I, for one, am enjoying this show, despite its flaws. Personally, I'm expecting Qimir to be an apprentice that is seeking his own apprentice to help overthrow his master. After all, it wouldn't be the first time a Sith Apprentice in the Rule of Two Era failed.
If he dies, I can see certain Jedi covering it up so that it makes it look like he was a Sith-wannabe.
Furthermore, he's likely going to explain the Rule of Two to someone before his demise, and that information will find its way to Yoda, who'll go on to reiterate such in The Phantom Menace, explaining why he knew about the Rule of Two in TPM.
What I'd LOVE to see is if he is actually the current apprentice to Plaguies, and following Qimir's death, he bides his time in finding a replacement in the form of Palpatine. Muun's have longer lifespans after all, and if Plagueis remains a Muun in canon, this theory holds water. If we're so fortunate, we'll get teased for a live-action Plagueis

    • @BeybladeGenius101
      @BeybladeGenius101 3 месяца назад +1

@jackwitt7430 possibly, though with his potentially longer life span, and lack of established continuity and previous Rule of Two Sith due to the sacking of Legends, it leaves the door open for just about anything

The Way Qimir fights kinda reminds me of Ventress.
Like Qimir, Ventress is implied to not be following any specific technique and is mostly just cutting loss. They both compensate for their unrefined forms with the use of their strength in the darkside and their wits.
On the topic of Ventress, this fight scene also reminds me of Ventress's duel with Luminara.
Where Luminara gets bested by Ventress due to her unconventional approach towards fighting. The Sith assassin slashed pipe releasing hot steam inorder to blind Luminara before cutting multiple pipes to trap her under. Luminara even notes that Ventress was unlike any other opponent she faced implying she's not use to fighting someone who's constantly fighting dirty.
In both these duels the Jedi get their asses handed to them because they're not use to fighting someone who doesn't fight by their terms which causes them to be caught off gaurd.

This guy is like the opposite of the last new dark side user we saw in the live actions shows; Baylan Skoll. Qimir is ruthless. Cunning. Merciless... What seems like a haphazard and unpredictable marauder is actually a calculating and patient warrior who has studied, trained and prepared to kill Jedi, even when the odds are stacked against him. He does indeed seem like a "high risk, high reward" sort of individual, which is somewhat sensible for a Sith and yet no, I do not believe Qmir is a Sith Master. I think he is the Apprentice... or perhaps he may even be a renegade Sith, either denounced or dismissed from the role of the apprentice, and so he seeks his own apprentice in order to usurp the Master and truly claim the title of Sith for himself
Qimir said a Jedi would call him a Sith. There's a subtle bit of gray area in those words... that a Jedi would _call him_ a Sith, as tho to imply he is not _truly_ a Sith. Qimir did not directly say something along the lines of "I _am_ Sith"
This could indicate Qimir was the Apprentice for a time but he fell short of his Master's high bar and so was denounced as a failure. His machinations thus far, along with his deceptions and manipulations, indicate he was indeed trained by a powerful and experienced practitioner of the Dark Side at the very least. He's too well trained and knowledgeable to simply be dismissed as a dark Jedi
While there are other Dark Side users and affiliations in the galaxy apart from the Sith, Qimir's methods and skills are much too keen and dangerous to be taken lightly, as he proved himself a dangerously skilled and merciless killer of Jedi. Even the way he murdered poor Jecki was ruthless and left me shocked in the brutal way he slew her with three sudden stabs through the chest with a hidden saber while he had her blade-locked
Regardless, I feel there's more going on here and that Qimir unnecessary risks, along with his youth, are too much indication that he is not a Sith Master, that he is either the Apprentice or even a failed apprentice

My personal theory, is that he is a sith adept. Still an apprentice to a master, with may as his acolyte puppet to administer his will and be disposed of once she stops being useful. He appears to be that of a shadow assassin, an incredibly dangerous one at that whom may have also been trained as a marauder so that he may be used as the will of his master, able to take on entire teams of jedi at once. He does however, act as though he is very much still an apprentice even with formidable power and experience with a blade.
He admits to being a sith, something that categorically should not happen in the rule of two and outright ignores the rule of quiet action. This also is somewhat more of an apprentice action, rather than a soth lord. I believe the final reveal of the series is going to be a cliffhange for a series about this sith and his journey to becoming a lord, on par with that of a sith master before he becomes the dark lord in his own series and even perhaps his selection of apprentice. It would show us each stage, while creating a mini saga within the high republic era

