So if you have all your games downloaded to your sd card on your OG switch and insert it into the Lite will they show up and play since you have your same Nintendo account on the system? If so, it would be easier to throw the sd card into a computer and make a copy onto another card to avoid downloading.
I've been watching reviews of the Switch Lite and I can't say how many times I've heard, "It's a good second switch". Like dude I'm poor I just want the one hahaha
greens my guy no one is saying its trash. But there are limitations to why the original is better. The joy cons is able to be two controllers at once, it comes with a few games, it has a kick stand and you can choose to play in tv mode and handheld at the same time. Not to mention the lite makes certain games like snipper clips, luigis mansion 3, super mario odyssey and super mario party almost unplayable. Also if you have friends that want to play with you, you’ll have to go looking for a pack of joy cons or pro controllers. At this point you’ve almost spent the same amount of money you would on a regular switch
Clutch Master also i think your missing the point of what it’s supposed to do. it’s a portable only device and that’s the way i like it, especially for 100 bucks cheaper.

I’ve had my Switch Lite for a week now and in all honesty, I prefer it over my OG Switch due to a lot of things. It’s lighter, the buttons are a lot quieter, the D-Pad is great, and visuals look a lot better.
Zee E drifting usually happens after a few months I believe. I don’t have a switch lite, but my normal switch had drifting problems and we sent them back to get repaired. However, in the past 2 weeks ish its starting to drift again which is super annoying.
Reasons why I’m buying the switch lite over normal switch: 1. Pretty coral color matches my entire gaming setup aesthetic. 2. I do not have siblings to play with. 3. All of my friends already own a switch so if I want to play a game of smash in person on tv then we can use their switches. 4. I have not been able to talk to/see my irl friends often since the outbreak and the switch lite is going to mend that void without burning too large of a hole in my pocket
Everyone I know who plays on the Switch owns their own. The people who used to play games on the couch just don’t touch video games anymore. The main Switch has cool features, but everything I care about, ergonomics, portability, battery life; the Switch Lite just does better. Next generation I’m waiting it out for the Switch 2 Lite.
Buy an old lawnmower and fix it it will make you feel better than buying something twice more or less. If you dont need the mower you can always sell it.
I have the Yellow Switch Lite. I got it because i wanted a cheap entry into the switch and didn't care about TV connectivity, since i have a PS4. I also got a 2DS back in the day because i didn't care about 3D but wanted to play those games. I appreciate Nintendo giving consumers options.
I travel a lot and when I dont I still have about 2 hours each day to get to school and back home. So a switch lite would make much more sense to get for me, I guess.

You SHOULDN'T. Unless you're somehow so poor you can afford switch lite but not the original switch, then fine. The switch is way better and lite just removes the "switch" part of the switch.

I just got the Switch Lite yeterday and so far love it! Wish the screen was a bit bigger but honestly not too bad. My opinion: If you are more into handheld and don't see yourself using a Switch out of the house or on your TV too often, go with the Lite.

I just picked up a switch lite, I really didn’t see a need in plugging the switch into the tv, I have other consoles for that, the switch lite makes much more sense as a hand held imo, I’m glad the made the lite to accompany the full fat switch but the lite gives me 95% of the features at 2/3 of the cost

As someone who bought both, I can assure you, OG Switch is a big winner in comparison. Hell my Lite had a dead pixel. Never had a dead pixel on ANY Nintendo products I've ever bought before!

