I have 2 switches. One I don’t use really anymore because it had a lot of issues. My second one (got it in 2019. It’s the second model) is really good and I love to use it. I considered the lite one but I didn’t like the idea of it not being able to dock, and the joy cons not coming off. I also like hd rumble. I understood that it was cheaper, but not what I wanted. My mom told me she won’t get me another one so I take extra care of my switch XD the joy cons sometimes are weird.

My parents preordered the yellow one for me for my birthday! I’ve always been the one with the “lite” versions of consoles (DS lite, 2ds) and they haven’t failed me yet, so I’m honestly really excited

for me it’s just because it’s cheap and smaller, allthough ill agree it looks so much better than the full fat switch, it was a good upgrade from the vita for me.

When I buy skyrim, this will probably be like the 8th time buying it lol. Also there's cases with a kick stand on it. I was also very happy with the power a controller, no lag what so ever.

I got the lite as my only switch because all I wanted out of it is the portability so this was perfect for me! I completely agree with you on Nintendo’s choice to make it stand alone with no dock for tv play

I have always played Nintendo, from the ds lite, dsi, and 3ds. I got a psp vita a few years ago and I love it but Nintendo will always be my favorite between Xbox or psp. I ordered a coral Nintendo lite and I can’t wait for it to get here!
I would recommend the Switch Lite either to someone who doesn't have a lot of time to play games, someone who travels around a lot and likes to play video games on the go, or someone who already has a Switch and has a kid, but wants to get their kid their own Switch.

Actually.. if Nintendo wanted to be greedy, they would allow the Lite to be dock-able. Lite is 100 less yes.. but.. having to buy a dock (I know they released a dock only but have fun finding thay) will run you what.. 59.99? 69.99? Then either a set of joycon - 79.99 or a pro controller 59.99.. so in the end Nintendo would have made more money .. now yes you could buy pre owned and save some money.. but still. Still debating on ordering a Lite.. I may put in a preorder for the Pokemon on Gamestop.. but who knows.

Id honestly recommend it for people who have not the most money, granted the other stuff about on the go and handheld mode is true too but when really look at the nintendo switch og for purchase, ur looking at over 300 because youll want games and such. Honestly im trying to set aside 250-300 so I can grab a lite and a copy of botw which ive been dying to try.
The other good thing about the Lite is the fact that it can be easily disassembled for button changes or for replacement parts. I have the grey Switch Lite and have taken it apart like 20 times already haha. But yeah, I've mostly just replaced the white analog sticks and buttons with red analog sticks and red buttons lol. Heck, you can even put more thermal paste on the CPU cooler over time to keep that thing cool after a bunch of disassembles lol.
I moved from the 3DS XL directly to switch lite... I already have a triple A console, so playing switch on tv didn’t made sense to me. There’s a lot of people seeking out a 3DS XL replacement but don’t want to move to a full console... switch lite is perfect and affordable, just perfect.

I'm glad I found this. I borrowed my sister's Mario Party to play ALONE, and I was so upset that I needed separate JoyCons... Why for 1 person do I have to have 1 separate JoyCon, and can't use the whole system? 🥺 I usually like to game alone, so super disappointing, and I'm not gonna buy 2 separate JoyCons for 1 game to play by myself with only 1 JoyCon out of the 2 I just purchased on a 5 inch screen or whatever lmao, that's dumb! The Switch Lite is a beautiful looking console and I even considered it for a little bit but I knew deep down that I wanted to regular Switch. It's not a sharing issue although I have been playing Mario Kart 8 with my girlfriend, but I like to have the option to play in three different ways rather than one for an extra £80

January 4th.. There were like a million lites... especially pink ones. (Idk why? Dive deep into Skyrim or the Witcher on my days off. Playing need for speed hot pursuit. I just got Red faction to play with my lil sis. Super nostalgic for us we used to play it with my dad when he was alive back n the day. We only had one controller on this pos Xbox 360 lmao 😭🤣 red faction is dope cause every building in the game can be destroyed. Wether you want to use a hammer 🔨 or an 🪓 to blowing shit up 💥 with explosive 🧨 charges or rocket 🚀 launchers. So there’s a mini multiplayer game called wrecking crew and you have to try and destroy the entire level as fast you can under a timer ⏱. Then pass the controller off for player 2 and etc. i was so stoked to see this game for the switch cause the switch lite is perfect for games like that. We used to stay up for hours playing that game with my pops 😭🤣 Red Faction Guerrilla remastered I definitely will be getting regular Nintendo switch at one point but the lite was perfect for me in the meantime. I really want the animal crossing edition switch 🤪 plus it would be pretty fun to play multiplayer games with my family and friends.
"Drawbacks"? All the games that you can't play on Switch Lite, suck..... There are only upsides to getting the switch lite. That saved money will afford you games, a bluetooth controller, and even a stand or a carry case for the price of a whole giant clunky original Switch.....

