He's right about the phones. Gorilla Glass made the screens tough enough that they would never break, so the phone companies had them make them even thinner so they could make slimmer phones. That also made the screens breakable again.
Get a screen protector and and a decent case and dont drop the phone, ill never in my life understand how morons break every fucking phone they get. Ive has s9 s10 s22 ultra iphone 4 ect never broke a screen besides when a co worker got it slammed in a door, and i work construction. People are just dumb asf
I remember that. I had one of those Galaxy S3 or 4 from a few years ago. You actually had to try if you wanted to damage that screen. The damn thing exploded before I could put a scratch on the screen.
I had a Samsung S7 and I used to take a key and run it on the screen and it wouldn't scratch. Then I got a One Plus 7 Pro and it had scratches out of nowhere.

The dead skin under the plexiglass is the bane of my existence
On a review most people don't mention is the palm space. And to me is one of the key features as i dont like my hands to hang on the edge. Also, top panel flex people don't mention also. The TE2 for exemple flex like crazy on the top panel if you press down the stick.

I like to get into my guts of controllers consoles. I've got a knack for Electronic repair. The stick being removable is a HUGE sign that many companies know right to repair is a big deal now. Good stuff. Highly recommend everyone learn how to solder. You can make your controller and sticks last WAY longer with proper mods and care.
I wish more retail fight sticks were offered with a Sega 2P button layout as an option
Ever since using the fighting edge, I’m sold on Hayabusa buttons. What Aris said about the button press registering easier is exactly why I love them. Much less travel compared to Sanwa
Agreed, hayabusa buttons are hella nice. The stick isn't half bad either- very close to sanwa.

I also agree 100%. People who don't like Hayabusa often say they're "too sensitive". Like how is that a con? Unless you have a shaky hand, these buttons aren't sensitive enough to activate from a gust of wind. I like it so much I have 2 custom leverless made out of just Hayabusa's (all 30mm).
hayabusa buttons are super low profile which really shows its SF heritiage. definitely made for plinking.

@@optionlV It's just preference. I personally prefer crown buttons. Currently using their mechanical switch buttons. Used a few different types and the one thing I always preferred is that they're not as sensitive as other buttons. I have a background in osu and used stiff switches when I played it so I ended up preferring that stuff.

Idk how long good sticks last but my may flash still holds up 3 years later, the same cannot be said for the ps4 and xbone pads I've owned over the years

thanks for this video. and yeah thats pretty much my logic for controllers, which is why i picked up the dualsense edge to combat stick drift. it'll be cheaper in the long run than buying 8+ dual senses i think. i also think im going to grab the Victrix Pro FS because its design and materials looks the best to me and most comfortable for wrists.
The dual sense edge also has stick drift

I actually use a fightstick in Moron Kombat, but that's because I play grapple characters that have those weird, down, back, forward, inputs to get a command grab. It's actually alot more easier for that reason.
That is a cool feature. I had to resort to getting the jlf quick release but had to wait for it to come in stock to even grab one.
Despite what he said, the little hatch on the bottom only enables you to remove the balltop (or battop) without opening the controller, not remove the "stick". The shaft will still be sticking out.

Anyone else find that Hayabusa sticks give unintended directional inputs if you let go of the stick. For example if you press the lever to the left and let go, it gives you a right input because it's too springy

@@granddaddy_funk I dont think I've ever had that problem with my pro n hayabusa but I'll be on the look out for it now. Mainly play shmups anyway, but some third strike and vampire too
I heard about this but neither my Rap4 or my Hori Alpha ps5 has this issue.
4 arcade sticks is the perfect amount. Then you have enough for everyone to play some Ninja Turtles, Ninja Baseball Bat Man or X-Men arcade if the occasion arises. Be prepared amigos.
Aris, brah. If you bang through that many DualSenses just get the pro one and you can replace the joysticks when they go bad.

Aris is 100 percent right about the T.E. 2... was my first stick, but yeah that thing gets gross lol. Use a Hori fighting edge and the victrix sticks now! This one looks interesting, however!

I feel like either Aris is a straight up barbarian with his controllers or just really unlucky to have to go through THAT many controllers. (Or just really sensitive to drift, maybe a combination of all three) Regardless definitely a very valid point, arcade sticks are designed to have the shit beaten out of them so you'll get a lot of mileage out of a nice one... Still the Obsidian 2 is mad expensive for what it offers

When it comes to travel with the arcade stick, I've always put a roll of toilet paper around the stick, can't go faster nor cheaper, never broke one
The Razer Pantera is a great stick, idk what he's talking about. Maybe the sequel (Evo?) to it is worse?

all you need really is a good quality case for a stick cause everything can be replaced or upgraded from console genration to another and on pc you lucky as its backwards compatible all the way from the dinosaurs age os really the case is the primary thing

Isn't the Hori RAP4 considered a good 'budget' stick?
I’d say so.
I have a RAPN not 4, but the only difference is the box dimensions and the button layout. The parts on the RAP are definitely good enough for a competitor, keep in mind the lever and buttons are not Sanwa, which if you are not an arcade boomer, should not matter.
I have also a RAP4 Kai. Great stick, good price.

Yeah any mid level and up hori stick is legit. Rap4 is prolly mad affordable right about now too. I got my pro n hayabusa for 140 new in box on either Amazon or Ebay a couple years back

You still need a flathead screwdriver.
@@kaeede91 the lid of the bottom hatch has a built-in flathead tip, but even with that you can't remove the stick, just the balltop (or battop).

If this stick was 100 cheaper I would go for it. If the reason truly is PS5 usage then can they just make a PC/Xbox only version? I don't play on any consoles and I ain't going to any local.

What makes a stick worth 300? The parts that will fail(stick and buttons) are cheap and easily replaceable. Outside of that, it's just a box to house those parts right? Saying this as a poor mayflash f300 user with sanwa stick and buttons. Shits been going strong since 2017
