Other than the 31A the DTNVS MG with 24UAH L3 tubes is unbeatable. Ran 31 alphas for years and years and love the Dtnvs MG. Love how many accessories are available as well. Was hoping that some of the others like the MH1, etc would be better but so far I’ve seen shit quality and missing components with some of these newer less tested housings. This Manticore looks solid though. So does the v2 Steele housing. Would love to see a sub 1 lb complete housing from a company like ACT made of crazy high end stuff like Carbon, 3D printed titanium, lithium aluminum, etc.
Can the Manticor run with the external only to save on weight of the front? Why not have auto and manual? It is not too much work to do this on a circut board...
Got one as soon as they came out. I love it as I like nocturn. But the infinity stop sucks plastic and moves and breaks. Nocturn said they will switch to metal at some point.
Spot on. As matter of fact, never store any night vision with the battery in. Even with the lens caps on in the safe, if you forget to shut it off, you can get hosed. Always battery out before putting it away.

Hey I know you do mostly NVG based reviews/videos and I love them, I’d really like to see a video on your opinion on bump vs ballistic helmets and why you choose the option that you do:)
Pretty easy to answer this from all the videos I have watched lately. Its mainly due to the weight of the helmet. A ballistic helmet weighs alot more than a plastic bump helmet. I have both. If shtf my nods will be removed fron my training bump helmet to my ballistic helmet. Just my two cents here.
Just ordered this housing along with L3 tubes. This will be my first set of Nods. Cant wait to get them!!!!

We build these with autogated tubes so yes.