I enjoyed over 2,5 solid years with my OG Switch, now that one stays in the dock while I cary around my spanking fresh Switch lite. When the pro eventually comes out, I'll get that one as well. I wouldn't do this with any console but I'm a big fan of handhelds and the Switch is probably my favorite console of all time, so yeah, whenever a new one comes out, I'll get it.
I got the blue switch lite, I am a full time college student with a full time job, so I’m never really at my house next to my dock, and the official grip and grip case are huge. The switch lite is the perfect size to fit in my bag, and I still have room for all my other stuff. I still play in tv mode whenever I can, but I’m not apposed to imperfect or jank solutions to a problem.
@@juliannotbreezy5321 Because those sticks are fragile as hell, and I don't want to have any problems with stick drift. The ds is different because it folds in half, so the screen, sticks, and buttons aren't exposed.
I'm a PC gamer and I find this device perfect. I was going to buy a switch, but saw the switch light and the fact that it has 92% of the screen ratio as the regular switch but being smaller. This is perfect for portable gaming. It's the first device where I feel I'm playing a comparable game to the consoles.
my sister bought me a lite because i got an operation that meant i had to lay down and sit a lot. i couldn't really move enough for pc gaming without pain, and the light weight of the lite along with the small size made it possible for me to still play games, while i'm healing.
Honestly lol, if you already have one switch there is no reason to get the lite. They made this for people on a budget, that's why there's less features.
No I like to keep my Original Switch docked and use my Switch lite on the go. It is smaller and lighter. Also if something happens to it I have my Original Switch at home waiting for me on the dock where I can just download my cloud saves from the cloud. Win-Win.
Since the announcement, I felt like this switch lite is for the Pokémon players. They are a massive group and still have their 3ds with ultra sun/moon.
Simple fix. System function unlocks when an account is on more than one switch. One easily accessible button to update all cloud save files not currently up to date. Then another button to download any cloud save files not up to date for the other system.
this review has made me feel more confident in the fact that i made this my final choice for which switch console to purchase. i mostly want this console for when i want to play a video game but my family is on the tv where we keep my xbox next to our roku or when im not in the mood for a hardcore game like resident evil 2 or something like that. this will be perfect for me.
I travel between my place, my boyfriend's place and my parents place (except not right now obv. due to corona), so for me it made sense to have an easily portable console. Also I have tiny wrists and this is just less heavy and bulky for me to hold. In case anyone out there is wondering.
Waiting for my turquoise Lite right now. I went to goodness knows how many stores trying to find a regular Switch, but none of the stores even had an option to order one. In the long run, it's probably better this way, I don't care about docking to my tv, I've always been more of handheld player anyway, and I like the idea of using that $100 I'm saving for 2 games instead. Just hoping I'm not a victim of the dreaded drift.
I bought my Switch Lite for about 150. A pretty good deal all things considering and I've been playing this more than my full size Switch that has remained docked most of the time. For me, THIS thing is what the PSVita should have been and it isn't even that much bigger than a Vita

This would be perfect for me. I've been wanting to buy a switch specifically to play at work on my lunch hour. I ride my bike everywhere and wish I could game on the go, but they don't make any new games for my 3DS, and I can only play Majora's Mask and OOT so much.
I bought it for 150, I’m happy with it, I’ve had a ps4 for years and I do not use it that much. I always play mobile competitive games like PUBG, cod, vainglory(when it was alive)etc, so the controllers just feel natural to me.
I'm getting a switch lite just for animal crossing. I never wanted one before and tbh I'm not getting the OG switch because I want the game as quickly as possible.
I traded my og switch in for the lite. Docked it like 3 times. A downgrade on paper but I love it. I have small hands and it gets a bit uncomfortable for me too. A grip is recommended in general for anyone with the lite. As far as exclusive handheld goes it feels like an upgrade. It's more solid. The smaller screen size was noticable initially, but I can't even tell the difference anymore. Plus it looks better. The HD rumble absence almost turned me off but I barely notice it unless I'm looking for an odyssey ground pound moon. But the screen shakes by default settings on the lite when you're near one in Odyssey. Here's a specific example where I'm happy the HD rumble is absent. I parry my way through pve in dark souls. It felt like my joy con controllers were going to fall off during the animation. I don't miss that one bit. Just like the smaller screen size, the HD rumble omission is unnoticeable after a short bit. It's been said, but if you're only in handheld and indifferent about tabletop, I highly recommend the lite. Just buy a comfort grip.
I really like the Nintendo handheld systems, always have so I can see myself getting this. Pokemon and some platform games, could be good for Christmas

I did just that with 3ds XL yesterday and all physical games I still had. I love the original switch but my hands are smaller and I travel on rapids and public transportation. It feels way better in my hands and the smaller size for myself is a significant difference for playing longer stretches of time.
I'm just interested in the Switch Lite for modding it and use it as a Retro Handheld system. Very good form factor, very good display, good performance and an active modding community. N64 emulation shouldn't be any problem at all. I think there is no comparable handheld device in this price range. I'm sure this device will be very successful in the Retro handheld modding community in the next years.

I just got the Switch Lite yeterday and so far love it! Wish the screen was a bit bigger but honestly not too bad. My opinion: If you are more into handheld and don't see yourself using a Switch out of the house or on your TV too often, go with the Lite.

