of refried beans, remainder of onion and drained can of Ro-tel and mix together in a bowl. Spread over beef mixture.
Top with cheese of choice and bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes. Let sit 5 min to thicken.
Serve over crushed up Doritos or regular tortilla chips or use them on the side to scoop if desired.
Some of my blended family top this with sour cream (and sometimes lettuce and tomato also). We double this to feed our large family and have leftovers.
TACO SEASONING RECIPE: (I found this from @A Country Life )
1.5 cups chili powder
2 Tbsp ground cumin
1/4 cup kosher salt
1 Tbsp onion powder
2 Tbsp garlic powder

Not many women are appreciated for what they do for their family but they sure do give you your praises.God has given you a beautiful family. Happy holidays.
Just an fyi about the red juices from the steak. Those juices are not blood. It is myoglobin. Myoglobin is what gives the muscle its color, which with beef happens to be red. The longer myoglobin is cooked the darker/grayer it gets...And the muscle becomes dryer as well. But the actual blood was drained from the meat long before the steaks were cut.
I just wanted to get that knowledge out there, for everyone freaked out, thinking people are eating bloody meat.

Okay, so I’m only 22 and will soon be married in May to my high school sweet heart, but at 15:00 made me laugh so hard and think about my life in the future. My fiancé wants a girl so bad, but I want a boy. And right when your hubby was pulling apart the sandwiches and your son said “I don’t know why you’re taking your time”, it just made me giggle and smile so hard because that is a moment that I can envision living in the next 16 years. Love the meal ideas. We are going to try the chicken, bacon and ranch sliders next week!! 😋

These look so yummy! I decided to make those sliders for New Year's Eve. They look not only easy to eat, but also convenient for playing games and having fun. My married son and his wife are going to join us, and it will be easy to make up a couple of trays of these, plus fast so I can play too and not be in the kitchen cooking instead of hanging with the family.

I just ordered my groceries for the first time, my little one hasn’t been feeling well, teething really bad, and I had a big list don’t wanna get her out and I hate it when you forget something and don’t wanna go back for it, this way I was able to order everything I needed and they let me know if they had a item in stock or not, so I’m just really excited to have my groceries delivered to my door tomorrow!! I can get cooking on some more of your great recipes! And not gonna lie, I combine lots of videos and kinda do my own thing with whatever dish I wanna make, get some good ideas it’s been working so I’m just enjoying it, gonna continue through my new year for my family 😄
