Today Mr.Brooks objected 99 times, said “grounds” 112 times, and asked if something was “fair to say” 117 times
Are you sure….those numbers seem kind of low 😂
😂😂😂
He also spent a total of 73 minutes shuffling papers before asking “do you recall where you was persitioned at”

We should change laws to allow victims to enact punishment to all those who are found guilty.
(State) Was Mr Brooks driving? (Def) I don’t consent to that name, nor do I know anyone by that name. (Judge) Mr Brooks do u have any questions? Yes ur honor 😂 classic

This mofo apologized to the court for his behavior one day and then proceeded to act just as bad, or worse, for the remainder of the trial! 🤦🏾♀️
Yes because he wasn’t raised that way. Don’t you understand that? He’s a God fearing man
@Materialgirl_3 what you said!!
@@Materialgirl_3You saw that Bible he carried with him every day. Remember what he said to Judge Dorow, " It's not A Book it's THE book"..."But how many people live by it though" 🤯🫣🤷🏾
She let him get away with a lot
He doesn’t know what hearsay is.
PROSECUTION ASKING THE OFFICER: “After the vehicle ran over a bunch of people, did the driver stop and check on the people?” DARRELL BROOKS: “Irrelevant.” Wow, what a cold hearted individual.
Or when he says irrelevant when parents are answering questions about their injured children…as if they don’t matter.
He basically proved the states entire case for all of the hit and run charges. And that was his fastest objection because he opened the door to that question by asking about break lights and realized how much he’d messed up.
Sociopaths are like that
Diz dat duh doodishil determination
I’m glad he’s rotting in prison, I’m just sorry the taxpayers he’s already cost so much, have to feed him the next forty years.
This guy is in his glory and is living for this right now. He’s brought out of his cell, he’s at the center of everybody’s attention, and all those people whose lives he changed forever are being brought in for him to “examine” at his pleasure… Each day, for hours, people whose legal educations span years or decades tailor their knowledge to be as responsive as possible to his legal gibberish. Eventually though when this circus ends, his ego is going to collapse as he realizes that whether he agrees or not, he’s inmate Brooks who’s never going out free into the world again. His lack of remorse and basic human decency when interacting with his victims are absolutely chilling.
Well said! He's frightening.
I live for that moment!
Yep. But when is it's all over, those cell doors close and he's rotting in prison.
YES👌👍👏👏👏👏🤸♀️🤸♀️🤸♀️.
He feels like he is somehow above those who’s lives he desecrated. He is earning his place in incarceration for the rest of his life wasting yet more of taxpayers money. He is a Pathetic Human.
Has anyone else noticed that he seems to be intimidating towards women but keeps his questions short when a man is on the stand. He likes to intimidate women but is afraid of men.
Yes! And he seems to think if he honked his horn, he was allowed to hit pedestrians. He didn't have to stop. But he abided by flimsy barricades.
If I had a catastrophic brake failure, and I had to choose striking pedestrians or a barricade, I'd choose a barricade. I'd find an off ramp.
If you've ever encountered a person on a crime spree, I anticipate and suspect it's bad decisions compounding. Like being strapped to a comet.
I noticed this too! He seems intimidated by males and kind of talks down to females
@@montecarlo5329 even the way he stares down the judge...
Yes, funny there are a lot of intimidating men in prison!!

