Thank you, for the closed caption availability. All the years of listening to the tractor and machine noise have made our hearing impaired, so I really appreciate the closed caption option. Skip, Western PA
I just bought a Pinkway- hasn't arrived yet. I'm going to have my Stihl dealer make a real Stihl chain for the P-way. I looked at the profile of the Pink-chain; Gee, it isn't round but flat, so you would have to file the heck out of that flat chain to get it rounded, ready to cut wood. On another review, the guy said that after two logs, the P-way chain was dull. Who has time in the woods to play with a dull chain that even gets duller, duller, and duller. Good review. I'm glad I bought it!
The biggest problem is that the chain is too soft and doesn't hold an edge. I put 16in husqvarna bar on it, and it cuts better. Put some grease on the gasket of the air filter to help keep fine dust out of carb. I run 50:1 mix and tuned it some after the first few tanks.
@@BertsCustomCuts yes, I would agree about the bar and chain. Mine bent so I replaced it with an Oregon bar and chain. I to run 50:1 mix. Planning to do an update video soon.
At about 14:00, it looks like the Pinkway chain is dull. That could be the slower time than stihl. A new Oregon chain would be a big improvement. Imho Thank you for the review.
I own similar "Chinese" chainsaws. The chains that come with them are crap. I changed to chains made by Oregon and stihl and the saws work and cut wonderfully.
sounds like the carb needs tuning on the pinkway...seen a few vids and it made a lot of difference on the saw's performance adjusting the carb. not that it is a Stihl replacement by any means.
Chinese chains have this bad habit of not having a proper inside arc profile on the chisel. A good hand sharpening will fix that. Or better yet, just put on a Stihl or Oregon chain.
I do have a helmet with face/eye/ear protection but I’m not always good about having it along with me when I’m driving around the farm. Had I been going to cut a large amount I would have had it along. People should ALWAYS have protection when cutting.
Pinkway Chainsaw requires a 25:1 ratio for oil, that's almost double the amount that Stihl requires at 50:1.. This insinuates a lower quality of steel.

Lot of people (most on RUclips) use square ground chain homey

@@BertsCustomCuts oh! Good to know! I’ll have to check those out.

I said the same thing. To much 4 stroking while in the cut. Lean the high jet a touch and should scream.
That’s what my husband said from across the room
29 looks like it's cutting better.did you sharpen it

Where do you get parts like air filters, fuel filters, etc.????
@@jackloganbill605 I’m pretty sure you can get them on Amazon. I haven’t replaced any of mine yet.
China fibs on the cc of their saws. They are smaller than advertised
U could order a pallet of pinkways for the price of a 500i. Jus sayin. Bet my pallet will last as long too 😂

@@Condor1970 yes, I did end up putting an Oregon chain and bar on it.
Take down the rakers by two swipes and file a better profile into the cutters.then invest in a an Oregon or stihl full chisel chain
@@thehonestwoodcutterbradywe8011 I put a Stihl full chisel on mine- best cutting saw ever!
Why You are not using hearing protection?

Even if u went through two pinkways a year it would take 10 years to equal the price of a 500i.

Chain is dull, not throwing any chips
Mantaapp bro
Try some oil in that chain
Was it cheaper to buy a kids sized cap instead of an adults cap?
20 10. That chain is dull..looks like dust.no good chips..
Chain junk

It’s obviously lower quality steel bro or it wouldn’t be 100$ 😂 u can also but five of them to one stihl (or more)

Not if Stihl last 5 times longer.???
I still have a 028 that's 20 years old.
@@rtoguidver3651 I own two
P-ways both are 50:1; but I run 40:1
