Don't rob yourself of the way these cats intended you to experience this album. The dynamics they built into the album with the set list in the order it's presented add another texture that you don't get if you jump around from track to track. That's a lost art. These fools messed around and created one of the best albums of all time.

I’ve heard Bruno say during many interviews they don’t put a song out or leave studio until everyone agrees when he’s producing music. They absolutely know they killed this ENTIRE ALBUM. No questions asked. That studio had to be completely on Fire by the time they finished this album !!!!!!! I’m impressed they had the energy, vocals to do any interviews after this Album came out. Everyone worked their brains, vocals, instruments, lyrics …all of them had to stay focused…. Silk Sonic actually brings together 3 generations: Boomers like me who grew up with Motown and Disco and many soul/funk groups, Gen Xers, and now, hopefully, Millennials and younger.
Andy is drumming all tracks, except track 5 (drums Homer Steinweiss). And Tcat on the (space)bass. And Bruno on the guitar solo.
The instrumentation, arrangements (strings, rhythm, vocal) and production is truly incredible. Love this album.

This the one I hit repeat on over and over and over the first time I heard it. And I think Andy and Bruno are going back and forth during the verses where you can't hardly tell them apart. And then the 3-part harmony with Thundercat. Whew Chill-lay 😜😏🎶🎤 Oh and they mentioned in an interview that the album is to be experienced as a concert! I'm so ready for that!

Toney, Bruno's brother was on the drums in "smoking out the window" video. And Bruno being a multi instrumentalist, plays whatever is needed. I have seen him play the cello and he plays harmonica because of Stevie Wonder. He teaches himself to play whatever instrument his many idols play or do. This is what makes him great. Always paying homage. I love Bruno for that.

LOL. That was the bass and that was Thundercat on those runs. The whole song is sung in three-part harmonies with Andy, Bruno, and Thundercat. The music (the Silk Sonic sound) is rooted in the bass and drums-straight from none other than James Brown. In this song it is Andy (drums) and Thundercat (bass). Everyone talks about vocals, but the groove is in the instrumentation. Bruno and Bootsy adlibs are an added sauce.
I can hear the Earth, Wind, and Fire influence all over this record, from the music to the way they’re singing the lyrics. #fire 🔥 🔥🔥

I saw them on an interview say this is a three-way harmony with .Paak, Thundercat and Bruno. AP is on the drums. Might be Bruno on the guitar. Bruno's playing guitar on "Blast Off," too. This is my favorite, but the entire album is great.

I’ve watched every interview I can and they said Anderson played the drums on all the tracks bc he is the nastiest drummer ever. I know B played the guitar on every track. I’m pretty sure Babyface was just a producer on POAS, no background vocals. Thundercat is singing with them on this track in 3 part harmony. I think abrumo played the bass too on some tracks, but I know D mile plays bass too. Every freaking song is just so damn enjoyable! Can’t wait for all your reactions!

I saw an interview with Bruno and Anderson where they clarify the performance of their original groups prior to SILK SONIC. Anderson is the Drummer for all Silk Sonic music. Bruno always Praise how Andy kills the drums in whatever state of being he is sober or otherwise. 😂 They discuss and sing praises to each other’s gifts and those they go to for second opinions. Again , BEST COLLABORATION EVER !!!!! I think BOOTSY COLLINS was their first genus move. The rest is GREAT HISTORY.
Their interviews are so good! It’s refreshing to see the respect they have for one another. The one with Big Boy is hilarious!
I looked for ALL interviews as soon as I know they are together. Just finished watching a great one. Person asked them when /if they are going to do another song. They both cracked up laughing and told the interviewer they don’t want to even think about the studio again. They need to relax and unwind from what they just completed. The two of them started song “SMOKING” 5 year’s ago and went their separate ways until Covid. Being stuck Bruno called Anderson and they continued their bond/friendship from there.
I loved their interview with Big Boy. I watched it last Friday.

I listened to all the 70s influences in this song the first time, especially Bootsy's. Lately I keep thinking about Prince and Do Me Baby and the way his mind worked to craft something new. I just turned 55 on the 15th I know this music it was constantly played in the house and loud!