I know why didn't the judge tell him to stop saying that and interrupting
“Yes you have shaved your head.”
Officer Schneider is freaking awesome.
She was great, I loved her answers!
She was wonderful. Every answer was so carefully crafted to prove to the jury she knew EXACTLY who the driver was and what he had done. It was remarkable.
Loved Officer Schneider!!! She was fantastic!
She’s also gorgeous
I feel so sorry for the victims and their families having to have the POS talk down to them and acting like its them on trial and not him. Absolutely disgusting!
I agree. I hope the jurors give him what he deserves, life imprisonment if not the death penalty.
Couldn't agree more
How can he look them in the eyes? This is so sad.
Well he’s not fit for our society. What do you expect?
At least they won’t have to sit through multiple appeals, from the death penalty. 😢 Thats all I can find to comfort myself, and maybe them. I’m sure he will try to be “famous” so the families can take every dime he makes. He’s truly disgusting.
The lady prosecutor with the dark hair has had it with this POS. The gloves are off, but at the same time she is aware to be careful because the defendant is trying for a mistrial.
I agree. She looks like she isn't playing.
Prosecution is doing a fantastic job of allowing the Mr. B to convict himself by allowing him to bring up statements and evidence they did not under examination. The judge is also walking a thin line! I believe her patience and judiciary experience are being tested all day, everyday in this trial. The Prosecution and Judge are doing their jobs under the law!! It's about time we see more of this!!!
Yep, she is having to force a smile but that she is doing it while handing him rope is probably helping.
Agreed. I'm replying to this almost 2 weeks later and she finally makes a statement regarding it and how the comments he makes. She is the district of attorney so I'm sure she knows that she has to remain professional. I made this comment on another video but usually at the sentencing the victims and families get to make victim impact statements and that is going to be very interesting to watch and I hope they speak down to him and make him feel horrible and the good thing is he can't speak back. I believe this gets to happen at any sentencing trials that has victims but I am not sure, I guess we will see unless anyone knows for sure?
for a "sovereign citizen" he sure depends a lot on the US constitution to protect him
Typical Sov Cit BS...they want all the protections and perks that come with being a citizen protected under the constitution, but none of the duties, responsibilities or laws that come with being a citizen protected under the constitution.
Its annoying me that everytime the state says “objection…” he immediately says “GROUNDS, GROUNDS” and doesnt even let them finish their objection
He is such a little boy.
Ughhhh right??? He started that on day 2 and continued allllll the way through and it made me sooo frustrated each and every time he said it
He’s doing it on purpose…to annoy the Judge, the Prosecution, and to manipulate the Jury into thinking he’s distinguished!! He’s stroking his own narcissistic ego!! There’s no rule in Court that says you can’t yell “GROUNDS” during or after an objection. This is entertainment to him!! He’s simply having a great time at everyone else’s expense…especially the victims and the witnesses!! 😮
OR when it's overruled he will say grounds are times..WTH? Grounds are
b/c it's proper
My favorite part is always when he says “I haven’t had time to go through it all.” Like…you’re in jail….how do you not have an abundance of time?
It would be more fair to say (haha) "why haven't you taken this time to prepare yourself" since he tried to ask the lady officer that, but over and over complains that he can't do paperwork fast enough, read paperwork quickly enough, has sooooo much paperwork in front of him and loses it, or also cannot understand basic English like the word "divert" ......
He was only given access to the evidence a few days before the trial started.
@@SugarBunny119 yeah but that’s his fault he decided get rid of his attorneys who had been with him the whole case until like a week before trial. Like maybe he should have thought about that and I don’t think he has a right to complain
@@SugarBunny119 he fired his attorney. Firing your attorney does not give you the right to delay proceedings due to you being unprepared. He had ample time to fire his attorney before the trial.

