Andy and Bruno are both phenomenal performers. Bruno said he watched Andy kill it when they were on tour together. They have different styles performing, but they still complement each other and bring out each other’s strengths. Saw the Vegas concert and wish I lived closer, because I would definitely go again-that’s how good it was!
Silk Sonic is my jam. They do the style authentically but exaggerate and elevate. Like, the choice of words is so deliberate so as to be, "This is the 70's and 80's, bro." And with Bruno Mars leading the way, they have silky sonics. 😎
Good point, as Andy in interviews has mentioned how Bruno pushed him vocally. I think he could tell Andy could get next level because of his skill set & musicianship combined. They both have a thing for detail, comin at it different ways, but wit a lot of common ground as well, mainly deep love for the genre & the ability bro nail it, & sometimes elevate it. Likening Andy to James Brown is understandable, but Rick James is a stretch. Rick had a powerful voice, kinda rich, especially singin ballads like Fire & Desire wit Teena Marie. Raspy singers form back in the day would be like Bobby Womack, Teddy Pendergrass, McFadden & Whitehead, Jerry Butler & even Jermaine Jackson was raspier as a teenager than he was later on.

I appreciated Anderson's wig when they accepted their record of the year and he was shaking it playfully. That was so funny and cool at the same time. Nothing cooler than a person who doesn't take himself seriously even with all the talent he has. Bruno and Anderson are just cool artists and fun persons.
