- Gage is right at home at this Kenworth dealer. He keeps all of his tools so clean and organized, and I love how he polishes everything and keeps things shiny! I couldn’t believe he pulled engines out of semis using a system similar to grabbing stuffed animals out of an arcade game. Just fascinating to me. Absolutely yes, or yep, these guys are really on top of their game and deserve credit for all they do. As a truck mechanic I am more jealous of the overhead cranes. That would be so awesome
Yeah! Like an arcade game for stuffed animals 😅
They definitely make some jobs a whole lot easier than they otherwise would be, especially cause driving a forklift into position along the truck can sometimes be a hassle. I just wish our crane covered the whole shop instead of just 1 bay.
Please ask him to pass on a message for the wrench holder producer, Im pretty sure if he offers them online snd continues with his local tool trucks, he will have plenty of demand. Im interested. Another great video.

Holy crap 15 THOUSAND dollars for a empty tool cart. Don’t get me wrong it looks awesome and probably does what it does really good, but that’s a lot of money for a tool cart in my opinion.
Awesome tour, really efficient setup here and super clean. He definitely cares a lot about his stuff and at the cost of everything these days who can blame him. Keep up the great work man!

Sweet set up Gage! I'm with you 💯 with the clean tools. I mainly work out of a tool backpack during our open season at the amusement park and I won't put greasy tools back in my pack.
Clean tools = more productive!

Like he said, the 5 mins it takes to clean off all my tools between jobs is a good break from work. My tools are always clean with a clean box and I feel good to start a new project. It was real quick, but I think he said he uses window cleaner to get the grease off?
Yeah his wrenches were super shiny! Clean and organized tools = more productive. Always worth it to clean and organize!

Cornwell changed manufacturers recently and their boxes are now incredibly nice!
I went to trade school for diesel tech and I really miss having the overhead crane. Being in a large fleet we dont do engines like that but using a crane for driveline stuff was so nice. Also crazy to have small the tools are for an engine tech compared to stuff I have.
Yeah! It was like the claw machine at an arcade! 😅
2 heavy equipment shops I worked at didn't have overhead cranes try doing a boom on a skid steer without one we just ended up using the clapped out service truck

The diesel box tours are so much cooler IMO, so is diesel work , and diesels lol. Tough work for sure.
I hope that they send that Raptor and the FRL out for calibration bc if not your head bolts are not torqued correctly. I calibrate these all day long and they loose ft lb over short time due to a lot of use.
I really enjoy your channel. Great work. I'm sure he is a very good at his trade. Most true craftsman have their tools clean and at the ready. Good workmanship is not the norm anymore. It is very refreshing to see men in their trades take pride in their work and tools. Thanks again sir.

My shop has that same Raptor torque gun. Thing is nasty!
The video doesn’t do it’s size justice! You have to look at the tool cart it’s on to get any kind of size reference. Gage passed it to me while I was holding the camera and I nearly dropped it!

I got a set of those snapon offset wrenches and never knew what they’re good for. I’ll try them next time I got a valve job.
The bigger sizes is where they really shine. 7/8" up to 1-5/8". Final drives, hydraulic pumps, flanges. Dont really need them in automotive.

107 ft lbs on the long bolts. But still. He's talking out his ass
in a shop i work; guy drinks 4 cans of Zywiec beer 16.9 fl oz before he starts serious work on engine every freakind day (assembling) in 3 years (9 years experience) i never saw any complains returns .wow just wow.
This guy is proof you dont have to keep your tools greasy and unorganized. He is working on heavy trucks. No excuses. Searching for tools is time and time is money.
If that guy works on Kenworth he must be bored, they are far superior to any other brand and hardly ever break down. If he wanted more work than he could ever handle he would work at Freightjunker or Vulva, they are garbage and he would constantly have a backlog of work.
Kenworths break down all the time, mx13 engines are junk.
He enjoys it - atleast it seemed. The atmosphere was VERY chill easy going. A place I think I’d enjoy wrenching.
all trucks break no matter the brand, poor maintenance leads to failures and every brand has owners that carry out poor maintenance
Even if they don't witch every vehicle does they still need regular maintenance

Beautiful configuration and equipment, the way of working and the American trucks are significantly different from the European ones , here in Italy for example the most popular brand are the IVECO and the Scania, excellent quality for both and Scania still produces V8 engines .

Very odd this man has an entire channel dedicated to tool box tours with little to no understanding about tools or repair. Not hating but seems strange to me.
