Don't worry, Matt. You can make up points in the swimsuit competition. Failing that, you have Miss Congeniality on lock. Oh, wait. What are we talking about?
the thing i love most about these tiny 1/24th scale cars is the cost. parts are so cheap, relatively speaking in the RC world, that if i ever feel the need to i would have very little hesitation performing these mods.
Really appreciate this series. Realizing this is a bit of an old series, as a complete noob, it be nice to see the complete mod's including all the steps trimming, remounting, soldering, etc. Maybe the edited version for those with experience and the long detailed version for us that have never worked on one before. I realize it's more work, but would be great for those of us watching from the cheap, nose bleed seats. :D Thanks!
Dude no poking at you. I love your style and slight omitions of the truth or fact . . Love your style. No harm intended. I love the underhanded mods. I do it WITH MY MATES TO
A complete custom chassis would be nice to see! Especially since everything is lower now you could possibly drop everything even further, it could definitely be interesting!
I have 3 trucks myself. My gf has 2, and her son has one. I'm new to these trucks and crawling, but I've been into hobby grade RCs since I got my Monster Beetle in 1986. I really enjoy your videos for this build off. It's frustrating how much bogus and uninformed nonsense is floating around with these rigs. That's a long way to say I'd love to see your custom chassis ideas
i friend had gotten me a betty for Christmas and this week I got my brother a deadbolt for his birthday hoping in a few weeks the 3 of us can go down this path and challenge each other to make or upgrade things on it. you and mat should end the build off with build small 6 inches by 6-inch fake rock displays.
I just did the conversion to long link and found that there wasn't enough pivot balls so I found that antenna tubes fit perfectly in the eyes of the links. And switched plug to xt30 since I had a box of lipos in that thinner style for my fpv tinywhoop. They work great though
Doing it right! Cheating aside (lol), you already have Matt beat on this one. With the stick pack, wouldn't the CG be lower and weight bias more ideal with the battery laying across the rails just in front of the motor/trans? May be true with the stock battery as well. With regards to the custom chassis, ABSOLUTELY! I'd love to see your take on a SCX24 chassis. Keep up the good work.
Keeping it in the rear was the lowest option. Another hurdle was that if I moved the RX to the rear meant I needed a servo extension. Either way, I think this is as low as I can get it with this chassis.
New chassis all the way. Good idea to include 3d printed prices because we don’t all have one. I predict your going to have to do another "free" battery tray if you go with the brushless motor. Great series enjoying it.
The more I modify a vehicle the more frustrated I get that it was running better stock and was cleaner looking.. Most of the time the original version has been designed that way for a very good reason!! 😉 👍
I’ve seen that a million times as well, but it usually comes down to parts selection or even execution. Tuning is always something to consider, as just bolting parts on won’t always make a difference/improvement.
I would love to see something like that. I like these channels more to see what people are building and I really enjoyed STL Sundays when it was R/C related and think it would be more popular if you did those kinds of live feeds when you was designing and printing something R/C related
Every gram taken off helps, especially for a rig this size. Very helpful. Please do the making of a chassis. I do have 2 of the L-trail 1/18. How about a TGH 24X chassis? They do have 2 different ones for about $20.
I think seeing a custom chassis would be interesting?! Ive been thinking about a thicker steel rails but not sure how that would perform, all the shocks I've seen seem hard to dial in for weight? nice job this week. Ive been gathering parts for my "c-24" build I will be starting on IG
East bound and down, loaded up and truckin' A-we gonna do what they say can't be done We've got a long way to go, and a short time to get there I'm east bound, just watch ol' "Bandit" run New theme song...no need to thank me
Definitely interested in the chassis build!! I recently acquired a small 3d printer in a trade, so sort of free! These days everyone should know someone that has a 3d printer, so I think it fits the build off. Also interested in the hand built part? One could make nearly anything with a drill and some files
Awesome vid! I am not very good with electronics stuff, but this is all pretty straightforward. I am considering the Furitek Teko combo for my Deadbolt, but would kinda like to keep the stock Tx. So this would be useful. Thanks for sharing this one.
For the battery leads I just made an extension cord lol rather solder a few jst ph 2.0 connectors than rip apart the esc just to essentially make them extension cords
I would love to see the building a frame I have 2 of the scx24 and want to do something with my c10 I have already changed it to a grave digger but now I would like to incorporate some of your build ideas and make it into something crazy.love the show man always entertained
Heey whats up Burt 😁 .. 1:24 isn me, it gets to small and still to much lexan. 1:10 is kind of the rigth scale and still scale we old guys eyes can see 😉 nice video and mustages 🤙
I need a soldering gun and video equipment! LOL no really Im amazed at the depth this hobby has it amazes me there is so much in rc............Im just into bashers and crawlers and maybe like the arma felony type street cars but i can tell I can learn so much just in tenth scale electric crawling......I love it.....Thankyou.....yes I want to know how to build a c channel frame and flatrail! F-it lets do some carbon fiber and fiberglass work as well...
great video thanks for sharing. couldn't help spying the parts tray you use ...:) is that a thingiverse print? if so have you got a link for it? many thanks
Can't help it, you look a bit like Magnum. With that said ,back to your vid.Like the series a lot and the more i see it, i will buy a SCX 24 than a SBX 10 Ryft.
I'm not sure we're even participating in the same build-off anymore.
Agreed
Quit your whining dude!!!!! Grow a stash and you to can bend the rules!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Don't worry, Matt. You can make up points in the swimsuit competition. Failing that, you have Miss Congeniality on lock. Oh, wait. What are we talking about?
Don’t worry, he’s just auditioning that battery!
Josh is going comp and your going scale, so yeah.
You can also use a needle and heat it up with a lighter to make some holes for these tiny screws if you don’t have a hand drill
I'm all for a custom chassis and 3d printed parts..this is a great series. Keep it up 👍
Furi Tek!!! You need to Do it!!

