I like your using men's shirts. I bought a sheet from an outlet store and made 2 long valances and 2 round stand scarves with ruffles from 1 sheet.
They wash up great, and I just hang them back up. They are 27 years old and look like they did I made them. There is a lot of material in just 1 sheet.
I used sheets for just regular clothes, too.

You could use a wallpaper roller if you need to squeeze out the bubbles on the canvas

Have you tried using the Adding Machine Tape for scrap busting? Use the NON-thermal tape
and just start sewing scraps of different widths to it, make it as wide as you want, very clever
and stress relieving. Merry Christmas!

I have used the idea of fabric on canvas for a long time. The biggest piece is my headboard that is fabric over canvas and batting in between. It has lasted over 25 years. Finding the 96” canvas was the hardest part. Thank you for the video. Those are great ideas. Guess I should start on them for next Christmas so they would no longer be classified as last minute. Lol. Am using the quick table runner you demonstrated last year. Merry Christmas to you and your family and the fur babies. Hope your granddaughter gets interested in helping you with your sewing/craft projects. 🎄

April, I really like all of your last minute gift ideas, BUT I/we need a new house large enough for 10 people! We had a fire on the 8th & our old house is so messed up. One room is left habitable. Do you have one in your pocket? We're working with insurance & Red Cross has been great!

I’ve done the mod podge with scraps of fabric in crazy quilt fashion and applied it to a hefty cardboard box inside and out. I used pinking shears to reduce strings. Thanks for some great ideas here. I found your channel through Sister Chicks. I’ve made myself a few reusable shopping bags from the prequilted fabrics. They have a little insulation value for cold items. My problem is I tend to make them a little big and then they get heavy when full of groceries.

I did a short on it ... all it is ---- comic book boards ... I wrap my material around and store in the wooden treats... they are from Joann.... I put a link in the description for the comic book boards... I ordered from AMAZON.

Toothpaste (not gel) will take crayons off. Top stitching first would be a good idea for me. Where did you get the pattern (template) for the states? I love to work in scraps.
See if you can find an old road map for the state you need and trace the outline or take it to an office supply store that has a large copy machine and see if they can adjust the size of the outline of the state to meet the desired size.
I just found an SVG on ETSY and used it to cut out a template
