I really appreciate your attention to detail. I was surprised to see you didn't even mention the new bumper! As you know, aftermarket servos using typical aftermarket servo mounts are not going to clear a stock/stock-ish bumper if you're running +10mm stretched front links. Your new design looks good and is worth noting to anyone planning a similar build. Additionally, if you're doing this with a different body (namely, the Deadbolt), it may require significant trimming to the front-end. In those cases, a different servo mount can solve the problem if you don't want to trim the body. Next up, shocks and high-clearance links!
My man litteraly walking through my build with you I just ordered gracket and servo in your links below I watched your buddy already i like you better due to doing mechanical upgrades and performance. You ever watch a season of your favorite show in a couple days we'll that's how I have been with you and the other guy lol thanks man much love from the scx24 world
Looking awesome Josh, yeah I just got done watching scale builders Guide, he has a awesome looking rig to. Really like his paint job looks pretty awesome. Well until next week.
The Bluetooth was only invisible for Matt do to well done creative accounting so it's not invisible for you Mr free 3d printing lol. All in good fun love the builds it's been a great series and looking forward to tonight's live. It would be cool if you could find some oil filled shocks for the last week.
One thing about the Furitek. It cannot be programmed without the Bluetooth module. That means you can't change the ESC from brushless to brushed mode without it
Id like to see if the shocks 'really' make a difference on these little guys. I feel like they are all pretty much full droop and it just comes down to travel?
The build is looking awesome man. I bet it's going to crawl up anything. Stayed away from being sneaky this week haha. Jokes aside. This series is great, and hilarious haha.
As a reptile fanatic as well as a Rc fanatic, I can tell you you that your first attempt at Tegu (Tay-goo), was correct… they were obviously following a reptile like line of ESC names, this was obvious when you chose the 2S “ Lizard” esc… Ita a large lizard, reptile, that is indigenous to South America in cliff regions, and held in high repute by the indigenous people… also loving the build tips of the Betty as I was able to get my hands on ONE unused model unlike your spoiled two Betty self…🤣
Are you gonna continue this after the build off with Matt or are you done after that cause I really like where this truck is going just not enough weeks for all the possibilities
I just seen a servo test video & the emax is a stronger servo than the eco power, he made the test video as he was disappointed with the eco power 827 compared to the emax
Normally if you owned a printer, do you count the cost of every single page of paper u print? Or just the ream. If you were modding your own scx I'd like to think you'd setup the chassis to suit the parts you were fitting and hopefully not be modding your mods.
Hey I think both the builds are really cool and can't wait to see what they look like in the end. I'm new to the RC world and have been really into the crawling lately. I was wondering why are all your brass parts up front? I have been trying to spread the weight evenly front to rear left to right. I'm just curious about why your doing it like you are and what are the benefits of a more front heavy vehicle?
I gave it a thumbs down because even though said a lot of information you didn’t show the actual build and replacements of the components. Good info though
Rewatching these builds
You could watch this episode, or just tune into week 5 over on the SBG.
POW!
*Smack*
Think 🤔 I smell flexing of the rules.
Are y'all giving these away? :)
I'm so intimidated by all the electronics with this hobby but you make it look so easy

I thought I mentioned the bumper.
@@HarleyDesignsInc I watched it twice. Must have missed it both times.
@@HarleyDesignsInc will the bumper ever be available? Looking to build a Betty and would love one!
Would defiantly like to see something with the shocks and possibly drive shafts.
Yeah racing shocks but you have to cut and stretch the springs. To get the correct performance. That's what I did.
It would be Great to see this truck on a little crawler course looks like it would perform Excellent Thanks to you and Matt for these builds
Great build Josh! Unfortunately, Matt is killing you on this one, lol 😆
that powerhobby servo is nice... good upgrades 💪🏾💯

U guys should do a tow rig build off :)

Good choices there! Can't wait to see the running vids.

Should have my Furitek Lizard combo by Saturday can’t wait! Wish I knew that about the EMax servo before I bought one..
This has been a bit more expensive that I thought but im going to get what is need SLOWLY LOL
Oil filled shocks!
Just got the eco power servo for mine. Love it.
Could you run the 640T on the stock ESC without brown out?
So impressed with how these builds are turning out.
This thing runs beautifully in the end I want everything you have as upgrades how do I get that chassis you should sell it as a kit
Id like to see if the shocks 'really' make a difference on these little guys. I feel like they are all pretty much full droop and it just comes down to travel?
Dig the KOH shirt! I was there last year!
Double barrel shocks would be a huge upgrade
Thanks for the footage!
I run the EMAX because I bought a bag of 4 for something like 19 bucks.
Shocks and links!!
Would love to see your shock choice and driveshafts
Did you change the front bumper? I liked that small stinger with fogs you designed.
Can you change the default settings without the Bluetooth module?
The build is looking awesome man.
I bet it's going to crawl up anything.
Stayed away from being sneaky this week haha.

I'm also wondering if you're going to do anything with the shocks... or if there might be an incision item with proper damping in the works?
Can you set the steering endpoints?
I love my pn racing brushed motor it crawls slow and also fast enough to pull the wheels I am running the fifty turn motor and a hw 1080
Roll on wednesday
What size of clear shrink tubing did you use on the ESC?
Still waiting for those carbon rails to show up on your store
Does the stock esc have to be changed out to run that motor/mount?
The tires are no longer available. Build is looking great!
LGRP is starting their own website. I suspect they will be selling everything directly.
He just sold out. There will be more
Are you gonna continue this after the build off with Matt or are you done after that cause I really like where this truck is going just not enough weeks for all the possibilities
Great vid!
can you guys please do this with the c10 24 cevy thats what i got and i just wanna upgrade that thing and there are only a few videos
I just seen a servo test video & the emax is a stronger servo than the eco power, he made the test video as he was disappointed with the eco power 827 compared to the emax
Great content guys :)
I can understand the Bluetooth module not counting. You may already have it for another car.
You should do shocks and trans gears
Can the lizard esc power the ecopower 640T servo?
I prefer my emax 1000x over the eco power servos. Faster and seems more power regardless what the specs say.
Paint that servo horn!
Corona ds-843mg is 4.6hg for 15$
Shocks. The axial shocks suck… I am curious what you think would be a better performance shock.
I tried the wd40 trick to soften the tires, but now they got bigger and they don’t seat in the beadlock, any ideas on how to fix that?…Hot water?
What is the weight of the “ invisible Bluetooth module”?!?!🥸
It’s insane to me this was 2 years ago
There's a firmware update that makes the lizard run 3s
It needs a flame thrower!!!!
Dang the emax went up when I bought them I only paid 7.50 each!
So you are not counting having to reprint the chassis brace then ??.
Normally if you owned a printer, do you count the cost of every single page of paper u print? Or just the ream.

Shocks

🤘
Have you done the 50k giveaway yet?
Stronger driveshafts.
Cool stuff, but i would not call that a budget build, its rather the extreme maxxed out everything thats possible and more build.
bugger it just throw them all on an send it lol
you budget math id wrong you got Furitek Lizard ESC w/bluetooth right.
so that esc is $64.99 not 49
As I said in the video, the Bluetooth was invisible so I used Matt’s $50 price 😉
@@HarleyDesignsInc that cheaping lol
I cant believe Matt has made 3 accounts just to unlike this video.
Emax servo on ebay 9 bucks free shipping lol u over paid
I didn’t buy it, I just looked up the price. The added power is worth the extra price for one of the other options though.
I gave it a thumbs down because even though said a lot of information you didn’t show the actual build and replacements of the components. Good info though
