Having only recently discovered your RUclips channel after loving the Instagram content, I’m absolutely gutted with this injury. I hope you get the results you want……… please continue with the Instagram hilarity……… it gets this leaning heel striker out the door on rainy days!
Hi Gary, I'm commenting from my gf's account. I'm having the same issue as you have but without the fragmented disc. I know how it feels not being able to train, I was a bodybuilder not long ago. I herniated my disc right before Christmas, I was sick with pneumonia and it happened during a coughing fit, can you imagine that? My glute, hamstring, calf and foot went numb, could not move my leg 2 days straight. Back pain went away fast but it took 2 months for me to start to feel something with my foot. I still can't do a single a single calf raise and lost 2 inches in circumference. Hope you are doing better than me, health care system is garbage here in Romania. I wish you a speedy recovery
Yeah that’s how lots of herniations happen… that or brushing teeth in that awkward position. I started out working in a body builder gym and they would always tell everyone it was moving plates etc then secretly tell me 😂. Yeah the chunk that came off severed my nerve so very weak leg and no calf raises yet but slowly improving thanks - good luck 🤞🏻
Hi Gary I’m just wondering if the surgeon had anything positive to say to you ? and if you went for that swimming training you mentioned in your video? Hope you are keeping the spirit high mate🥳🌻☀️
He actually went on holiday after MRI and I haven’t heard from him since 😂🤦🏻♂️ - maybe a blessing though because in the last two weeks there has been improvement in leg function without surgery. I did a bit of swim stuff but I live 40 mins away from a pool so mainly kept to strength / mobility rehab and now on the bike too. Just updated on here 👍🏼 thanks 🙏🏻
You have my sympathies as I lie here in a similar position.
🤞🤞🤞that recovery continues.
All the best with your appointment next week, keeping things crossed for your continued improvements & full health 🤞🏽
Thanks for this video, exercises were really helpful! Happy to see your progress and hope it continues.
Thanks for sharing man, really hope you get good news soon.
