Of all the guitars I ever played , Schecters are the best for the price you pay. I got a cheap b2, brand new with FR for $200 and this guitar stays in tune and plays great. I cant wait to get a 7 string . I always wanted 1 Thanks Schecter for making great guitars affordable
Man, you sold me on the merits of this guitar. I love the idea of taking the controls out of the way of the picking hand. I have a volume pedal, and would probably use that for swells if I had this in my lineup. Not to mention, you actually requested a deeper cutaway for this model. That's my main problem with some Schecters, not having a deep enough cutaway. That's been a deal killer for me for a long time... this guitar would change my outlook on Schecters of this type. With the pickups, I could see myself using this guitar for a lot of different music... though I'm not sure I'd like the Nazgul using a clean tone. I'd have to try one first, I guess!
Jackson/charvel have been the worst at putting the fucking volume control so close to the bridge pickup! ive owned several and it always pissed me off to the point I wouldn't play them! Id put it in the corner, and play something else
Looking for a 7 string and this guitar looks nice, was thinking about the SLS series but I think I like this model best, would love to try one out! Where can I try this guitar out or would I have to order one and if so is there any try out period to see if I like this guitar? I know some stores let you have sometime to try equipment out! how did keith merrow get where he is? Not saying he's not a killer guitar player, I was subbed to him back when all he did was playthroughs on Agiles. my question is, how did he go from being a dude playing guitar in his house to being all famous and having his own signature guitar and shit?

He also works for Seymour Duncan. From what I've heard he has a bit of a rep among good players. I've heard good players say Keith is the best player they've worked with. Keith is in with the cool kids. Not what you know but who you know. In Keith's case it's what you know and who you know. Dude makes killer pups and killer riffs.

Bernie Jr makes incredible guitars, but like you said Schecter can do it for cheaper and make a sig model for consumers. And normally id don't like sig models, but Merrow is a boss. Im a big BCR fan, well vintage and early USA, up to class axe era, although I own several class axes. Keith Merrow is sick, Pillars was my ringtone for like a couple years, so much so that after i changed it, when the song would come on driving, or even at home, I would go to answer my phone hah. I love Keith's style so sick, just thought it was super awesome that he played JR's guitars, than any other brand. Like lets say brand x or brand z that do absolutely nothing for me.
This guitar seems perfect for me but I just cannot agree to buying a guy's signature if he's not a Favorite player of mines. Keith is exceptionally skilled but, not to his fault, he hasnt inspired my playing or anything notably.

I have the same Knob issue. I can't play strats because my palm muting constantly turns down the volume...
