    Thanks for the video, I'm in Texas and am looking at this model with a cab. How long is this one overall, from the front of the loader to the back of the backhoe? To see how long of a garage i need to build. And how tall is the backhoe? To see what the garage door height needs to be.

      Hi Marco, thanks for the question. I took the backhoe off so I am going to refer to the manual. The manual state that the height of the backhoe at rest is 100.1" or roughly 8.34', that seems about right. I think a 12' garage height would be more than adequate. As far as length of the tractor, loader, and backhoe I think a 20' garage would suffice. When I put the backhoe back on I will get a more precise length for you. You may want to go with a longer garage (depending on budget), I like to store my implements inside, away from the weather. I hope this helps!

    I just purchased an MX 6000 only because every dealership in the area was out of the 5400. It was only 1,700 dollars more. The cab model is ideal for the Texas hot weather, overall I am very happy with it.

      Hi Gary, good to hear! We have been having the same issues getting both tractors up here in Michigan. I hope I won't regret not getting the cab ;-)

    Try lifting the front of the pedal with your toe to reverse. Many of us kubota owners use this method. I prefer the John Deere side by side pedals.

    You mentioned the LX series concerning the backhoe, but they are actually smaller than this tractor. That is $50K+ compact tractor. Do they even offer a 3rd function option for the loader? Right now they are offering 0% for 60 months but that is still a pretty big payment for a $51K+ compact tractor.

    • @UpNorthNybergs
      @UpNorthNybergs  3 года назад

      Yes, they do offer a 3rd function, I plan on using it with a grapple, according to my dealer it needs to be dealer installed. I plan on getting a grapple when they become available again. All Land Pride implements seem to be on backorder. I paid roughly $47K for the setup you saw in my video. I agree they are pretty pricey, the no interest for 60 months is certainly makes Kubota competitive. Good luck with your decision!

    Don't you wish they had the fuel tank somewhere else instead of in the hood?

    • @UpNorthNybergs

      Yes, absolutely...holds around 12 gallons, that's a lot of lifting gas cans. I use the Wavian Jerry cans and they are already heavy...haha

      If you buy the Grand L series it has it on the side. But also more money.

      if you havent already learned of it. get the vinyl shaker siphon hose. and that stops the shoulder stress pouring of the cans.

    • @UpNorthNybergs

      I really like it, it does everything around the property that I need done. The nice part is that I am able to get any implements over time, so that certainly helps.

      @@UpNorthNybergs I looked at the smaller Kubota tractor a few years ago shortly after we moved here (we have 4 acres) and decided to buy a Polaris Ranger 570 and Ariens 52” Zero Turn mower instead. These two machines cost half as much as the Kubota and perform most of what we need to do around the property. It would have been nice to have the backhoe last weekend to dig the trench for the electric and water lines to the barn. We rented a trencher instead. The water line video will be coming out soon. I’m struggling with storage issues on my ipad.

      Excellent choice on the tractor!...I have the Kawasaki Mule and a Polaris 570 Sportsman to get around the property and to move wood. Both get used quite a bit.

      Hi BonnAZ, thanks for the question. I currently keep the MX5400 in my pole barn which is 40x90 or 3600 sqft. Lots of room except when friends ask to store their boats in it for the winter ;-)

    How does this compare to a Kioti? I'm struggling with the much higher cost and much lower bucket lift capacity than the Kioti.

    • @UpNorthNybergs
      @UpNorthNybergs  3 года назад +1

      Hi Chris, that was a brand I didn't do a head-to-head comparison. I didn't have a dealership up here, so I really only looked at Mahindra, John Deere, and Kubota. I can say the loader hasn't at all struggled with anything that I've asked it to do. So far, very happy...thanks for watching!

    Try putting your foot flat on the side where the structure is between the forward and reverse tabs. Just rock your foot back and forth so its your ankle and just down force.
    I have 3.5 very technical grass acres to mow with a B26/30 and a 72 inch deck. It takes a good 3 hours and if you just put your foot on the tabs back and forth, it will wear on someone who doesnt have hip issues.
    Try it and see if it helps
