The police couldn't prove it so they didn't present it during the trial, but I suspect Gareth disabled the cameras before even stepping foot on the neighbor's property. That's why the cameras stopped working at 6:45pm. It's easy to disable the cameras if you know how to do it. Gareth being a software engineer he most certainly knew how to do it.

If this pos could sit like a fugly statue & stare at the table for so long, I have no doubt he can lie in wait for hours! It is really showing the true person he is that he just couldn’t give up Amie after so many years & being still so obsessed with her, he worked on her kindness, she knew he was probably violent, but tried her therapy ways to deal with him just not realizing he is a sociopath with some deep mental problems so he needed a psychiatrist therapist, intense treatment! Feel bad for Amie such a good hearted woman. I don’t know why such a beautiful woman would date him for 7 years with his abuse.
