Dude your skills in building these is mindblowing. The weighted design on your wheels ...pshh next level dude. I'd of never guessed the depth in which folks can go in the crawler scene. It's awesome, and I hope it helps to drive the parts production in a better direction. That roll over was heartbreaking 😄
Thanks for showing other builds and offering commentary on them. It's really helping me expand on the possibilities with my builds. I really hope you are enjoying the competition part of the 24 game as we know your opinion on the non comp side! I hope the content is doing well for you as I like seeing and value your opinion and ingunity in the micro world. The course gates looked killer!! Good job on navigating through them especially being first. These vids make it appearant I have still WAYS to go personally on my builds and driver mod! Thanks again.
Also I have to say this I love the treal portal axles it is literally their stock axle housing for the scx24 with their portal knuckle added on to it very killer design
The green cab only power wagon is a furitek fx118. If you want to see some impressive axles, check out the MEUS scx24 based axles. Over 50 degrees of steering angle
For a comp body, is the cliffhanger your go to body for the scx24 or what do you recommend? I have the c10 and want something low and with good clearance for no rub
I just got my MT12 this week. I have a few days on it. Nightmare at first. I have no air based experience. It has gotten a little better. Please share any mixing advice you might have to operate 4ws . Thanks
Great looking truck, hell of a build! These micros are a great way to keep my crawl-on during cold Canadian winters, lol ( otherwise, not my thing). Curious to know the width of those gates vs the width of most of the trucks? Thanks for the video👍
What driveshafts are you using on this build? I have been trying to pick out a set for a comp build and surprisingly I have had quite a few people saying they prefer the stock plastic ones over aftermarket sets
@@HarleyDesignsInc thank you. Now that you say that I think you mentioned that in this or your previous scx24 comp build video. Thanks. I’m going with c10 front links and deadbolt rear lengths as it seems a lot of people seem to be liking that wheelbase setup. Looking forward to more 1/24 content. I have been into 1/10 scale for years but just building my first 1/24 right now as parts come in
@@HarleyDesignsInc you’re absolutely right. I’m not sure what the weather is like in Sacramento but I know over here in Pennsylvania It’s not gonna be above freezing at all in the 10 day forecast. The ability to build a course indoors and have all your buddies come over and still get to enjoy crawling without freezing Your butt off is pretty nice haha
If you mean for proper Ackerman then yes, but with locked diffs and at this scale, it’s not much effect. I have mine set this way because I have more clearance issues on the inside tire, so this allows me to maximize steering angles where available.
How much of a spend-fest do these competitions tend to be? I have a few trucks that are moderately modified (mods less than the original value of the truck 😉) and I'm wondering if it's still fun if you don't have crazy rigs. Some of these builds are pretty serious, and seeing this I'm intimidated about going to the local comp, lol.
Every local scene is different, some may be more serious than others. But an excellent driver could still be very competitive without a ton of changes.
The last comp I was at guy walked up and bought an SCX24 C10 and some brass knuckles for some weight in the front but the rest was stock. Wound up placing 4th. The rest of us were suprised but were rooting for him cause he was doing so well. You don't need much to compete really.
Thanks, that's encouraging. Makes me think of cycling where people show up on fancy bikes but there's enough skill involved that it's not a complete indicator of performance, lol. Next competition is this Sunday so I might see what's up...
I've sort of thought this too but I've come to the conclusion as @harleyDesignsInc mentioned, he enjoys the comp angle here and never really liked the "play" side of the micro/mini world. Being that comps for these are much easier to orchestrate and can be held indoors out of the weather and with much less space needed, they make it ideal for those compers to "scratch the itch". This is how I got into the whole RC hobby myself. I loved customizing and building in the 1:1 world but alas my budget and life cought up with me. When a friend introduced me into hobby grade RC life and the customization options available, Game Over for me. I was hooked!
@@HarleyDesignsInc easy to do with those tiny cars that’s why I got out of them so unstable, I’m hoping scx6 comps open up near you so you start building them next
Michigan is calling you. Tony will pick you up @ the airport.
Keep the 24th scale content coming 👍🏽
Impressive build, I like the minimalistic approach, I could see vanquish selling this setup as a basic kit. C’mon man! Let’s do this!
Thanks for bringing us along on this one Josh. Good times. Appreciate a little different look at it this week.
5:15 that’s the Fx118 Fury Wagon from Furitek. It has CR18P based portal axles and transmission.
I always forget who they use for parts!
These mini trucks are really cool and I like that the courses are diy and require minimal space!
Kitty is awesome. I’m sure you are told that often. Nice job on tiny-tiny truck.

