lets be honest.. we have all done this.. "You mean the Elsa Jean fleshlight doesn't actually come with a real Elsa Jean!?? I want a refund in like 5-7 days. I am going to continue to make sure im dissatisfied with this product for a little longer"
I would always turn the objective focus ring until I’d get a sharp image, then continue to rotate until the image blurs slightly. Then rotate back until I’d get the sharpest image and then stop. Then I’d do that with the eyepiece focus right and repeat as necessary. Going past then back was to confirm the best focus.
I recommend people to use the daylight filter cap, the cap with the tiny hole, over the objective lens so close range objects will be in focus and they can then change the diopter to match their eyesight and then they should take off the daylight filter and then change the focus ring to in close focus or infinity or anything in between.
very optimistic of you to assume the type of person that would call you because they dont know how to focus their units are the type of person that would watch a youtube video 😂but worth a try .
My opinion on autofocus. One less mechanical thing to fail. Also imagine doing something critically important like taking a life or death shot and it decides to try and auto focus itself at that critical moment. That’s my best guess. I don’t mind manual focus at all. I just set to infinity and adjust on the go with my $70 Amazon iris. Was worth every penny. Aloha 🤙🏽
Step 1: Look at tree. Focus objective (far from eyeball lens) to a tree. Step 2: Make tree very clear with diopter (close to your eyeball) lens. Step 3. Look at stars. Focus diopter on stars. This is infinity focus. That's it. You're done.
"Excuse me, yes I just received my device but this one has a issue so i need to return it for another, whenever I turn them on it doesn't make that cool electrical whine like they do in the movies."
Please tell me this is a joke😂 Do people not even do a modicum of research before dropping $3k+?? I saw the post yall made on r/nightvison where dude tried cleaning his image intensifer😂😂😂
It took me over a year to finally decide it was time to buy. Being european, I read up about generations, export restrictions from the US that would limit my choices, housing, lenses and tubes along with important specifications like signal to noise, blems, gain and how tubes are damaged by misuse. In the end I got a Optronics housing, with a OKish lens and a blemmed photonis 4g rather than picking a clean NNTV4 tube. I figured the lens and blemmed tube would match up well for my needs. Waste of money getting better lenses with a such a tube. It's a perfectly usable unit and bought for a great price. Only then did I spend the four digits.
Good news is everyone I talk to about night vision who may be interested in it someday I try to give them the rundown how it works the downfalls and the positives. I explain it all the way from start to finish with lasers red dots, having IR lights on or not and the effect it has with passive/active aiming. I explain how one may use it close or far. If I get a chance I actually show them and let them see.
All jokes aside tho if you don't remember me I'm gunna be kinda upset and gunna sell my setup for thousands less than I paid... and post it on social so you know you should have remebred me
LAMO, the best video opening of this channel yet
lol thanks man.
Lamo?
Very happy about the unit I got from you guys. You provide the NVG, I provide the activities!
glad to hear it.
The autofocus and having to tell people about setting to infinity or focal rings. I can't imagine fellas but thank you for enduring!
all in a days work.
As someone who deals with customer support for their own products...yep
lets be honest.. we have all done this.. "You mean the Elsa Jean fleshlight doesn't actually come with a real Elsa Jean!?? I want a refund in like 5-7 days. I am going to continue to make sure im dissatisfied with this product for a little longer"
LOL the last mock phone call would be terrifying.

Not a bad plan

tru
It took me .1 seconds to realize I had to focus the objective lens when I first put them on. Make sure to remember to remove your lens caps as well. 😂
good man.
Right. I never even read the instructions on my first PVS14. It's really not a complicated piece of equipment as the user goes.

Yup I just picked up a couple of them myself
You are one of the dumb ones
yes, I agree simplicity is key.

It does not, all you have to do is rub it on the side like a genie lamp.