Poor lady in red is shaking from being so anxious being questioned by someone who could have almost killed her and ruined her ability to live a better life physically. Disgusting
Gosh I saw that I feel so much for her and everyone who has to endure this douches questions. At least he's starting to speed up his cross a bit.
I know, I saw that, too! It was really disturbing and sad how anxious his bogus questioning made her.
I thought she should have answered, "No, I didn't catch your license plate. You literally had just run me over in your SUV. It would be more than fair to say that I was in shock."
My heart broke for her. Then I was infuriated when he faked being teary eyed at the end of her testimony!
Ikr! I hope she can heal now, emotionally, knowing he will never again be able to hurt anyone else.
My heart breaks for her and all the families and survivors ❤❤❤
He knows by now that yelling GROUNDS does not benefit or gain him anything (he never presses for further explanation), so the only reason he does it is to be disruptive and disrespectful and to taunt the prosecution. Luckily this is only hurting his reputation and credibility with the jury.
Absolutely. Extremely obnoxious, the same way a toddler yells out, "Nuh-uuhh!!!!"
@@DaniHGirl 😂😂
It blows my mind that even though he's been through the criminal court process numerous times, he doesn't even possess the very basic knowledge of how proceedings work. When the prosecuting team objects & gives their reason ie relevance, argumentative, compound question, THAT reason is the grounds. The only time the prosecutors don't immediately state their grounds is when it comes to Brooks' questions regarding jurisdiction, nonsense about plaintiff, etc. The prosecutors typically don't list their grounds is bc the judge ruled that type of questioning or discussing is off limits. He continuously & erroneously throws out grounds as if that applies to the judge bc he actually thinks the judge has to justify & explain her rulings. She does not nor does any other judge. Their ruling on an objection is final.
Many times, he’s demanding “grounds” WHILE they’re giving them to him 🙄
LMAO his argument at 3:04:07 is hilarious. Hilariously bad. “Would it be fair to say you have not seen the alleged defendant shave his head?”
“I have not witnessed him actively shaving his head.”
LMAO. There’s no way he thinks this is a legit argument
😂 I loved the witness and his responses
I'm just now watching this and her facial expressions had me laughing so hard. Seriously, dude?!
“Do you know what that crash was?” Witness: “the vehicle hitting the band”. Way to go to ensure you point out your own evilness. What a genius. 🙄

That dear father held his arms in a way to keep himself beating the crap out of this sick sadist …. My heart out to that dear father and kids
he did an amazing job keeping it together, my heart goes out to him and his family
I started a drinking game to take a shot everytime he says "grounds" and I'm just now getting out of the hospital for alcohol poisoning.
Equal effect if you drink a shot every time he says "fair to say" 😂
Shouting “Grounds” continuously is so embarrassing! Just everything. I’m so sorry to the victims and this community. You deserve more dignity for your pain 😞.
Right, he thinks he sounds so smart. It’s embarrassing. He thinks he has the judge in the palm of his hand.
Especially when he does it literally right after the prosecution specifies the objection, or interrupts them as they’re trying to specify… just makes him look like he doesn’t know what the word means. Which is certainly consistent with his other behavior, like labeling everything as hearsay for some reason.
You’re so right about that. As the trial goes on, he yells “Grounds!” so hatefully. The prosecution can clearly state the reason (aka the grounds for the objection) and he will still yell out “Grounds!” He also obviously doesn’t know what hearsay is. He just shows his ignorance when claiming hearsay to the objection. Brooks is just a vile and disgusting piece of garbage. They way he treats the witnesses, especially if they’re women, is just revolting.
I strongly believe 90% of the time he objected to the prosecution’s questioning was for retaliation only.
A d half the time he is saying when the prosecution is literally stating the grounds
First, he’s hard of hearing but then brings attention to audio that no one else hears 😩, AND THEN, he doesn’t consent to being called Mr. Brooks but in the next breath, answers to it… sad, yet entertaining! 😩
The audacity of this terrible human being is unbelievable. I’m sorry for the victim and their families.
You mean SUB human being!!👹
THAT defendant sitting there is a MONSTER, not a human being
It’s terrible. And he gets to question the victims and witnesses. It must be so traumatic for them.
Human being? Really?
They always say that they're gonna get thirst but I think this time he will get his usually it doesn't happen and I'm not a believer but this time I think you'll get his! Thank God

Wait just a minute…. Did he seriously just apologise for his behaviour in court “because his mother didn’t raise him like that” ???? Does he not see the irony in what he just said?!?! Soooo she didn’t raise him to be disrespectful BUT running people over with his car and injuring/killing them is completely fine and not worth apologising or taking responsibility for?!?! Oh this guy is the epitome of a narcissist if I ever seen one. The joy he gets out of this, is sickening and extremely hard to watch!
100% his mom screamed at him over the phone for acting a fool in court

