When you’re describing what nerve damage is like…I now get it because for around two months I’ve got a pinched nerve in my shoulder. Not comparable to yours but if I somehow trigger it in getting a huge whammy of flash pain, it doesn’t just hurt I also feel very weak, my arm seems weak and can’t move as much.
It’s frustrating for me at moment but at least I can run though. Great to see your progress. Can’t imagine how frustrating it is for you being limited.

Great to see that you are doing better. I'm also a little better myself, can walk on my heels better but still can't do it on my toes although I can maintain my weight a little bit if I do a negative rep. I went to a consultation with a local surgeon yesterday and he was adamant with surgery but I'm still not sold on it, I want to save my back as I'm into bodybuilding. My fitness went to crap for the past few months but I started walking more as the weather has gotten better, now I look like I don't lift even though I can bench 225lbs with ease for 8reps. I hope we recover both, I'll be watching your progress. Cheers mate.

18 months on my trapped nerve ( in my back) anterolisthesis is still there, my leg from knee to ankle is still numb, not painful, just irritating!
This time last year I could very slow walk/ jog 1to2 miles, no strength in my leg ! Cycling I couldn’t cycle over the motorway bridge without bottom gear, I certainly couldn’t stand on the pedals. Hospital just dismissed me saying it would get better in a year or stuck with it forever ( I am 73)
I went to sports massage, which helped a little, the went Bowen therapy and acupuncture which definitely helped build up my strength. By last summer I still struggled on hills on my bike, I could run slowly for 5 km. I built up my strength cycling over the summer and could cycle 80 miles no trouble unless there were big hills 😂 I could cycle slowly up Cheddar gorge, ( we live near there)
I entered the Grizzly in March this year, ( 20 mikes 3000ft on the coast) trained from November building up to 16 miles walk/ jog/ run 2000 ft over the Quantock hills, leg still numb! No pain, just irritating.
On the day of the race I decided not to trust my leg, I was worried it might be too much for it, river crossings, shingle beaches etc, so transferred to the Cub run which was only 9 miles and 1200 ft ! I really enjoyed it, glad I transferred as it was a very tough day in the mud.
I am getting there, hoping to get back to cycling again when the weather improves as this seems better for my leg, a few Audax rides 100 k hopefully, running through the winter has helped, I get back ache, road running, I found using poles and Nordic walking helped a lot on the off road hills. So! I am left with it!! I can’t decide whether to go back and ask for more help if there is any!! But not sure any operation might make it worse/ more risk and anyway by the time they got to me I would be in my 80 s😂😂😂
Keep on working, great to watch your progress as I feel similar to mine ( but worse) ! Best of luck with it all! Sorry for the long post, it’s helpful to write it down to see my progress !

I'm sorry you're going through this, and so glad you're improving! I have degenerative Disc disease, which comes with occasional long term pain/ numbness/ weakness of my back/ left arm. I'm thankful it's not legs, or my primary arm! Wishing you continued improvement! Beautiful pup!