Ya look like Ron Jeremy! And custom chassis sounds great 🔥🔥

2FM RC has some great videos on those.
@@gfyracing7632 thanks! I will check it out!
Would love to see that video on making our own chassis rails!
Very nice series you and Matt are doing! Love the SCX24’s!
YES!!! I'd really like to see a custom chassis vid. I might try that for a tenth scale rig. Great vid man.👍🤙

If I had half the confidence in my soldering skills as you seem to have in them I would be a master solder'er
Josh is looking like a little league coach with that stash

With that moustache you should be doing a fire truck build. Lol 😂. Thanks for the videos I enjoy them.
Laying the groundwork the recalculate the math on total budget expense..... Matt is gonna love that
SCX24 Budget Build guest starring Luigi. lol Thanks for the ideas for my Betty
That hand drill is called a pin vise. They are inexpensive with a multitude of choices. Y'all have a badass day 🤘
that's some real craftsmanship there on that ESC. Pretty sweet. Well done.

Definitely do the new chassis, my 3D printer is waiting
Right on & hell yeah, hook it up on the rails brotha!!
Josh out here looking like a tee ball coach these days!

Love your hat Josh, just got mine I love it, love this budget build as always appreciate you sharing
Where did you order that hat from ?
i respect your honesty, mustache man
tried the printed battery tray, it contact my driveshaft yoke. Great design and idea.
Hell yes the chassis would be a cool addition.
I would love to see something like that. I like these channels more to see what people are building and I really enjoyed STL Sundays when it was R/C related and think it would be more popular if you did those kinds of live feeds when you was designing and printing something R/C related
Definitely want to see the DIY chassis!!!!
The chasis mod sounds cool.. let go that route
DOING A GREAT JOB FREDDIE
I would be interested in seeing the custom chassis with 3D printed parts. I bought a 3D printer so I could make “free” parts.
Nice build week! Looking forward to the new chassis.