@@JamezGrimm I thought the same thing!! She clearly never told him to shut up, case closed either!
@@JamezGrimm exactly. She called him a caged bird, ref Maya A. poem.
@@JamezGrimm He’s definitely a byproduct of his upbringing. Mommy’s little angel. It’s sick how most parents of narcissists continue to coddle their adult children after the do horrific things to others. Then there’s the parents who are also narcissists themselves. My father was an abusive narcissist and so was my grandmother. No matter what awful things he did and how many people he hurt, she was always there to bail him out and make excuses for him because she didn’t want her own life to be inconvenienced in any way. I’m beyond thankful that God gave me an incredible mother who ensured that I understood that actions have consequences and raised me right. One of my first words was actually “consequence” lol. Never once did she make excuses for me, and I understood that I was to respect her rules, not just out of respect to her, but also out of respect to myself.
Proper and consistent discipline is so extremely important for a child’s healthy development. If children don’t learn that their bad actions have consequences as early as possible, this is the kind of outcome you get. Brooks’ mother created a monster, and continues to encourage his behavior by pandering to him and continuing to make him feel like he has more worth and is more special than anyone else. He doesn’t think he can do any wrong because that’s what his upbringing taught him. I won’t, and don’t, blame his mother for the lives he took, as that was his choice and his alone, but she absolutely was a vital part of him ending up in his position. The fact that people like her and people like my grandmother can keep making excuses for their adult abusive narcissist child’s abhorrent behavior is beyond my comprehension.
I LOVED when this judge took a little slight jab at Brook’s one day in reference to his mother testifying, saying she knew his mother would “OBEY” him if he wanted her to be there, based off of his prior remarks in regards to his mother doing whatever he wanted her to do. I don’t think Brooks even caught it, which made it even better lol
He thinks these “gotcha” questions where someone doesn’t remember verbatim what they said in a report a year ago is somehow going to buy him an acquittal.
Not to mention most of these reports are summaries of what the people said and were not written by the person themselves.
Some of the questions were written by attorneys, but they weren't finished.
The audacity for him to ask the one man why he didn’t stop to help anyone. Why didn’t you just STOP Darrell???
It's a shame the witness couldn't respond and ask him why HE didn't stop and try and help the injured..he's a disgusting human being well psychopath..
Rewatching this trial for the 3rd time. It’s such a unique trial for the worst reasons. The victims are many and I hope they find healing. The defendants behavior, long before he committed murder, and during his trial are despicable and he deserves no other notoriety or response.
I am rewatching it for the second time. The difference at this point is that I have read and listened to people / videos / books explaining the sovereign citizen ideology. I had listened to the expression "I accept for value and return for value" several times, but I didn't have any idea of what lies behind it, the meaning of it all. So sovereign citizens don't pay taxes and write this to "force" the government to take the money from the straw-person account, where there is a million dollars for every single baby who is born in the USA. I knew that sovereign citizens opposed to have their names styled all in capitals, but I didn't know about the thought (or the non-thought, the conspiracy theory in any case) behind that. Having a better grasp about these issues makes me recognise what he is saying better.
Yet it still all makes no sense ... I rest easily knowing he is prison for the rest of his life. I sent to MURDERER a letter that I sign and enclosed a penny with the statement hope this half cent helps you because the victims get the other half. It was returned to me. He refused it. LMAO
@@LisaSimpsonRules I’m not sure if you’ll see this, but I am rewatching this now. what does the “I accept for value in return for value” mean? It doesn't work. He's still on trial. Everybody stands around until 6:25:59 when the jury is seated. Top reasons a person honks their horn
1. Alert another driver or pedestrians
2. Road Rage
More simply: ANGER!
3. Fun
If they see someone they know 😊
So, Brooks honked his horn to warn people to get out of the way? That's like an armed gunman shouting, "I GOT A GUN!" as he strides into a crowded room, shooting.
I don't see how he thinks that's going to help him. As a prosecutor I would argue in my closing that if he insists he was honking the horn, then clearly he was aware that he was somewhere he shouldn't have been and was hitting people. He never even tried to get off the route by turning down one of the side streets.
"If you dont get out of the way, you're consenting to getting hit by my car!"
Geez! Miss Opper is right about Brooks' questions. They're absolutely ridiculous and such a waste of time. His questions NEVER help out his case. They just reveal his stupidity.

