You know it's a different Ronnie Jackson, right?
Any physician carries a license to practice in a state and a board certification to practice the specialty. State boards revoke (physician loses) a license based on that individual state boards policy. When a physician decides to no longer see patients in that state the physician allows the license to expire. Dr. Jackson allowed his license to expire because he was no longer seeing patients in Virginia (he lives in Texas). He is still board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine through 2025. When a physician is ready to stop clinical practice they allow both the certification and license to expire. It doesn't mean they lose their license. If for some reason Dr. Jackson wanted to "see patients" in Virginia again he would just reapply to have the license activated. He remains a physician his entire life.
He had his medical license revoked in 2020 in Va ..Although he can perform emergency medical procedures on a military base only
