I haven't gotten a Switch yet and now I'm glad I waited,because now I can get a Switch Lite..and this list helped me to decide what games I want to start out with on my new Switch..I'm coming from a 3DS to a Switch and I'm lost without helpful videos like this
Portable is the best! Perfect design for it and a dream console for hand held games such as RPGs. Got my PC beast machine for power but this is perfect for the classics and even new RPGs
The switch lite is AMAZING and I gotta say, animal crossing is pretty perfect for this console, I have over 400 hours on my lite and I haven’t had any issues with comfort or feeling like I’m jipped by not being able to dock
I felt the same but then I got a switch as well for streaming haha and a second island and now when I pick up the switch lite I’m like damn this screen is so small. But it is great for AC, I play on the TV when I stream obviously but there’s nothing better than snuggling up in bed and playing it handheld.

Breath of the Wild is AMAZING on my switch lite I’ve played it over and over again and never got tired of it bc you can always challenge yourself with bigger enemies and try to figure out how to kill them more easier. I feel like it was much more suited for handheld and not tv

I got my switch for my birthday although it was in February my dad took so long to get it it came in December lol but it was my first console at 11 I’m still 11 lol
Even though that this was posted over a year ago and Animal Crossing New Horizons was not out then, I honestly think that Animal Crossing is the best game for a lite in my opinion, just because it feels more comfortable to play it in your two hands.
I honestly would recommend The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. I just feel that it is one of the best “aged” games on the market. Probably my favorite open world rpg. Just trust me and watch some videos on it if your not sure.

Super Mario Odyssey isn't my favorite Mario game, but it works amazingly well for portable gaming because of the bite sized mission structure. Most moons don't take too long to get which lends itself perfectly for portable play. And I think there's almost a thousand moons to collect.
Years later lmao, but I just got a Switch with Mario Odyssey and I don't like it as much in handheld. The game itself tells you to play with the joycons off the console so I think it works better in tabletop mode or docked
Little Nightmares is a great horror game. I personally played it on handheld but I have heard it works perfectly in any display. Highly recommend if you’re into horror games with beautiful visuals.
For anyone with a little boy (or girl) with a switch lite the best games I’ve found for my son are: Any of the Pokémon games Minecraft Mario Kart deluxe Any car racing games in general These are good because you don’t need to read much if any dialogue/dialogue is not necessary to understand the game and they also look and work well on a handheld console. I’d add acnh to the list but my son can’t read lol and I think reading is more necessary for that game.

I would HIGHLY recommend Celeste, as it's just an amazing platformer that's both fluid and user friendly. You can do quite a bit in it in both short burts, and longer play sessions. Overall, 10/10. Would recommend
Visual Novels are amazing on Switch Lite. In fact, its better to read them there than on a PC. Though there aren't many titles which are on the Switch yet, unless you include Otome games.

I'm looking to buy a switch lite to play some Pokémon and wanted to find a channel that would recommend me what other games are perfectly fit for it. My last handheld was those New 2DS XL ones that were light and basically the last squeeze of the generation. I'm glad I found you, since I couldn't find any other youtuber talking about this. My only grip is that some of these games you mentioned are on the Play Store, amd maybe even on the Apple Store, idk. And that you must do an updated one with all the new games since then. I mean, next year we get a new console, but I doubt it'll be as portable as the lite. Great work!
If you haven’t already, I’d highly recommend Super Mario Odyssey. It’s worth the money, it keeps you busy, the graphics are like nothing I’ve seen on a portable device. Plus bonus puzzles 🧩

Stardew Valley was a PC game originally. It works on Switch lite because it is heavily inspired by the harvest moon series.