I love Juyo so much, I'm glad at least the choreography in this fight was pulled off really well, regardless of the quality of the rest of the series.
You can just really see him doing moves the Jedi don't expect.
Juyo just feels like fighting a Dark Souls boss that might not be as hard as others, but seems so erratic and unpredictable that the first few tries feel way more hopeless than on a harder but more telegraphed boss.
Only in this case the Jedi only have their first try 😅

Now, I want to see vader unleashed, on some planet, mowing down some poor Jedi who was lucky enough to survive Order 66. Maybe he catches up with Quinlon Vos and Ventress near The Path while they're ferrying a few Jedi to safety. There's so much potential. They can stay in the past and just do whole series dealing with Darksiders unless the RT score dissuades Lucasfilm from doing a project desling withthe past or the darkside for a while. It's a shame. The Stranger went into this, knowing Mae was weak and backing out. He wanted to see this through for a reason, even if he was on his own. His training is reflective of what his Master paced him on; it'd would've been rough and challenging judging his efficient moves of the blade, conservation of energy and switching up styles and techniques quickly. I believe he was trained as a child not an adult to develop the experience and hone his Force mind-skills.
Did the Master want the Sith to revealed like this, by a too eager and ambitious apprentice? After a millennia of lurking, planning and plotting? A game of patience? What's the penalty for alerting the Jedi before the time was right?

Not a sith of the Bane line, I think. More likely someone who discovered an ancient sith holocron and learned from it. Granted, he seems too well trained, so I may be wrong, but it's the only way that his willingness to reveal himself makes any sense, as well as the way he put it, what was it, "you would call me a sith?" That implies that he's not an official apprentice of the sith lineage, just someone who learned their ways some other way (leaving a holocron as the most likely option).

I always saw the "Rule of Two" as less of an absolute and more of a "suggested guideline" for members to keep in mind. For the sake of getting my point or rather said, my perspective across, lets imagine Disney never stripped down the lore and what majority of us would consider cannon will be treated as such.
Yes, the "Rule of Two" came into being under Darth Bane after the Sith Empire was culled in part due to rampant in-fighting, as well as Bane's desire and ambition to hold to sole position of power. So, both by his hand and subterfuge, Bane all but wiped out the entire Sith Empire, then instilling what we know as the "Rule of Two" so the Sith though small in numbers can use that to their advantage by disappearing in plain sight among the people. There is only supposed to be those two, Master and Apprentice, although most very devoted fans I am sure are at least aware that in many expanded works Sith have betrayed each other with either the Apprentice taking on one of their own, or Master's with multiple secret Apprentices.
Yes the Sith never got even close to the size of the Sith Empire, but it always felt to me like a handful of Sith were out there cuz a couple Masters or Apprentices likely always up to some shady sh*t and pulling stunt moves out there somewhere. That is why in my head it seemed likely a few Sith were always out and about, even if they remained unknown, until they aren't.....

He specifically says, "I don't make the rules," in one of the scenes. Right off the bat I said this guy is an apprentice seeking to overthrow his master. His master is either Plagueis or Tenebrous, but Lesly will likely change cannon by making Tenebrous into a female human. That would mean that Carrie Anne Moss' character, Indara, is the the real Sith Lord. Why cast such a powerful celebrity for so little screen time? She's definitely not dead, and set up the whole plot. Why else would the Jedi hunt down the witches and invade their fortress to take kids that clearly had major attatchment issues? Indara's whole mission was shrouded in the Dark Side, so I really believe Indara is the Sith Lord. I think Master Sol feels guilty because perhaps Indara made him kill the witches, and he regrets his actions because he's the closest character to Qui Gon Jinn in personality we've seen in the series. A lot in my comment, but it's just my opinion, may the Force be with you!