But he still doesn’t understand the meaning of “hearsay” 🙄 I bet the judge & prosecution really feel like explaining it to him but don’t want to because then he might actually learn some effective objection grounds.
I like how the officers direct their answers to the jury instead of him. They know that really bothered him lol
That is what they are supposed to do. He eventually figures that out
I wish ALL of the witnesses and officers did that because it really did drive him crazy. The one thing narcissists absolutely hate is being ignored or being dismissed. By the witnesses and officers directing their answers to the jury, he knew he was being ignored or dismissed. I know that’s petty of me, but I don’t care. He doesn’t deserve any recognition, nor any sympathy of being ignored or dismissed.
@@janicewingfield5245 yes. It's actually what you're supposed to do in court, as well, and what police court training is (notice almost every officer in the trial consistently turns to the jury to answer). It was great to watch how upset he got when he complained about it to one male officer (I don't remember which), who ignored him, and then the second he asked the next question, the officer turned almost facing the jury, as if to mock him just a bit.
That really got under his skin!! It hit him in his narcissistic ego and made him feel irrelevant.
Every witness should have done that.
He makes me sick. Especially the part when he questioned the witness and brought up how there were sooooo many band members and tons of people yet it’s “fair to say” not that many got hit, killed or injured. Basically he’s saying it could have been way worse so we should thank him. Delusional indeed. 😢
I got sick of that attitude as well. He seems self-heroic that he didn't plow into every single person from the start of the parade to the end.
If he wants to go that route why stop there? Wisconsin has 5.9 million other people that he in fact did not run over.
I m sure the jury were listening to every word….. so was the judge, she threw the book at him
When Darrell Edward Brooks Junior tells the court/judge “I do not consent to being called that name nor do I know anyone by that name” how does he get away with that?
It is a blatant lie to the Judge considering there’s an exhibit at his arrest, where he identifies himself as “Brooks first name Darrell”
I guess he doesn’t realize he is exposing himself as a Liar to the court claiming he doesn’t know anybody by that name..
The patience of the Judge and the prosecution is commendable… I could not tolerate his nonsense.
The best I can figure is that Brooks is experiencing a split personality whereas, while acting as his attorney, he is the attorney of Darrell Brooks Jr. and therefore not Darrell Brooks Jr. He claimed he was a "third party interlocutor" as he repeatedly referred to himself. Just more legal jargon he read somewhere. For his appeal, he's going with having legal representation, if he's even granted one.
What do you mean how is that allowed? How exactly would he be stopped? And the jury decides the facts. So he is allowed to lie and the jury makes that determination.
It's his trial strategy. He has to be allowed to do as he chooses.
Once he even objected to be called "he"... 🤣
I guess it's a psychological defense to distance himself as much as possible to his criminal self, in the hopes everyone else would, too
@@leechan1 That's very insightful, and I think he thought that it would work, too. I think he thought that he could convince the jury that some alter-ego, mentally ill version of himself was responsible for the act, or that the car had somehow malfunctioned and he was heroically beeping the horn, trying to warn people of the danger that he couldn't help. I honestly think that kind of gaslighting used to work on his mama and grandma, and that's why he thought the rest of us were as sympathetic of his storytelling. Boy, was he wrong! I think he was honestly surprised by the verdict and the sentencing, believing right up until the end that he would go free at the end of it all.
My heart breaks for the woman in red. She is shaking and has to look the monster who ran her over and answer his ridiculous questioning. She did a great job and I wish her well. DB is the most narcissistic person I have ever witnessed. I hope karma gets him in prison.

