- In Day 11 of the trial, the prosecution shows doorbell camera video of Darrell Brooks, who showed up at Daniel Rider's home after the attack at the Waukesha Christmas Parade in November 2021. Rider let Brooks into his house, gave him a coat and made him a sandwich. Brooks said he was homeless and needed to use a phone to contact Uber, though Brooks called his mother. The video shows Brooks getting arrested.

That was a pretty creepy part of the questioning, I thought. Mr Rider is an exceptionally kind person with nothing to be ashamed of. Brooks seemed to be prodding about for something to make Mr Rider feel guilty of, and that is because Brooks is a predator.

He just wanted to help someone. Bless him and keep him safe at all costs. This is how people should treat people.
Unfortunately, this is how people get taken advantage of & potentially harmed. Guys like this piece of garbage "Brooks" make it hard for naturally caring humans to act in a natural caring way.

Democrats really make me angry they removed the possibility of real Justice!
Brooks slaughtered children! That is unforgivable. If he got the DP, he would have to suffer on Death Row for a Decade, then get Lethal Injection. Monsters like Brooks is the reason for the use of the DP.
Exactly bc he had just gotten back from hunting and had guns sitting out in his home! Brooks could very easily grabbed one and it could of gone badly. Never let a stranger in ur home especially when something is suspicious like them being barefoot and not dressed appropriately for the weather. Just like a guy wearing a long trench coat in the summer.
@@Thing1DadaThing2Kiki the young man said that he asked Brooks to come around the outside of the house to the kitchen door so that he would not be able to see the guns and hunting gear by the front door. So he’s not totally naive.🙂
I knew what kind of people were out there at half of this man’s age. This man is way too old to not know that life is dangerous and his parents never taught him right from wrong and that’s why he let this murderer in their home. Like this dude is a Square and he’s lucky to be alive and that’s why he looks so deathly afraid right now because he’s straight Snitchin and if Darrell makes one phone call he can give this address and have dude annihilated. I’m not making any threats or nothing like that but I’m just saying that look at how many kingpin drug dealers there are running the show from behind Barz. You think someone in jail isn’t making big boy moves lol you’re just another Karen that doesn’t know anything about the criminal world if I was this young man I would be a little bit scared no bullshit I would be scared to death and I would so drive around with his hunting gun and his car. Because he don’t know what some of these crazy people can do. You don’t know shit obviously you let some dude in your front side door without asking for any ID or anything. I hope everybody in Waukesha learns a big lesson from all of us and stop living like your town is so far from Milwaukee and that people from Milwaukee cannot just quickly hop on a bus line and get to Waukesha within an hour and don’t think that someone from Milwaukee cannot drive to Waukesha within 15 minutes. Look at how many crimes happen in Waukesha from people out of the city. Most crimes that happened as far as robberies and Waukesha happen from people that don’t even live in Waukesha. Yes Waukesha people are great I was born and raise their for 42 years and don’t think that because your town is 80,000 people that bad stuff doesn’t happen lol Camden New Jersey is smaller than Waukesha and they are the death capital of the country lol well maybe not anymore but they were a few years ago
The irony that the boy scout is the one that can identify him, his moms call, and had so much information to give to the police is what's hilarious.
12:53 - "I never did end up giving him slippers" even now, knowing what Brooks did, this guy is almost apologetic for not helping him more. What an actual saint right here.
That's sad that a grown man has to get him mom to call him an Uber.
Well to be fair... he did just have one hell of a day.
Yes, that would be fair to say
Think that's the LEAST of sad things that occurred that day🥺
That’s the horrible part
If he called the uber himself they would have been able to track him. He was attempting to cover his tracks
It’s so irritating to see him combing through those papers. It’s like he’s trying to find a get out of jail card in those notes.
It makes me sick!
Totally agree
Brooks opened sooooo many doors with his cross examinations that only incriminated him MORE if that’s even possible!!! This young man was only trying to help him and he used him in his accusatory line of questioning!!!
I will be glad when this is over
Waste of tax payers money
it will be worth every penny when he’s rotting in a concrete cell
Me too and the defendant is behind bars for the rest of his life.
Would it be fair to say you wouldn't want your tax dollars to pay for this? 🤣🤣🤣
@@katiemilady4232 Definitely it would be fair to say that. Haha