What do you think of the theory that Smileo Ren is just the apprentice & the very aggressive with mom is the actual Master? Cuz they never really named whatever civilization or like Force affiliated group they were all outcasts from. And the Dark Side is usually where one would find most of the witchcraft kinda stuff. What if they’re just like “Sith light” especially since they went out of their way to mention that her mom could get into Jedi’s minds’ also when OSHA & Yord were pow wowing about it during their escape. Also she again, was super aggressive & the only one to actually attack the Jedi, despite all the other Sisters’ being at the ready to. I wish it was a thing of Carrie Anne Moss was just Force projecting herself & made May believe she murdered her & she’s actually still alive cuz I think her fighting style would be best suited against at least the Sith apprentice for sure.plus, you can’t just waste Trinity like that! She’s like….Mrs. The Chosen One, dude. 😎

Uhhhhm, the "Rule of Two" is not half as strict as many people seem to believe. And we know that at least since Clone Wars, but it has since then re-affirmed that the Sith train and maintain a network of force-users.
Both as potential Acolytes but primarily as assassins and enforcers. The Term "Sith" does not any longer refer to any Dark Side force user trained by a Sith, but is a title taken and given.
The rule of two only states that there are only two who are worthy of calling themselves Sith. The Master and the Apprentice. The Apprentice of the Master is a Sith, the title given to them by their Master. The Apprentice continously tries to take the title of Sith-Master from their Master. A constant struggle for power between both.
But here's the thing. This rule doesn't forbid either from training additional acolytes. Those would just not be Sith by title. They though would be what a Jedi would call a Sith.
Qimir could very well be something like an abandoned Sith acolyte. Like Maul was, when his place as apprentice of Sidious was taken by Dooku and he became an outcast. Maul wasn't a Sith anymore. Even though he still followed their teachings, in technicality he wasn't one.

I think what he is doing is risky, but still falls into the mentality of the rule of 2 era sith. He even says, "according to the jedi i cant exist, so i have to kill anyone who sees my face". agression and killing is still very much a part of the sith doctrine, so it makes sense they were still fighting and killing in the 1000 years after bane, maybe even fighting and killing jedi, but they covered their tracks well. i think qimir and his master might be aware that the jedi will try to cover this account up, and are taking a more open approach in order to sow fear in their opponent and ultimately cause the republic to put the restrictions on the jedi we see in the prequels. actually think this was, while yes ery risky, a very calculated move by both him and his master. he just uses it as an opportunity to also keep scouting for his acolyte to overthrow his master, and i think osha impressed him

I see another pattern within Qimir: His Cortosis armor is strong against lightsabers, but weak against physical force. Then he teaches Mae, his acolyte/apprentice, to fight without a weapon. I feel like he wants to prepare her for the classic Rule of Two development of her eventually turning against him. Telling her how whe would be able to defeat him without explicitely telling her that it is his weakness.

If he is in the rule of two, they might be trying to show why his sith master wants to rid himself of the stranger. By allowing the troubled apprentice to be caught and hunted down by the jedi, to then frame him as a false sith, so the jedi will truly believe that the order is dead. those who practice the ways of the sith are powerful but ultimately fail when the jedi find them. If this leads into Darth Palgius showing his new apprentice, Sideous, what happens when one exposes the sith before their plans are ready. This would fix some of the issues while making way for a cool scene with the sith lord we have heard so much about.

Most Jedi are basically scholars, especially in this era. The majority are not trained to fight a proper sith whereas the Sith are far fewer and train almost exclusively for combatting Jedi. There are certainly Jedi who exist that can take a Sith 1v1(Sol, Yoda, Mace, Obi, etc.) but the vast majority aren't so skilled. More than that, they walked into this expecting to apprehend a little girl, not face a full sith. Had they known what they were going into, they may have been more prepared or taken more combat ready Jedi with them ie Vernestra or maybe even Ki Adi.

If this show were more about the Sith, we'd see basically everyone die and a proper expansion on what Qimir is actually doing. But Sol steals the show routinely, so they can't kill him off yet.

Im still curious to see if he is claiming thectitle of sith or if it was given. Because in the rule of 2 wra the only true sith are the master and who they deem their apprentice. It's not unheard of for dark side users to claim the title of sith mainly out of hubris, which he clearly has lots of.

I believe he is the acolyte and is seeking a apprentice himself so he can take out the current master. He will fail n the master will go on to find a new apprentice. It can leave it open to a Palpatine mini series or they can save that for a season 2 if it's ever green lit to pay way to Palpatine being discovered by plaguis
