As a white girl growing up in Salt Lake City in the 60s, I had to search for R&B music on the radio. The university station occasionally played a few hours of R&B and I was in heaven. Moved to LA in my twenties and felt like I had been transported to another planet! So much great music on the radio.

Bruno sings with such conviction and earnest, how can you not be moved while you listen to him sing? Anderson just sounds like the coolest cat on the planet while he's playing the drums no less. Also huge props to the band because the track sounds so lush with their instruments and vocals; I have had this track on repeat since it dropped.

Bruno takes oxygen from the older era and adds the oxygen of now. He's never sounded stronger. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall in the meetings when Mr. Mars and Mr. Paak discussed this project. Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable reaction. I wonder how many people of my generation are into this album like I am. I will be 70 this coming April, and I know about song lyrics that actually tell a story as I grew up in that era, the Miracles, Temptations, Intruders, Delfonics, just to name a few. I would go see Silk Sonic if they did a Vegas residency. I want a documentary on the making of this album. I do know some of the back story, based on interviews that Anderson and Bruno have done together, and just the tidbits from these interviews, let's me know that there needs to be documentary. I have made this comment on someone else's channel. I hope from my mouth to the appropriate people's ears, that could bring such a project to fruition, will happen quick, fast, and in a hurry. I do love seeing the reaction of this young man and others. There are so many video reactions about this album from across the racial spectrum, musicians, regular folks, etc. That's why there needs to a documentary about the making of this album.

I noticed the word "function" spelled as "Funk Shun" In the 1970's I went to a talent contest at my nieces high school. She is a great singer (and her daughter is even better!) and she was in the show. BUT! The BEST act was a group of kids, all black, and they were a dance group and they called themselves "Funk Tion" so, it isn't spelled the same BUT they did the take on the word first. By the way, they WON the entire competition.
