I remember back in 2006, when I was working in the oilfield, some company 'Safety' people were on the rig insisting that they needed to search my work vehicle - had one of these on the dash of my truck and they actually confiscated it saying it was against company policy - felt like I was back in High School.
I expect this channel to have well over 100k subs in the next year. It's cool you do various trades, so more people can get some ideas for what we may be missing out on with our own set ups. Great content, please don't ever stop.
The 1 1/8 and 1 1/4 wrenches i cut some cheap ones down and welded them to make stubbies. Very handy to get bolts on frame rails. I do alot of suspension on heavy diesel
16:30 I have owned the snap on, this Matco one, and the Mac air hammer. The Mac air hammer beats both the other ones out of the water. No close comparison at all!
What I like about the Snap on is it has the best trigger control. I have an engine shop and use mine for driving false valve guides and cylinder head seats. In those applications, trigger control is critical. My .02
10:15.. really good idea.. instead of a pile of fasteners trying to figure out (remember) where what went with what.. keep the nuts and bolts in order so they go back where they belong..
4:34 about the ratchets. I have all but retired my Snap On & Matco ratchets in favor of the 90 Tooth GearWrench. I can’t explain it, but they just feel & work better. The Matco 88’s being a close second.
Just started watching this channel a short time ago and I give it a thumbs up being a big truck mechanic I'm really digging the diesel tech videos good job
Love this video box is amazing. Hey, maybe on you bucket list you should do a tool box tour. Of that guy who built his toolbox at out of file cabinets in Texas. I think his name is SETH VIGUE it's pretty amazing
Love the set up Even a heavy duty mechanic uses different brands. Hopefully new tech can see that you don't have to spend big money to get the job done Put this video being inspiration on how to keep money in your own pocket and spend it on something you worked hard for. Thanks for the video love the content
I just did tool grid for my sockets it cost big money but it got every socket, bit, ratchet, extension i own into one drawer on my 7530 macsimizer and it is super well organized
Your videos have forced me to buy tool grid. So far I just have my socket drawer in my work box, and my socket drawer on my home box. Really considering the wrench holders for work
They don’t hold as much weight in diesel as they do in automotive. Some places will pay you more for having them tho so they’re good for that. Manufacturer certs are really what employers want to see nowadays (Cummins, Allison, Paccar, etc.)
@@TonytewsteezThank you. That makes sense. I’m in the Army and did the ASE tests they made for MIL equip. We have civilians that assist with more specific maintenance processes and they have to have the Medium/Heavy Certs.

I'm a Huge fan of everything Olsa tools. They're tools and organization products. I would love to use the tool grid system but its just too much $ for me. personally id rather use that $ on tools.
I have been saying for years, Sunnex is Snapon quality with 1/3 the price. I will stand by that saying too. Any technician entering the industry would be served well looking into Sunnex first.
This turned out great! Thanks again man!
Thanks for inviting me out!
Gotta love the blurred out calendars lol
When you’re needing a specialty tool those are nice to brighten the day.
I needa find out where to get those lmao

Id just replace it and put them on the sun visor glove box and inside each tool box. @@scrambler350
Those are a rarity these days 😢
Time to get an idea of what to buy this week
This is fastly becoming one of my look forward to Saturdays rituals. 😊
I’m glad to hear it Russell!
I enjoy your series. Every week a different idea about organizing or purpose.
Awesome! Thank you!

I appreciate that!
I'm not a cart kind of guy, but that cart is awesome. Very cool.
I said wow when he opened his top drawer. Thanks for the video this week. It was fun.
Glad you enjoyed it!
You can tell this guy knows exactly how to use each of his tools
And probably 3 ways to use each one other than intended
Very nice love the it anybody who cherishes there Grandpa's tools is all rite 👍😎👍
You really put so much effort into these videos and we all appreciate it!
I try!

Good to know!

On really big jobs i sort the bolts into sandwich bags. Write on each bag where the bolts came from with a sharpie. Makes reassembly super easy.
The little nitty-gritty tools are worth seeing like that metal zip tie tool. Thanks
Yeah I thought it was cool
Hey I’m Cody and a mechanic haha 🤣 another banger video!

Yeah no joke - I feel the exact same way.
I love love my gearwrench ratchets like that
Yeah! They’re awesome!
It looks great with the Toolgrid organizers!
It does!

My favorite part of the week. Thanks for another great video. 👍👍👍
Thanks Ryan!
Loving the tour's. Noticed the same trend in England with clean tools P.D.I mechanics 😅 were are the draws with bent welded spanners and sockets ❤

Thanks for watching Paul!
I agree about the drill bits. Just wish I had a mac guy to warranty mine though
Yeah kind of sucks how MAC drivers are so rare these days..
would love to see a motorcycle or bicycle mechanic setup
super nice videos and i love to follow your trips to the mechanics so they can tell us about their tools :)
Glad you like them!
i used to work with Cody. always had a badass box
Gearwrench ratchets are choice. Solid box.
Those cornwell double end ratcheting are made by Mountain wrench the whole set is about 160
I just did tool grid for my sockets it cost big money but it got every socket, bit, ratchet, extension i own into one drawer on my 7530 macsimizer and it is super well organized
It’s definitely an investment, but well worth it for the organization it provides!

Tool Grid ftw!
Tool grid. Can't blame him it looks good
I agree! I’d love to have that much toolgrid
I work at a international dealer for RTC love it
Guy does tool box tours and all my truck accounts go up that week
😅
Love the vids keep them up!! Also when are we getting an industrial maintenance guy?
Workin on it! 🙂
Man I’m totally addicted to your videos. Keep up the great work! Only downside is the money I’ve been spending….
Haha! Same here 😅
Thank you Sir.
Great video
Thanks!
Enjoyed another one THANKS ‼️
Glad you enjoyed it!
A very nice tool box tour but I’m gonna stick with cars, he seems very knowledgeable and humble
This guy has a very complete set for the line of work he is in. It would be interesting to know what he is thinking of buying next?
Well well well..... 5:20 and 17:23 Red-Black case with wrenches from MAC tools.. This product looks exactly the same as FACOM 467S - brand from EU 😎
Awesome video 😤
Nice. Great video.
Glad you liked it!
It’s nice but not a fan of the blue holders for the tool grid system. Would be nicer with more color options. Like Hi viz or just black
Yeah more color options would be nice. The Cornwell truck usually carries green tho.
How many of the technicians have ASE certs? Are they important in the field?
They don’t hold as much weight in diesel as they do in automotive. Some places will pay you more for having them tho so they’re good for that. Manufacturer certs are really what employers want to see nowadays (Cummins, Allison, Paccar, etc.)
You get paid more for having them. But in the hd industry they worry more about manufacturers certs than anything. Ase just means you can take a test.

Anyone know where to get the graphics kit on that cornwell?
I believe the dealer sells the kit for the cart
How come Mac Tools is so rare? my Mac dealer recently ditched our shop, hasn't returned since last year
Wish I knew
Came here to check out the pinup calendar in the locker. Left disappointed.
LOL, 20:36 blur-out pictures of....his kids?
Yes officer this man right here
Should’ve asked if they were hiring lol
Seth vigue File cabinets toolbox
Couldn’t imagine working at international dealership, worst trucks in the game.
#toolboxtours where r u located would like to see u come to my shop I work at and do a tour
I’m located in Utah. I travel for tours tho. Hit me up! Toolboxtour@gmail.com
Second!
Nice to see non car mechanics, and even better to see people who haven’t spent 300k on snap on tools and 50k on a metal box to keep the tools in
FIRST!
