      Amie had applied for one restraining order which was dismissed and her second restraining order expired in 2015, 5 yrs before her death. It wouldn't have mattered, even if she'd had an order of protection at the time of her murder.
      Look how he taunted her in public! He didn't care and you don't get to play the mentally disturbed card because you like to torment and stalk people anymore than you can plead you're mentally ill because you're a serial killer. Too bad!
      These types of people will stop at nothing. I only wish Amie had shot him dead because there wouldn't be a prosecutor who'd have ever charged her w/committing a crime.

      I don't think that Mr. Pursehouse's deviant behavior is a result of him getting his way all the time; if we delve deep, we may find negligent parents, childhood trauma, environmental forces or mental illnesses at play; we just don't know enough right now. But we do know that, if found guilty, he must be isolated from society.

    I suffer from OCD and obsessive love disorder. My father gave me the best advice ever. If you want their attention, ignore them. If that doesn’t work, they’re not interested, so get rid of everything that reminds you of them and avoid social media until you get over it. It really is about distance and that’s very difficult for anyone that has obsessive thoughts of any kind. To top it off this guy didn’t understand that there is a such thing as messing up so badly that you no longer have a right to contact the person you hurt. Forgiveness is not something owed to you. And the best way to earn it once it reaches that point is to LEAVE THEM ALONE. They don’t need to know you’re a “better person.” They need to heal. Let them f-ing heal.
    To prevent obsessive love disorder to begin with is about forcing yourself to commit to other things that keep you busy.
    Very sad that this guy didn’t recognize how wrong this behavior is… Neglect and improper/minimal childhood socialization leads to this behavior. Socialize your kids IMMEDIATELY and stop letting them isolate!!! Privacy is one thing. Isolation is completely different and a sign that your child is experiencing something that could turn out badly in the future.

I don't need a law degree to know that he had every intention on killing her. Who has purified nicotine laying around in the house? Why put it in a syringe and take it with you if you're not going to use it 🙄? We may not be lawyers but we're no Patrick star. Sounds as if Gareth may have to essentially testify in order to convince a jury of his claim to innocence. However, there appears to be multiple reasons for jury members to be open minded to his version of events. Starting with evaluating the potential that Gareth had to assume that Amie was going to be coming home alone... as it's still convenient to kill yourself after some guilt trip-based interaction, while murder may not be so easy to pull off. And moreover, statistically how often does someone invade another's home armed with an injection needle as a weapon.... There's something of a well documented history of Gareth pulling guilt trips in different ways, including Amie personally mentioning her impression of him being that she didn't sense he was a danger in committing harm to her, despite that he was shaking violently. Gareth even openly mentioned his obsession with her in addition proving it by mentioning texts in such detail... as well as even claiming to have became too disfunctional to work, after his depression from their break up. He's also crying and gets turned down for a hug. It's not overall difficult to see the convenience of killing oneself to finally use a guilt trip that sticks. And with the room mate Michael only going out of his way to say that he heard Amie being thrown down to the ground, that said... an indication of restraining could fall along the lines of a suicidal guilt trip much easier than such as striking Amy. And I at least don't recall any evidence mentioned that she was ever battered, as best recalled.... And even when Gareth heard the roomate yelling up the stairs, he didn't choose to beat Amie unconscious (perhaps may've been even something of easy to do in his case) or severely to whatever needed to next focus on combating a second party potentially intruding.... It also seems that the defense might have some good suggestive evidence to promote the idea that Gareth even allowed Amie to get away, based upon that not being an easy task as it is, but also in the questionability of Amie's foot potentially damaging an item or device or mayerial... as she attempted to make her way down the railing. And the fall itself wasn't ultimately impactful enough to be fatal as another conclusion. An unfortunately sad and scary event this was for Amie... and to have to come home too.

    • @RyanJansen-mf7wu
      @RyanJansen-mf7wu 9 месяцев назад

      And perhaps, maybe even most importantly to point out in regards to Gareth's potential to desire to commit suicide inside of Amie's home... is that she did specifically mention that she was genuinely sorry for however she could have hurt him in the past. That said, if his somber approach of her got Amie to realize to that point, then Gareth upping the stakes of extremity by breaking into her home and surprising Amie with a whole ordeal of his own personal despair- based death... could've been seen as called for by Gareth.

    The defense is literally victim blaming! She didn't owe him one second of her time much less a conversation or saving him. Luckily, he did receive a chance through her kindness at the event, but after that, she owed him absolutely ZERO! Go to a counselor, doctor, friends, family or anything other than to her. She said NO and he killed her! End story- she was terrified of him and continuing any type of contact was dangerous. There's absolutely no remorse, especially when the defense says she ignored his pleas for help and after" he sadly begged her", his only option was to finish the previous conversation. Wth?? The conversation was finished weeks earlier! He wanted to comtinue seeing her period- She could've talked to him ten more times, but unless she resumed a relationship that was ended 9 years earlier, he wasn't going to stop. People deserve a defense, but this is sickening!

Unfortunately none of those 3 things were good enough. Her last hope was that roommate down stairs but he couldn’t gain the courage to help her. I am not knocking him I am just stating facts. It is certainly not his fault she died and he could have wound up dead also. It started all those years ago when she met him. Geez even if she cheated on him or dumped him or wherever, 8 years to not let it go is crazy. Had some deep rooted issues.

    If I were a juror, I’d be thinking this guy’s off his rocker if he thinks I’m going to ‘let him off the hook’ because the ex girlfriend he terrorized years ago didn’t give him an inch when he found her again years later…and then killed!!!!!
    And how can you explain away strangulation as an accident?! ‘He did not mean to wrap his hands around her throat and strangle her when she was running to the balcony to jump off’. Bloody ridiculous!
