I did watch two of their concerts and they kept it pretty close, just changed it a little but they did a really good job and we do need more covers from them. Such a nice quiet surprise with this song, i needed it.

You know, since Silk Sonic recently has been doing covers of some older songs; such as Con Funk Shun's "Love's train", wouldn't it be interesting if they did a cover of their other song Fun Fun Fun? There are other groups too like Brick which has a single called "Ain't Gonna Hurt Nobody" and "Dazz"! ! ! There are so many of these bands out there that I'm confident that Silk Sonic can cover or remix Tastefully. These boys are talented anyway and I know that Bruno can handle it as well as Anderson on the drums. That live music just guarantees it!

You know we had some music back in the day .. I was a Confunksun fan way back to Secrets.. Michael Cooper slayed those vocals back then.. Bruno comes in follows the blueprint and brought back another hit..going back to the old flavor.. LB April 2022
This is a great cover. They have voices that fit this track, but you need to listen to the original. It blows this away.

About Grammys, by now you know they won a few that they were eligible for: r&b song, duo or group, record of the year & r&b performance. One they were not eligible for was album of the year, due to the timing of their album release, considered to be too late to make the deadline to be nominated.

This is a cool cover, but I still prefer the version that Dru Hill did. The original is such a great classic that is timeless.
I guess it is about preference; Dru Hill’s is a more stylized 1990’s version. Silk Sonic’s cover has more musicality and a freshness that most closely replicates the original. Love Silk Sonic’s version.

The music Silk Sonic is covering at the moment is the style of Bruno's audience. If they were covering Rap, then Anderson's fans would be screaming louder. No disrespect to Andy. His drumming is brilliant, his vocals add to every piece of work he's involved in. However, the passion I feel from Bruno's vocals brings back memories of good and bad relationships. Not only that but they are so damn fine. 🤗💞

It’s cool. But, I don’t think this remake was necessary. Some cuts are just custom made for the original artist.