That hand drill is actually called a pin vise. They are all over Amazon if anyone wants one.
Indeed. Beware the super cheap ones. They are terrible. Ask me how I know.
@@derrickwilliams2903 I'm sure you learned the same way that I learned that cheap tools aren't worth the cost savings.

I liked seeing the electronics stuff and soldering tips!
Most definitely do a custom chassis video!!
Another awesome build video!
I would love to learn about the DIY chassis rails!
Oh crap I saw nothing of your upgrades I was to buisy chatting and giggling at the Velcro strap on your lip. Love your show Tom

Yes I would like new chassis rails for my scx24. LCG chassis would be awesome and I have a 3D printer.
Hey from Globe Arizona , truck looks good 👍
Holy smoke those are huge tyres!!!!
Omg... There's the stash again. 😆
Ready to keep diving.
I would really like to see the homemade chassis segment of this you should definitely do it
For the battery leads I just made an extension cord lol
rather solder a few jst ph 2.0 connectors than rip apart the esc just to essentially make them extension cords

i say if you include 3d printed parts then include the shapeways cost and im not sure about the diy chassis unless it was using styrene
Now the brushless system 😊
It’s like a Battle of two villains. Think spy v spy.
I did a similar decasing and soldering on my hummer h1 build
Definitely interested in rigid chassis rails. Shapeways is my friend.
Heey whats up Burt 😁 .. 1:24 isn me, it gets to small and still to much lexan. 1:10 is kind of the rigth scale and still scale we old guys eyes can see 😉 nice video and mustages 🤙

Chassis rails - yeah!!!
The non flat rail chassis guy. About to make a flat rail chassis for a mini. 2 things Josh despises
Yes on the chassis
Yes to any custom chassis’s! I prefer things that aren’t just able to be purchased. Use some more creativity and skills 🤓
Been waiting for this weeks episode anxiously
I would love to see a diy custom chassis
Sure, I'm always interested in custom frame works.
YES!!!! New chassis rails please!!
Was that .000001 of a milligram. You added more solder than that added up to. Boy I thought I was ocd. Love your show.
That "special" tool is called a pin vise. They have them for cheap on Amazon.
Should I keep upgrading my slash vxl or buy a hoss I still haven't upgraded the axle carriers, shock towers, steering blocks etc
Let’s see that custom chassis.
Awesome you are . Like yoda would say
great video thanks for sharing. couldn't help spying the parts tray you use ...:) is that a thingiverse print? if so have you got a link for it? many thanks
Interested in the chassis idea
"Free, for the most part" 😆
Every time he say's, "BUT," take a drink 🥃 😂 😉 ✌️ 😅
I'm sure you've answered this question before, but what mat are you using in these videos? Seems to be a good size for mobility sake. Thanks!
theres a hand drill that size in the orlando f150 kit
I like idea chassis 👍🏼
Ahhh Higgins!
That’s the batter I run, it great
Lookin like a thin Ron Jeremy
HYPNOTIZED 😵💫 by the mustache…..
🥸
very nice , thank you
Well..... cheaty cheaterton hahahahahahaha.
Very cool man.
It's going to be great to see it run.
What about free chassis files that are online? Would it still be considered a free mod? 3d printed chassis are a lot lighter.
Which 3D printer do you recommend?
Chassis, chassis, chassis
Giving me ideas 👍🏾💯
Can't help it, you look a bit like Magnum. With that said ,back to your vid.Like the series a lot and the more i see it, i will buy a SCX 24 than a SBX 10 Ryft.
Cool
I am interested in the 3d printed chassis!
Aye, it’s Mario’s brother Luigi
I would be interested in seeing the custom chassis with 3D printed parts. I bought a 3D printer so I could make “free” parts too.
Do the chassis!!!!😤😤😤
The mustache keeps staring at me 😳 it's distracting 😵😂🤣
Josh looks like Luigi from Mario Bros.