I just picked up a switch lite, I really didn’t see a need in plugging the switch into the tv, I have other consoles for that, the switch lite makes much more sense as a hand held imo, I’m glad the made the lite to accompany the full fat switch but the lite gives me 95% of the features at 2/3 of the cost

As someone who bought both, I can assure you, OG Switch is a big winner in comparison. Hell my Lite had a dead pixel. Never had a dead pixel on ANY Nintendo products I've ever bought before!

I enjoyed over 2,5 solid years with my OG Switch, now that one stays in the dock while I cary around my spanking fresh Switch lite. When the pro eventually comes out, I'll get that one as well. I wouldn't do this with any console but I'm a big fan of handhelds and the Switch is probably my favorite console of all time, so yeah, whenever a new one comes out, I'll get it.

I got the blue switch lite, I am a full time college student with a full time job, so I’m never really at my house next to my dock, and the official grip and grip case are huge. The switch lite is the perfect size to fit in my bag, and I still have room for all my other stuff. I still play in tv mode whenever I can, but I’m not apposed to imperfect or jank solutions to a problem.

I'm a PC gamer and I find this device perfect. I was going to buy a switch, but saw the switch light and the fact that it has 92% of the screen ratio as the regular switch but being smaller.
This is perfect for portable gaming. It's the first device where I feel I'm playing a comparable game to the consoles.
my sister bought me a lite because i got an operation that meant i had to lay down and sit a lot. i couldn't really move enough for pc gaming without pain, and the light weight of the lite along with the small size made it possible for me to still play games, while i'm healing.

No I like to keep my Original Switch docked and use my Switch lite on the go. It is smaller and lighter. Also if something happens to it I have my Original Switch at home waiting for me on the dock where I can just download my cloud saves from the cloud. Win-Win.

Since the announcement, I felt like this switch lite is for the Pokémon players. They are a massive group and still have their 3ds with ultra sun/moon.

Simple fix. System function unlocks when an account is on more than one switch. One easily accessible button to update all cloud save files not currently up to date. Then another button to download any cloud save files not up to date for the other system.
That's kind of how Steam does it with Steam Cloud, and it's super convenient

I travel between my place, my boyfriend's place and my parents place (except not right now obv. due to corona), so for me it made sense to have

Waiting for my turquoise Lite right now. I went to goodness knows how many stores trying to find a regular Switch, but none of the stores even had an option to order one. I bought my Switch Lite for about 150. A pretty good deal all things considering and I've been playing this more than my full size Switch that has remained docked most of the time. For me, THIS thing is what the PSVita should have been and it isn't even that much bigger than a Vita

I just got a teal switch lite, I wasn't really ever planning on docking my switch anyways so I didn't see the point on paying extra for the regular switch, plus it's nice and small for my little lady hands and very nice and portable
I wanted to buy it too cause I always travel, but for the black friday I got original switch for 250 whereas Lite was 180, I live with friends so I would have bought joycons anyway, and 180+70=250 so I chose the original. I think it's a great product, but if you can find great deals I think it's not really worth it...

I bought it for 150, I’m happy with it, I’ve had a ps4 for years and I do not use it that much. I always play mobile competitive games like PUBG, cod, vainglory(when it was alive)etc, so the controllers just feel natural to me.

I traded my og switch in for the lite. Docked it like 3 times. A downgrade on paper but I love it. I have small hands and it gets a bit uncomfortable for me too. A grip is recommended in general for anyone with the lite. As far as exclusive handheld goes it feels like an upgrade. It's more solid. The smaller screen size was noticable initially, but I can't even tell the difference anymore. Plus it looks better. The HD rumble absence almost turned me off but I barely notice it unless I'm looking for an odyssey ground pound moon. But the screen shakes by default settings on the lite when you're near one in Odyssey. Here's a specific example where I'm happy the HD rumble is absent. I parry my way through pve in dark souls. It felt like my joy con controllers were going to fall off during the animation. I don't miss that one bit. Just like the smaller screen size, the HD rumble omission is unnoticeable after a short bit. It's been said, but if you're only in handheld and indifferent about tabletop, I highly recommend the lite. Just buy a comfort grip.

I did just that with 3ds XL yesterday and all physical games I still had. I love the original switch but my hands are smaller and I travel on rapids and public transportation. It feels way better in my hands and the smaller size for myself is a significant difference for playing longer stretches of time.

I'm just interested in the Switch Lite for modding it and use it as a Retro Handheld system. Very good form factor, very good display, good performance and an active modding community. N64 emulation shouldn't be any problem at all. I think there is no comparable handheld device in this price range. I'm sure this device will be very successful in the Retro handheld modding community in the next years.
