Her young generation don't have love in their music. She not used to people that can really sang singing about love and playing instruments. Old School forever. 👺🔥
Mike sang this with so much conviction because it was a true story. He and a band mate were dating the same woman he thought he was exclusive with. An when he called, the band mate was actually sitting there
Oh wow! I was in the 6th grade when this dropped and watched Soul Train with my sisters or if i was over my cousins house every Saturday. You're a living legend!
@@greganderson1445 Listen I used to dance with Jody Watley and then Jeff came in and we had a ball, They left and Shalamar was born. I'm not a legend, they are all these great artist of my generation. They don't make songs like this no more. Fortunately, Music never dies. But, I thank you
My older brother dated a Soul Train dancer, they invited me out with them all the time! Maverick's Flat on Crenshaw, lol! Jody Watley graduated from my high school, Dorsey. My brother was in love with her too!
Happy that I was born in 1964. I experienced some of the best music in the world. I learned to love a woman through the music. Everyone sang about love for a woman.
Yes this is an all-time great slow jam! Con Funk Shun is one of my favorite Groups! These brothers made some great hit records! Michael Cooper is an underrated Lead Vocalist!
He wrote this song because him and a bandmate dated the same woman this actually happened and he wrote this song. Crazy thing is the other guy also wrote they songs with him
I had a neighbor who was at least 7 years older than me and she loved this song and every time I hear it I think of her! Mind you I wasn’t a teen at this point and now I’m 52! This is classic material!!
Songs like this playing, thunderstorm outside, slow, hard, heavy strokes to the rhythm of your pulse.... TROUBLE!!!!!! That's the scene for this kinda music
I'm 65 years old and hear Loves Train on Satellite Radio 3 or 4 times a day. I kick it up a notch because all I can see is Michael Cooper on Soul Train wearing that white outfit and flashing that beautiful smile. I have been in love with ConFunkShun since 1983, and they never get old to me. Mr. Felton Pilate had it going on, too. I got to see them in June 2024 at the Fort Valley Peach 🍑 Festival in the great Peach 🍑 State of Georgia 🍑 my hometown. I wish my favorite band of all time much success and many blessings. I pray God takes care of them on these busy highways. I'll love you guys until the end. ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉
Most people don't know the history of that song. The two lead singers were dating the same lady. One wrote the music and one wrote the lyrics. And there was some beef between them.
😅OMG!..Not The "CLOSE UP INK PEN CLICK" For This 🔥Great Hit!😅😂..You Are Truly Funny But Right Too. This Is A Very Good Song. Good Lyrics, Great Music And Outstanding Vocals. Great Reaction Ashley.👍🏾💯👍🏾
Just went to see them in Redondo Beach California. His voice is just as strong today as he was back then. The group got off. Love 💘. Your reaction videos.
Con Funk Shun was a very underrated group. please consider reacting to "Tell it Like It Is" by Aaron Neville. I Guarantee you will put this one on the playlist. It's Fire!!
This original version is the BEST! Some classics should be left alone! I like Bruno Mars but NO! I love the host reaction and energy.❤️ I react just like her to Funky, Awsome music with real lyrics.❤️❤️ Love it!!
Exactly right. Grown and sexy music 👍👍👍 this is music from my era. We were truly blessed with exceptional music. We just didn't know it then because it was normal for our time
Mike Cooper and Confunkshun very underrated… pure music and vocals. Yes, thanking Bruno Mars for their well done version- this tune right here is tremendously legit
Back in the 70's and 80's record companies through money at the artist for them to produce masterpieces like this. This is before the executives would worry about cost, check out the movie spinning gold the story of Casablanca records, they had artist like donna summer, kiss, isley brothers, captain and tennile, the carpenters, parliment funkadelic, and many more...it was a golden age of music....I'm glad our younger generation is discovering these masterpieces of music.. some advice..tell your husband to build you a good 2 channel stereo, with tower speakers, and get yourself a turntable...here these songs in analog, they way they was recorded, and get the full effect of the music passing from right to left in the speakers (it's called imaging) bless you for keeping this music alive
OMG, Michael Cooper 😍 knew how to smile. Sometimes, when I'm feeling down, I go to my UTube Playlist and pull up the ConFunkShun file, and watch the Soul Train version so I can see his handsome face and gorgeous smile. Thank you for making this comment. I'm 65 now, and I'm still in love with Cooper. 😂❤🎉 that's my baby forever 💕

Con Funk Shun is so under-rated as a band! Everything they put out was a bona fide hit, and Michael Cooper's voice was unmistakable. Now I gotta go listen to Dru Hill"s version. They did a good job too.
I have watch you doing a reaction to this video several times for at least a week now. Ashley your reaction is everything. By the way there is a longer version of this song without the video. You made me subscribe. And i am showing it to my friends. Im 64 and remember when this song came out. Keep doing what you do.
This song is a true story of the lead singer and another member of the band finding out that they were seeing the same woman. You can tell that lead singer was truly heartbroken. You should hear Silk Sonic's cover. It's great!
Michael Cooper is my man💃🏽💋❤ I love his passion in his voice. Con Funk Shun still plays in the United States and the band gets better like fine wine🌌🌉🌌✌🏾💫❤
honey, michael cooper was everything in the 70s. but when he hit the 80s, it went to an entirely different level. i never saw ANYBODY get with the current atmosphere so fast. for a long time i didn't know it was the same person.