I'm actually in the Sac area too. I thought I recognized that name of the hobby shop. :)
Seeing Josh on 24s is like seeing peanut butter on jelly. Heaven❤
Love seeing the mini content on the channel, and the innovation in the small scale!

I’m glad you jumped into the mini scene. Love your build! Simply beautiful. Add JConcepts Ruptures tires for that type of terrain.
Keep the 1/24 content coming Josh!! Thanks!

might we be seeing a SCX24 comp chassis conversion from Vanquish at some point?
RES Concepts is legit, cool footage🔥🤙
You need to get vanquish or someone to make those rims an weight set-up. There awsome an I want some. Lol
Thanks again bro for shooting us the Limelight on the scx24 that's awesome have you checked out the Meus axles
Hopefully next week, I'll be trying out my first comp. They are running 3 different classes and I'm gonna try all 3
Love the branch out of video style.
I have this Eerie feeling that you jump back into the 24 hours because Vanquish is going to start releasing stuff for the 24th
I love this channel - keep doing what you're doing bro.
Josh, your rekindling my interests In 1/24. I have a handful of FMS but have not torn into them yet.
That's a lean mean bada$$ machine nice build
That looked like a fun course
I want to check those Wheels out
which elrs receiver did you de-case? the er3c-i? love seeing the Radiomaster feature!
Looks like a really fun corse for a small area 👍🏻
You need the little rubber hair ties to help with the rear end flopping around
You need some thicker oil in those shocks to control that flop!!
The green cab only power wagon is a furitek fx118. If you want to see some impressive axles, check out the MEUS scx24 based axles. Over 50 degrees of steering angle
I’ve seen those axles in hand, I don’t think I’d change for them.
@HarleyDesignsInc I've never ran other than stock for scx24. I gave a set on order after seeing a couple reviews. Can't wait to try out comps
I really like the comp running vids
And VP will release quality 1/24 parts this year?
Great Footage Bro! See ya next weekend :)
Love 24 content, thank you
Question. What is the gate width at the comps your been attending?
nice drive Josh considering your just getting into 1/24 scale. enjoyable, screw Matt lol.🤣🤣🤣
For a comp body, is the cliffhanger your go to body for the scx24 or what do you recommend? I have the c10 and want something low and with good clearance for no rub
Was the center of the little fountain made from a Queen chess piece? I love it.
How long before Vanquish puts out a mini? Injora is already making a baby Phoenix body, ya`ll getting left behind in a growing market.
Ngl I was kinda hoping it was just going to be your intro and an outro from the title 😂😂
I couldn't compete in a hobby shop, my a** would be like Doug from up..."oh look at that car, ooh look at that one." And my rig is on the floor. Haha
Your cat is 😍😍😍😍
Another banger of a comp build! But… you should have made it red!? 😂
Nice video. At 80k subs, do an ASMR rc build video.
I just got my MT12 this week. I have a few days on it. Nightmare at first. I have no air based experience. It has gotten a little better. Please share any mixing advice you might have to operate 4ws . Thanks
Yeah I wouldn't put that Evo Pro in on the scx24 competition

I believe this event was 7” width. Sometimes the events run 6”.
@@HarleyDesignsInc So, most trucks are 4 - 5" wide (or more)?
Mini stance, sick!
What are your link lengths?
Wish vanquish made a 1/24 scale rc or do they?? Sorry i dont 1/24 at all just 1/8 and 1/7 and 1/5 lol.
As a newbie, why that receiver?
Can u maybe make more videos on the vrd carbon?
I have some comp footage for that one too. Maybe I’ll get that out this week.
nice vid ty
What driveshafts are you using on this build? I have been trying to pick out a set for a comp build and surprisingly I have had quite a few people saying they prefer the stock plastic ones over aftermarket sets
I run the HR driveshafts, they use a M3 set screw instead of 1.6mm screw.

Shouldn’t the inside tire turn more than the outside?

Sweet build but this truck would be illegal in most classes here at comps on the east coast
For what reason? 63mm tires with a 1.0 tire bead. It fits the current national rule set as it reads.
It's completely fine in class 3. It would need longer chassis rails for class 2 and right size tires.
What wheelbase have this little sexy thing?
Any plans on selling it?
🤘🍻🤘

Hey man nice build but I’m with Matt 👎 on 24th stuff. Still awesome job!!
1/24 just looks claustrophobic
Just weird coming from the man who said he would never play with these dumb cars you seem to love them now 😂
They baited me with all these comps!
