Nice reaction. Con Funk Shun went to Vegas about a month ago to see Silk Sonic. The guys and their wives were in a room waiting to meet them and Bruno burst through the door singing Love’s Train. Felton got to talk to Bruno about music for awhile and the group is going to cover one of Silk Sonic’s songs.
I can't wait for that. That's awesome.
Did Bruno and Anderson.Paak know they were waiting on them? Was it a surprise? If so, I should would like to see the expression on all there faces.
@@angiemorris1918 Everyone knew. The meeting was arranged by Bruno’s tour manager. There are a few pictures on Twitter or Instagram of Bruno and Andy with Felton Pilate and Michael Cooper in Vegas. Felton said they are wonderful guys and Bruno said that it was an honor to meet them.

Bruno Mars voice is like melting butter on hot pancakes!!! :o) This was originally done by CON FUNK SHUN and it was great, but there's something about Bruno's voice during the chorus that just kills it. This group gives me MAJOR "1970's summer in downtown Detroit" city vibes.

Silk Sonic appears to be having so much fun singing, dancing, and interacting with their audience. They pay such attention to detail with the whole vibe: wardrobe, lightshow, dancing, singing, instrumentation and even some extra surprises just to please the audience whether it's in person or listening to the record. They have been a breath of fresh air and a source of happiness for so many people when it's been greatly needed. Thank you, Bruno, Anderson and the whole crew for giving us this amazing band for all generations to enjoy. You have brought back soul, romance, humor and artistry. As a Boomer, I thought I was going to have to listen to the same Temptations and Four Tops songs for the rest of my life. Now, in addition to those groups I grew up with, I (and the rest of the world) have your amazing music and live performances to keep going back to as well.
I saw them last night for my birthday weekend. They were awesome!

I have been waiting for your reaction. I agree that Silk Sonic is so tight with the vocals, suits, music, personality and the steps. Bruno high note "I love you baby" never gets old. It sends chills every time. Anderson "Bet you do, bet you do, bet you do! I take that bet. That warm night red light side step was hot! I am glad that Silk Sonic gives you joy. You are a lovely lady and spirit.
I saw them in Vegas on April 2nd and Bruno mentioned that Con Funk Shun was in the audience. The show was incredible! One thing checked off the bucket list.

They have brought R&B back. I love Con Funk Shun, they are one of the greatest, and Michael Cooper is one of a kind. But what Bruno and Anderson are doing..man I'm glad they are doing it. I'm a Black man, and there is some of my people out here talking about how Bruno is culture appropriating, and I was quick to jump on them. But this was something special. And as for the competition part, MJ and Prince were on it lol. But they made up in 2008, from what I've read. But this was great
Bruno shows a an I tense love and respect for this music: evident when an album title is "Doo-wops and Hooligans" I never saw him as a "culture-vulture"
I agree, just so happy watching them. It’s fun, so professional and talented. Apparently they want to do a cover of one of Silk Sonic’s song. That would be fun to see. Real instruments played live, choreography, set design down to how they dress and change it up from the track, pure entertainment. Just makes me happy.❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥🐨👏🏼 just hope they never stop

I really love Silk Sonic and this performance took me right back to my teenage-years in the 70's: great singing, great musicians and synchronized dance-moves. A lot of nice memories came back to me. Wow, I liked that and don't want to come back to the present time yet. I'll try to stay in that period of my life for a while. So I will listen and look at this performance over and over again.
Yay I was waiting for this 😀 I saw this live and I thought they were going to do after last night. But I admit this fits live performance better I think. Bruno Mars can't help but to love black culture. His family instilled in him the music of Jackie Wilson, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, etc. I can go on and on... Bottom line God gave him a talent and he uses it well.
