Based on the fact that Sol beat Qimir twice we can assume that Sol was the better fighter. He just kept getting stopped from killing him lol
only because Sol can read his moves without the helmet.
I really like the detail that when sol is fighting alone he’s better because he’s not afraid of his friends getting hurt. Reminds me of when kanan prevailed over the grand inquisitor when he thought Ezra was dead as he “has nothing left to fear”

It appears we may have underestimated Star Wars to a small point. Don’t get me wrong this acolyte hasn’t been as great as the other models but it has proven to be rather interesting one that actually might work for us.

That whole sequence was badass. He headbutts him, throws him down, kicks him across the floor, then does the saber-pull walk as he gets ready to decapitate him.

Sol really stood his own very well.
No surprise that Jecki was that good as fighter
She stopped him from killing the bad guy?? God i hate that cliche move. Letting him live to continue to kill innocent people is just as bad as being the murderer yourself.
Yes, it was lame writing. A better way to have written the scene would be to have Qimir use his strong Force push ability which he literally showed he can do just 1 episode before to hold off Sol's saber strike and push him away, then he Force grabs his own saber and they do a stand still to have that "darkness/rules, rules, rules" dialogue, then Qimir simply captures Osha, ditch the bugs thing. But the writers wanted a Sol facing his own darkness moment. It was heavy-handed.
After watching this show I hear Sol yelling "Osha" more than I heard Finn yelling Rey.
Sol is a decent fighter but his fellow jedi literally get slaughtered like cutting grass, i mean cmon its obvious Qimir's priority is to snatch Mae instead of focusing on the fight, its even more humiliating than it already is lol

I like to think Sol was intentionally primarily disabled the most from Qimir’s force push. Strategic to play his best odds. Qimir eventually got every hand Sol had to offer but he couldn’t save his pupils properly with the odds against him.😞

Master Sol is one of the best combatants we have seen in live action. He beat the stranger with no lightsaber and should have ended him but he chickened out

Not sure if this is just me, but the lightsaber fighting in this clip is actually good.
Definitely not as good as the prequels/originals, but its way better than the sequels.

@@king_mega1670 I like Sol because he displays the most significant emotional fluctuations. He is righteous and warm-hearted, yet also capable of fierce anger. He also shows feelings of guilt and sadness. I want to applaud Lee Jung-jae for his excellent portrayal of such a deeply layered character.

Before this episode, i thought Qimir wasnt the master. The hints were almost too obvious, but now I have a theory that The master reveal was just a large red hearing, to make us not think of something about Qimir rhat Will be a HUGE Plottwist later

The way he just iced her and then disrespected her by saying "was that it's name." That's some real Sith shit. They don't just want to win, they want to bring you down to their level before they kill you. Make you see that the difference between you and them isn't some vast cavern, but rather a small degree of separation

Form depended on the characteristics of the practitioner. It’s nonsense to say that they were taught the wrong form based on having lost a fight. An aggressive person should be taught form IV, Sol made the right decision because it best suited her characteristics - and for the most part best suited this confrontation. She just lost.
Form III was meant to be for against blasters, not lightsabers . It has a warped reputation because Obi-Wan is associated with it, and he was *the* master of the form.
A form reliant on “outlasting the opponent” isn’t inherently the best, and dying because you were bested in swordsmanship doesn’t mean you practiced the wrong form. An opponent with two blades, switching one on and off to stab like a dagger, would probably have merked Obi-Wan too. Defensive form can’t account for undefendable strikes.
don't know why so many say it's a bad show, they're setting up the story in a way that makes it clear why a hundred years later the jedi where blinded by their arrogance / pretended absolute righteousness/ and failed to see the sith hiding right under their noses.

i think this age of the jedi, shows how the jedi actually spoiled over the years when they had no one to fight against. They became too focused on politics, and only through failure did they get a deeper connection to the force as seen from Tobens meditative state

Qimir really went full on fatality and overkill... cant blame him, he has seen ahsoka and kenobi he know 1 stab wont do, 2 just doubles the possibility of death, 3 just to be sure.

Darth Tenebrous and Darth Plaguies should be alive and active at this timeline, In fact, I half expected the Sith Lord in this show to be Darth Vectivus even though Vectivus didn't have any ambition and probably wasn't even alive at this point in time, it probably would have been very cool if they introduced his force ghost in this series, but it's a shame that they broke canon in star wars by not showing Darth Plaguies and Darth Tenebrous

When Jecki and Yord died the show went downhill.
What I love about this, is it shows even without lightsabers Sith and Jedi are a force to be reckoned with.
Remember Sol simply stood and watched as Jecki and Yord fought one on one. Didn’t try to help them.
I like the dark Sol theories. He’s definitely hiding a darkness.
But if I may. He didn’t just stand there exactly. After his saber was temporarily extinguished, he threw Qimir off the cliff edge as such. Jekki immediately followed up herself alone in quick combat. Force alone, It’s difficult to prevent every moment. Yord’s death can be broken down a little more too. He was in heavy yield mode at the time when Qimir had Mae at saberpoint. Jedi hold their honor like samurai and the finality of death is quick! Especially in that form..

People need to stop judging this so harshly. The fans who are doing it say they are saying what George Lucas would say . Even he wouldn't be this judging or vindictive about the Acolyte.
The proble is the writing is poor for an interesting idea, and then theirs the problem that this show directly contradicts George Lucas' own films and there's the continuity discrepancy with Ki Adi Mundi and a sith appearance before Phantom Menace. To fix the sith issue, everyone here needs to die. And the Sith lord survives to continue on the Rule of 2.
Ki Adi Mundi, is something that cant be fixed, because it requires the man to seemingly forget everything from this particular investigation that saw about a dozen Jedi killed by an assassin, and (if anyone survives) a red lightsaber wielding force sensitive master. Otherwise he would never say there hasn't been a Sith sighting in 1000yrs in Ep. 1, because it would be easy for him to connect the two events and come to conclude the Sith have been active for some time.
Not every force using swordsmen has to be jedi or sith
