Brother, did you just say Katanas are the best for combat? Hell yeah! Purchase justification!. I'm not even going to question that statement and am going to run around at our next night shoot shouting best for combat.
Very good video! my only exposer to NV was in the army. You're spot on, when I was under nods after a while I could understand what I was seeing and could read the area well, but my brain couldn't read it the same way as I could read day time. I learned this when we had done a raid at night and come sunrise I was re learning the area again. Performing under nods is definitely a skill and I appreciate your videos because I am in the market. The extent of my knowledge is only what I was issued and how too use it. I really like the katanas but honestly ill probably just get PVS-14s because manual gain is very important too me it saved my ass a few times. Look out for an order soon!
@@kevin11288 honestly, a complete product run down would be nice. It would be nice to see what the image actually looks like helmet mounted and as a clip on in front of an optic. What magnifications are the most optimal? What are competitive thermals to compare it to (if any)? It would be cool to have some real use footage.
These guys are g2g. Ordered from them literally a week ago and imho it doesn't get more transparent than their site. Plus you don't necessarily have to talk to someone if you don't want to, as you can just see the exact specs from the site on any unit.
@@Tattlebot I've had three pairs that were DOA. At least two that took my money and never delivered. A couple that had so many dead spots, spots in general or couldn't focus. I had one shipped to me that wasn't what I ordered at all. And beyond the money and time associated, getting a refund from each and every one of these purchases have been an ordeal that took weeks if not months.
All domestic. I won't name names. Maybe "ripped off" is the wrong term. Having to do charge backs, spending a lot of money on return shipping and waiting months to get my money back seems to be the standard. At least after digging through forums I know I'm not alone. I'm going to dig deep with my future purchases. That's for sure. Been watching custom night vision for the last couple hours, looks promising. I'll be doing my homework on them.

I wanted the arnvgs but opted for katanas. Glad I did, they're pretty good
They’re all good options.. yall just made me choose lol.
@@kevin11288 but they don't have manual gain. Are you going to have a video soon on the new samurai and manticore?
@@nickadkins7765 yeah when I have one lol
Unless you're jumping out of planes with nods then yeah the katanas are more than durable enough

So sick of getting ripped off by night vision dealers. So many pit falls. It's worse than buying a car. Are these guys legit?
How did you get ripped off?
