Thx for the nice video! Please make more from the TT mk1 😍 There is a nice trick I've learned from a friend: put the oil tube in the freeze for 24h before pressing it into the Haldex. It will reduce a little bit the mess when putting back the screw on. 🤟
Can you do a video on Servicing and Replacing Front Differential Fluid on a 2004 R32 or 2008 R32 or A3 3.2 Quattrro or TT 3.2 Quattro ?????? Everone Seems To Miss This Service or Don't Know Anything About It
I'm about to pull my MK1 haldex out to rebuild it. Any idea on where I can get new clutch packs? Car is just used at the track so an upgraded set would also be cool.
Doing this on axle stands isnt much fun. A car hoist makes things so much easier! Beware also that when you remove the nozzle to place the 5mm screw back in, if you don't get it in square and start threading it quickly, all the new oil will leak out very quickly...... ask me how I know 🤨
Can’t find any front differential tutorials or info for a 5 speed manual tt and idk if any of y’all have maybe or know where the filter is/if there’s a filter I saw one video where they said there was one but I did not have one in that location, I’m confident in the Haldex service just not sure about front half
I tried this method and it is the way recommended by everyone including autodata and was a big mess just seems ridiculous why you can't just fill from level hole
Don't you love when people say (the drivers side or passenger side) like everyone in the World drive on the same side ,it's not so bad in a video because you can work it out but in forums is just the worst
You’d probably need some kind of short hose extension because going straight in, you’d have to have the car up,pretty high. Call body shops or garages and ask if you can borrow their lift for 20 minutes.
@@Deutscheautoparts Guys, is there any mechanical or software difference between haldex 1 in A3 and S3/TT and between standard Golf and R32? Performance of haldex 1 in sporty versions looks better...

Appreciate the demo on fishing the filter out of that tight spot, made it easy for me this time around, getting the filter back in just as easy.
You can freeze the new oil to make it thicker ,PS also a decent drive before hand is good to warm up the old oil for draining
Thank you folks at DAP. You guys just made my life easier.. I agree with Rui Almeida, more MK1 TT225 vids.
make more vids with this tt225 plz!
And my Audi Dealer wanted to charge me $650 for this service... doing it myself!! Thanks
Wow, and I was thinking it was difficult and very involved. Thanks DAP!

Could have used this video when I still had my R32! Great video though Paul! 👍❤️
Thanks for teaching me about my car
Up next: filling your engine oil via the drain plug
This is the correct method in which to fill following manufacturer specifications... twat
this is why I keep seeing Audi TTs with only the front wheels spinning.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. What should this service normally run $ ?
Great job guys!
Please do this for Mk6 R!
Wonder if it's possible to fill new fluid where the filter goes

Thank you Based Paul, please take my first born
more tt please
What did you do about the engine codes you pulled when you first inspected the car?

Mark Muller lol I have been there my self man.
Simples. Thanks 👍

How often does the Haldex on an R32 need to be serviced?
Link to the wheels?
This process is the same for 2011 Audi tt Quattro correct?
is this possible with jackstands?

Why am I watching this? I have torsen
The more you know......
Ha, same here.

So what does my B8 S4 have?
what about the audi s3 8l? i have one and winter is coming
Isn't it exactly same as this TT?
@@rkan2 I believe so, the body is different but the drive train is exactly the same yes. I just want to be sure before I spend my money
The tt 8n and s3 8l are identical
Why wouldn’t they have a separate plug hole to refill the haldex..doesn’t seem very German..where’s the haldex manufactured..?
Haldex is a swedish company
They do, its on the driver side but theres a piece that can get lost inside and would require removal and opening up haldex unit....🤷♂️
Vince C Awesum engineering you might say then..
Did anyone else buy the oil but it came in a jug rather than a bottle with a nozzle like in the video and advertised on the website ?
Complain and get them to send the correct one
"crack it loose" :D
Is there a service interval for the bevel box?
What fluid is used in the bevel box?
75w90. Same if you have a 02m 6spd. Oem fluid.
....100k change interval
I have room in that car only if I cut legs.
Audi/VW made these cars horrible to service
they are not that horrible if you know what to do.. there are more difficult and overengineered cars out there :)
what a stupidly engineered system
