I have the mx5100 pre regen. Not one single problem in 7 years
I went from a L3301 to a MX5400 because the extra weight and hp as well as underside protection when in the woods. I'm just mad that I didn't get the MX to begin with but had a salesman that didn't know how to upsell.

Have a MX5200 a were IS the "under-body protection" ; @ 6years old & 1100hours -- have NOT Found it yet. Everything it just "dangling" underneath there; luckily haven't snagged anthing yet. Also have a 1736M Massey-Ferguson with "Compleat undercarage " -"shieldage & reinforcement "::: ALL STANDARD EQUIPMENT. Kubota needs to "tighten-up" with their sales pitches & lower their prices.
I tried to lift a round bale with my L3901 and it could not lift it with the forks, so I had to use the bucket to roll it. I wish I purchased the MX.
I like the fact that I can get a manual clutch on these machines. Hydrostatic is fine if it is NOT foot controlled.
I owned 150acr. 50% wooded 50field
Lots of hills. I also run a new maple syrup small operation maneuvring the tractor in the bush is important, weight ...and center gravity.
What tractor du you recommend. I am thinking between 35 (l3901)and 52hp (mx5200 )... not sure.
The model depends on how deep your pockets are

none left at my dealer his lots all most empty wich my kubota dealer all most empty wich deere still has alot deere tractors still sitting at there lot wich kubotas are the cheapest then deere wich why its selling fast
I think Kubota is selling faster than deere because it's a better tractor. These tractors now is not the real john deere I knew growing up.
I have a Kubota 4701 Hdrostate, I enjoy it except it uses a lot of diesel fuel!
Something with 47 horse, doesn’t use much fuel.
Why advertise when these MX tractors are nowhere to be found. The dealers in Mich can't get them and if they do get one in , it doesn't have the loader on it.

I have both L 3800 and newer l3901 at two different locations.
I find this to be The Sweet Spot in terms of size and variety of attachments unavailable. You can use the cheaper attachments from Tractor Supply.
Once you go above 50 horsepower at the PTO now you have to start going into much bigger way more expensive attachments.
Can't you buy a reducer to use smaller implements?