We need more people in the world like Daniel Rider. He's an awesome person
Indeed
I totally agree with you. World would be a awesome place with more people like him. God protected him that night and i can see why he did.
I agree we need more compassionate people but, we definitely don't need more dumb people, like thus guy. He might be kind but, he's dumb.
@@BigBabyJane I thought there would be at least one voice of negativity when I read someone saying something nice about someone else.
Great kid!!
I feel really sorry for all the people that had to sit in that courtroom and endure that idiot. I'm pretty sure he thought he was going to get his case dismissed.
I totally agree.
Pro Per Brooks was heard over a jailhouse call with his mom about how he was going to beat this rap with his Sovereign Citizen crap.
He knew exactly what he was going to do to be disruptive in court.
Judge Darrow was the right Judge for this case, she made every effort to allow him the rope to plead his case, and bit her tongue knowing the law was in her side.
Justice was served, and I’d love to buy her a long drink 🥃
Gotta love the objections from Brooks...they have no relevance. He just likes hearing himself saying that word. Sovereign Citizen at his finest!!!
This witness’ parents raised him right. Too bad Brooks’ mother didn’t.
Uhhhh MZZZZZ WOOOOOODS lmao
This guy seems really nice. Watching Brooks question him makes me sick.
Me too I wish the judge would shut this BS down !!!!
Watching that scumbag question so many people he victimized makes me sick.
I can’t imagine anyone coming to speak on his behalf at sentencing.
If I had someone looking like Brooks, aggressively knocking on my door like that, I don't think I would've answered.
I agree ! I would of called police
If I had someone that looks like you knocking aggressively on my door I would not open the door.
Me neither!
That’s exactly what I said! I would’ve got as quiet as I could until he went away! Well at least prayed he went on to the next house!
What a decent human! A stranger shows up at his door saying he's homeless and cold and this man feeling no threat of danger opens his home to him, offers him food and a jacket, allows him to use his phone and treats him like an equal. (I feel like this is a live-action parable of sorts.) This is what humanity should be. We need MORE of him and less douchebag darrells.
THANK YOU WITNESS FOR BEING A DECENT HUMAN BEING. 💛💛💛💛
I definitely would've given him food and a coat but I wouldn't let him in. I'm too paranoid.
Well said!
Objection leading
i’m so glad this man wasn’t hurt. such a good soul.
True but I don’t think Daniel was worried about being attacked by little Darrell. He had hunting guns in that house. He also could’ve snapped lil brooks neck without a weapon if necessary. God was with this kind man 🙏
The contrast between DB & this very kind, sweet gentleman is outstanding. I’m glad he stayed safe, wasn’t harmed by the monster that is Darrell Brooks.
Someone needs to give this dude Daniel an award for being the best human being of all time.
Prosecutors set him up perfectly with the voice mail. Pure Genius.
I agree. They all had smiles on their faces when he started pulling up the voicemail.
"Your honor, I'm asking for a mistrial on the grounds of ineffectual counsel. My attorney is an idiot"
Something tells me this kids never going to invite strangers in his house again
This young man’s parents did a good job raising him…..he could be the next Clark Kent.
Can’t believe the defendant is trying to make the homeowner feel bad for selling the video to media. It put a lot of peoples minds and hearts at peace knowing the man that killed so many was captured.
His answers and responses for doing so were perfect. I know it had to hurt Darrell to the heart that he was so proud to tell him. And you could almost see the glee in the witness as he was telling him so. And adding that he found a substance on the porch after he left was the icing on the cake. 😂
This witness is just a good human being and he is aware. He's not gullible. He was alert and took proper precautions throughout his interactions with Brooks.
Especially after the 2nd time...looking for my ID......he knew not to let him back in his house ...he didn't fall for it... probably saved his life....God bless him
Perfectly put.
What a beautiful young man, a true example of a well brought up person, a tribute to his family.
This guy is so squeaky nice. Good heart, good human. Bless him.
I worked in Corrections & this is a typical example of a highly intelligent psychopathic inmate who has absolutely no remorse & will use every bit of his intellect to try to worm out of these crimes. He's formulating his appeal even during the trial. Luckily there were witnesses, so I can't see him going anywhere but prison, where he'll have to be protected from other inmates; a very costly incarceration.
He is not that smart. In fact... This whole time I have been watching this court case... I have said.. wow... This guy is making the Prosecutors look like Genius Lawyers.
He has a fool for a client.
Highly intelligent?
He’s got the gift of gab but he’s as dumb as a box of rocks.
Narcissists can be intelegent wether DB is well that's another story....has not inelegant enough to keep clean and honest in his 35 years..nobody with any intelegence thinks he can run over and kill 68 people in broad daylight defend himself and get away with it...this trial for him is all about centre stage acting and being seen as a victim...his questions are not inelegant leading nowhere.

What a nice guy. Glad nothing bad happened to him. There’s no way I would have opened my door.
He fully thought he’d get him with a gotcha moment and it never comes 🙄 what a failure
His questions are so pointless and do absolutely nothing to help his defence
Bless this sweet witness's heart!! He was so thoughtful!! But I have to say, I would have NEVER let a stranger in my home!!
Certainly not looking like Darrell Brooks!
This guy on the stand is salt of the earth! I have videos on my phone from ten years ago, this line of questioning is ludicrous. The defendant needs to be shut down!
What a kind young man. He helped a stranger out with clothing and food. Turned out he was the devil in sheep’s clothing. He absolutely needed to keep those videos. They prove how he’s innocent and was being a good person. It was the monster who lied to him to take advantage of his kindness. Well done on the stand young man. The world needs more people like you. Bless you ❤❤🙏🙏
And good for him to sell those videos. How dare that monster take as advantage of his good kindness. I’d be worried why he didn’t if he he had such a great profit he would get from being dragged into this horrible horrific situation. Well done again ❤
Objection:I don't consent to him being called a stranger when he is actually a strange hobo..a bum...a worthless convicted felon..a woman beater...a pedophile..a waste of skin...a jailbird..a child murderer..a spree killer...a breathing abomination to God Almighty.. NOT EVEN HUMAN.
This warmed my heart! Sweet guy!!!
I cannot believe someone had a child with him. I feel sorry for the kids that have to call him a father. What a waste of space.
I was wondering why he was wearing a mask but now I realize that he think he is hiding his identity
Also why he cut all his hair off thinking nobody could recognize him. He does look totally different
When he lied stating he left his ID to come back in and had no intentions of exiting a second time where this young man could have lost his life by Mr.GUILTY BROOKS.Thank God for keeping him safe from hurt and harm.
43:30 That judge is shockingly alert. Saved the defendant from exposing priors.
He is an honest and open young man hence over sharing.
I agree… I find myself wishing some of these witnesses would not have such long answers and give this ass clown any reason to keep “axing “ stupid irrelevant questions… this kind hearted witness was being extremely kind to a stranger and 37:27 …DB is not realizing it makes him look terrible to the jury to be talking so nasty to him…
now he has to find a new home and live under an alias for the rest of his life.