Yup, he thinks he’s got her right where he wants her. When in fact she is just letting him hang himself. Tho, I do think she has helped him a lil to much.
What is the purpose of constantly saying “grounds” when the plaintiff attorneys always give a reason for objection. This man spews jargon with no comprehension of what it means
Poor Nicole keeps looking at the judge for support. She is panicking and shaking. He asked same questions multiple times, judge should have been more strict with him, cause she is extremely traumatized and clearly fears Brooks.
I agree. In her attempt to avoid a successful appeal, she inadvertantly allowed the witnesses, victims, prosecution and family members present to be disrespected and retraumatized to the extreme. I get why she handled him with kid gloves. I get it. Many tend to get defensive when I point this out. But she was far too lenient with him throughout, imo.
@@gena4638 While I mostly agree with how she handled this case, and I understand why she went out of her way to protect the defendants rights, I think she definitely could have put him in his place more when it came to him questioning his victims. They deserve protection too.
He says "grounds" AFTER they've already said the grounds. And he says "good morning" to the witnesses like he thinks he's a lawyer and not a POS child murderer.
I don't think he really understood what "grounds" means. As the trial progressed, the prosecution would state the grounds, and one time, he even said, "It has to be more than 'irrelevancy'". I think he thought it was another one of his "magic incantations" sovcits believe in. He also seemed to think "hearsay" was some catch all objection, because at least once he objected "hearsay" to when the question "Did you hear the SUV beep its horn?"
Seeking to exclude a witness because they have a single prior conviction is the height of irony. He's questioning the credibility of others, but expects his to be automatically accepted? He himself has MULTIPLE priors.
He says (and acts) like he has no idea what to do in a court room but his record says otherwise. Maybe he should have been listening to his previous attorneys in previous cases so he’d know what he was doing lol
And then when he was presenting his case in chief, he called a witness that had 7 convictions, which does make the guy with I think a misdemeanor that much more ironic.
That's how it works. It goes to the witness and whether they are credible.
It's disgusting that he thinks Mr. Greene's misdemeanor how ever many years ago is going to make him less credible after trespassing. Excuse me sir, you drove through a parade....pound sand! His creepy little hands and then him asking Mr. Greene if the reason he wanted to leave the parade was because they heard gun shots! No Mr. BRookes it's because you ran over my children. This guy is a Dolt!
For those asking what was "stricken" from the records, it was the video of Officer Philipps speaking with Brooks's ex girlfriend. The reason it was stricken was due to a comment Erika made regarding a previous DV incident where Brooks allegedly ran over her foot. The judge had previously ruled prior matters would be inadmissible in this case. So instead of redacting it and potentially drawing more attention to it, they struck it.
I think the real reason they don’t want to bring this up in court is the fact she was still a teen (
The way he talks like he has some authority after killing those people is just insane. He acts like they owe him respect?!

Only a complete narcissist can think that they don't need a lawyer for a criminal trial
Especially after you murder 6 people and hurt dozens! Allegedly that is.
In a way, you could say brooks didn't have any choice. A real lawyer can not file nonsense or frivolous motions, or ask irrelevant questions. Brooks case has no real defense. So brooks is going for a ridicules defense that a real lawyer would not be allowed to do. "The court has no jurisdiction", "I beeped my horn, so it was OK to run them over"
I'm looking forward to the narcissistic rage that will ensue post guilty verdicts.

@LeeLee-tw2wo I heard it. Its right after they accidentally take the video down.
“ I definitely don’t want Erika Patterson released “ 😂 he couldn’t wait to get her back on the stand for no reason whatsoever. It’s funny because when detective Casey was called the 2nd time regarding him being the head detective on the case. Mr Brooks didn’t like that and I believe he said “ there was more than enough time to ask him all of the questions when he was up there last time “. They should have told him the same thing about Detective Guth and Erika Patterson 😂😂 I don’t think this demon heard himself speaking sometimes
They did tell him…. He ignored it.
@@skyehamm9629No they didn’t tell him that. The prosecutor told the judge that they would want an offer of proof as to why he would need to call those witnesses again when they were already up there. I agree. All of the officers, detectives and victims did an amazing job testifying. It personally irked me when witnesses would call him 'sir' just because he's a piece of garbage who doesn't deserve that title (I wish they all would've called him by his name and 'you' since he hated it) but it didn't take away from their testimony at all. In fact, it spoke volumes to their character-being courteous even when its undeserving.
The prosecution thought a lot about who they were calling to the stand. They tried to be compassionate here, and probably they thought they would succeed in convicting him anyway with so much testimony and so many videos.
