    I just use a small 22 inch metal tool box and it holds my torches, torch heads, cutters, reamers, flux, sand paper, wire brushes, flux brushes. anytime I need to solder some stuff I grab this box and any copper fittings I need right to the spot. Organization is everything to get the job done quick and correctly.
    I love the idea of having a backpack for hand tools and would spend 150$+ on one.

Finally got the same one yesterday and you didn’t mention you had to some how find a way to fight out four incredibly tough rivets to get the side pockets out 😂. They have made an OL version with Velcro sides now and large enough sides to accommodate flux tubs. Nightmare.

    Enjoyed watching VDO, you have a way of making them fun, entertaining and informative all at the same time. Well done! Been using Veto's for around 5yrs now after seeing a Sparks in States with one and thinking what Bag is that!!! Before I used to use CK Magma's which aren't cheap either at around £50-60 a pop but I would go through 1 of these bags in 6months to a year and it could no way hold what my Veto Tech XL can hold which I've had for 5yrs now and its still going strong. And I've used it in all kinds of environments without any worry it can take a beating. I now own Several Veto bags like yourself which I use for various applications. For example I hated the bag that my Anton Gas analyser came in so now I use my Veto MCT bag for my analyser, gas sniffer etc which works great so now when doing boiler services/Breakdown's I no longer have to carry two bags I just carry one with Analyser, service hand tools, small drill and don't have to worry about my analysers getting bashed up as the bag protects it nicely! In my humble opinion Veto's are money well spent!

    The Veto OT - MC is a Popular choice at the moment for a soldering bag, especially with the little PB adaptation, but the one you have on your shop front is the OT LC !
    I’v got a couple of veto bags I love them and wouldn’t use anything else but it dose take a little bit of time and use it fined what works best for you, I’v just ordered a couple more including the OT MC for a torch bag, yes expensive but are better and longer longer than anything I’v had over the years

    As a none professional I do a reasonable amount of plumbing for my extended family. Seeing what you professionals use is really useful. I do believe in having the right tool for the job, unfortunately I don’t do enough copper work to justify the bending tool. As a request what do you guys use when PTFE doesn’t stop a weeping joint? I’ve just fitted a sunken/flush thermostatic shower mixer and it been a complete so and so to get one of the feeds fitted without a small leak. Plumbers mate and or liquid PTFE?
    Thank you so much for sharing this, just off to Amazon to have a little spend. 👍🏻

    You have a lot of adjustable jaw tools, which seems a waste of money and additional weight. Firms like Knipex have easy adjust, parallel jaws either with smooth or ridged jaw surfaces to cover all sizes. I've just bought the 250mm smooth jaw and it's excellent as a combined plier and wrench. I also notice that you don't have a locking plier like 'Visegrip'. I use locking pliers all the time to remove nails, broken head screws and as an extra holding hand.

      Yup I took the plunge last year and brought a veto pro xl. It's definitely been worth it. I can find my tools all day long. Stops me having to drag everything out, like I used too.

    Liked what you said about your tools being abused . If im on site and someone needs a tool for a few minutes ill always say here use this . I know what its like if i need to borrow something i don't have with me or close by . If it breaks it breaks . I usually end up losing tools by leaving them on the sparks trays in the ceiling or in the roof when i leave it there over night and come in the next day and the plasterers have dry boarded up the room and i have to leave it or smash the wall / roof out 🙄😂

    I was greatly surprised in a bad way with the cost of the xl bag.... £405!! It's a great bag yes, but £405!!!... Just for the bag. Even the small one is steep at £145! I'm a Joiner/Builder, always believed in getting the tools you need to do a job right, but I ask myself, should I pay £405 for a tool bag??.... Shame, because it is nice, but a rip off I'm afraid

    Nice one great vid. But. A cross head screwdriver? Phillips or pozi? There is a difference. When you ask an apprentice and even seasoned trades for a Pozi 2 and they pass a Phillips 2 and you tell them they are wrong. “They are the same thing” no they are not. For the most used screwdrivers in my kit I have different brands so the handles are totally different, easy to find what you need. One of the best things I did was change my 18v impact screwdriver for a 12v non impact screwdriver. Smaller , lighter and quieter also all the power you need 99.9% of the time. I’ve had dry liner borrow it and said haven’t you got a proper one? After using it said he was going to buy one. Electrician bought one as well.

    • @plumberparts
      @plumberparts  5 лет назад

      I know there's a difference...but I'm in front of the camera and sometimes get tongue tied! I've got different brands too...Stanly/CK/Wera and some I don't even know! Might have a look at downgrading my drill. It's just I'm into the batteries now! You got a name/model?

    • @martinhull6734
      @martinhull6734 5 лет назад

      plumberparts. Yeah sorry didn’t mean to imply you didn’t know the difference. I tried to do a piece to camera and couldn’t string 5 words together without going blank and erring... a lot! I know what you mean about batteries keep with 1 system. I’ve got Bosch. I see you have Makita the 10.8v are even more compact than the Bosch and the batteries share a charger with the 18v. Also I have a Snickers open tote XL, it’s great but if you can’t get the van near the job or blocks of flats with stairs it gets heavy. When you’re finished the job it’s good because everything has a place and you can see if anything is missing.
