Yes, horn section is smokin, considering that the original was unabashedly synth keyboards, & back then, sampling wasn’t yet available. So they really intentionally used a synthetic sound as thee sound for those lines. Someone responded that these tracks were also done with keyboards, which would be sampled sounds. Hard to tell, but sounds great!
@@zanohoriamazo1 So far I can hear drums and percussion, piano, horn section, rhythm guitar, bass, strings, and some synth. Bruno also uses the same cymbol roll audio in this song as he did for many other songs he produced in all of his albums. Here's the official instrumental that someone isolated from the vocals.

What i love about them is that they are so versatile. So it doesn’t matter if they sing or do different songs or genres together. That is what makes a great musician, that is what it starts with and that is what we need in today’s musik industry😌

I went opening night and I didn’t sit at all either! Just an amazing concert! This was the 3rd song in the set! Pretty much went bananas 😂

Love your reaction. So love the original by ConFunkShun. I remember in 1982 I heard the song for the 1st time at a party. I fell in love the song, lyrics, and especially its brass instruments. Now, 2022 my favorite band Silk Sonic drop a remake of Love Train. I don't like remakes of songs but I knew Silk Sonic would do it justice, and boy did they. All I have so say is WOW. I love Silk Sonic remake of Love Train especially the arrangements, and add ad libs were add to the song to give that Silk Sonic touch love. I am surely looking forward to seeing Silk Sonic live along with my mom, grandma, aunties, sisters, and girlfriends and I can't wait for another Silk Sonic cd. 😊

Silk Sonic took a song from 1982, just when bands started to incorporate synths into production, and took it back to 1975 where it belongs. I have great nostalgia for the original, but this cover is better.

Cover? I'm addicted to this cover so much, I'd like to see a trend of rearranging 80s funk and soul into a 60s/70s instrumentation. My vote is for The Whispers - It's a Love Thing. It's a long song, it's got a hell of a groove, there are low and high register parts for Andy and Bruno to shine, respectively, and there is room to rework the synths into guitar or piano.
Just imagine if Con Funk Shun kept the live brass instead of going with the synth instead? That would be one heck of a hard comparison between the two. But SS did the cover justice, they carved out their own sound, and it's an incredible cover.

Definitely Sparkle, Feel Me or Why Have I Lost You, but with Why Have I Lost You, they are REALLY gonna have to bring it, because the late Wayne Cooper killed that song. Anybody attempting that song, gotta bring more than their A game - they gotta bring the WHOLE alphabet AND the numbers for that song.

Hey Liza Their music reminds me of a funkier and cheekier version of the stylistics it is so perfect. I would love to see what they could do with “you make me feel brand-new“. Bruno could certainly hit the high notes and maybe Anderson could do some cheeky little bit in there as well. If it weren’t for Covid restrictions I would be on a plane from Australia right now straight to las Vegas to see them play live. Apparently as great as their records are they are sensational and so much better playing live from the reviews I’ve read. You could tell how tight they were as a group and how much they had been playing together in Vegas when they opened the Grammys ~ that 777 was mind blowing it was so tight and brilliant and they just made it look effortless. You could see Gaga in the front row trying to stop her head from exploding. Too good! Love These boys so much. Bringing back my childhood in the 70s ~ this is what good music sounds like….