Why for 1 person do I have to have 1 separate JoyCon, and can't use the whole system? 🥺 I usually like to game alone, so super disappointing, and I'm not gonna buy 2 separate JoyCons for 1 game to play by myself with only 1 JoyCon out of the 2 I just purchased on a 5 inch screen or whatever lmao, that's dumb! F in the chat... 😔 But at least I have Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing and Mario Kart. 😭🖐🏻

The Switch Lite is a beautiful looking console and I even considered it for a little bit but I knew deep down that I wanted to regular Switch. It's not a sharing issue although I have been playing Mario Kart 8 with my girlfriend, but I like to have the option to play in three different ways rather than one for an extra £80
It doesn’t look that nice shape design wise, but COLOURS OMFG to DIE FOR!!!!!!! I had to own the salmon pink “coral” one... I owned it for a bit but then I switched to the normal switch. January 4th.. There were like a million lites... especially pink ones. (Idk why? Since pink is the most badass sweet color... bet it’s loser kids who are “color phobic” lmfao or think pink is for girls cause they have ignorant dumb influences growing up....) but anyways... I got the switch lite BARELY... (I was focused on PSVR & QUEST2 & PC gaming & VR before owning the switch...) & I HATED the joy con analog sticks.... absolutely trash. Honestly I returned it and just bought the LAST normal switch left in the store on like JAN 8th cause of how much I hate the joycons. Also bigger screen & then having the video output driver in it also was just a nice plus but I’m honestly never gonna use it on a TV... that’s the point of a switch to me.... instead I bought a switch pro controller & a fillip/mount to hold it on the pro controller..: look it up. It’s awesome!!! Joycons are the worst controllers I have ever used in history of my gaming life... and my first console was an N64 on release date. I thought the controller was awesome... (not for FPSs obviously.) Lol but basically buy a normal switch unless ur rich enough to just throw away money to own/collect a switch lite on the side. I can afford it but honestly just why? If I’m gonna collect that the cwhy not collect all the other colours and systems and etc. no thanks. But honestly WTF 299 is not even that much!!!! Maybe if the console was like 700 bucks or more then it would be like WOAH that’s like a decent amount of income ... but it’s like nothing. If u or ur parents can’t afford it then you guys need to double check ur shit or ur parents are Fucking liars or maybe u don’t get good enough grades and do ur chores and are a good kid u LITTLE shit lmao. 8:51 yeah that’s me. Animal crossing in the morning before work. Taking 💩 🚽 🎮 anywhere I can fit in a few tasks on AC or catch some pokemon real quick. Maybe smack some heads on saints row. Dive deep into Skyrim or the Witcher on my days off. Playing need for speed hot pursuit. I just got Red faction to play with my lil sis. Super nostalgic for us we used to play it with my dad when he was alive back n the day. We only had one controller on this pos Xbox 360 lmao 😭🤣 red faction is dope cause every building in the game can be destroyed. Wether you want to use a hammer 🔨 or an 🪓 to blowing shit up 💥 with explosive 🧨 charges or rocket 🚀 launchers. So there’s a mini multiplayer game called wrecking crew and you have to try and destroy the entire level as fast you can under a timer ⏱. Then pass the controller off for player 2 and etc. i was so stoked to see this game for the switch cause the switch lite is perfect for games like that. We used to stay up for hours playing that game with my pops 😭🤣 Red Faction Guerrilla remastered
I definitely will be getting regular Nintendo switch at one point but the lite was perfect for me in the meantime. I really want the animal crossing edition switch 🤪 plus it would be pretty fun to play multiplayer games with my family and friends.

There are only upsides to getting the switch lite. That saved money will afford you games, a bluetooth controller, and even a stand or a carry case for the price of a whole giant clunky original Switch.....

I hav both and like them both but switch lite can olney play in hand hilld and if you wet to ay co op with a frend be it online or not you can do so off line co op cos switch lite dos not do so but if you wet to play co op om line on switch lite you can do so as if you wer playing a og switch thay both hav good points and bad ones but its up to you if you buy one
