- Brandon is a Toyota technician with years of automotive experience behind him. Having worked for GM, Hyundai, Kia, and other makes, he is incredibly well rounded and very accomplished. I loved seeing tools that he got from his father as well as the tools he received being a father himself. Nothing beats the sentiment you get from knowing the tools came from someone special. Brandon is quite the busy individual, so I’m so grateful he took the time out of his day to show off his tools and box(es). Thank you Brandon! If you enjoyed Brandon’s tour, give him a Like!

You should ask all these guys what they're weekly payment to the trucks are. It's not disrespectful. We all have or have had truck payments.
No need, that’s a personal question. Grown men can spend their hard earned money on whatever they like.
Never had a tool truck payment.. older mechanic told me to say away from tool truck payment. And buy used tools or pay right out if you can
60.53 for 156 weeks
@@user-cn8tc2lr1che’s just getting at the fact a lot of these guys have ALOTTTTTTTTTT of tool truck brands and they all say they bought used or it’s paid off which there’s no way all these big boxes with mostly tool truck tools have all this cash laying around
We’ll talk about yours pal
Another sweet video. I don't know how nobody thought of this kind of channel before. Loads of us love watching toolbox tours.
I’m glad you enjoy them Matt! 👍
That’s what I’m saying. It’s genius and I can’t get enough 😂
WHY IS THERE NO = THIS PRODUCT IS ADICTIVE WARNING STICKER ????????
As I’ve said before I your toolbox tours keep getting better and better. Big improvement when you start deleting the background music. Most people don’t appreciate how much time it takes to put a good video together as you’re doing. Adding the manufactures part numbers and pricing makes it very informative.
Keep up the good work my friend always looking forward to when new content comes out. 👍🏻
Thanks Russell, I really appreciate that! It does take a bit of time to put the videos together, but I’m glad people enjoy them. Thanks for watching!
@@ToolBoxTour I would go so far as to say that your videos have artististic value.
Jason, thank you so much for that comment. It means a lot! Thanks for watching!
Nice set up.... Nice to see air tools that still get used
Another awesome tour, some cool specialty stuff here and another great mechanic at the helm. Keep up the great work man!
Thanks for watching!! I’m glad you enjoy the videos 🤘
Got that bent one he called the “ignition ratchet”
Dismantled the hinge an swapped the head the other way years ago, works great, pretty much my “go too”
I’ve flipped it the other way once to access a strange angle, but tools are tools, change them/cut them/bend them/ weld them/ or in this case dismantle and fix the design
17:50ish
Oh I’ve never thought about that. I bet it could come in handy the other way around
As long as it’s the same tool, the hinge is only held together by a bolt, and a spring and maybe ball bearing, but other designs are likely to be swappable for a mechanic.
The other way around it gives a lot of clearance to avoid things, i’ve done a lot of suspension & wheel alignments, but due to the extra length of the tool it is my most used ratchet for a long time…. Till I recently got a straight telescopic flex head.
GodBless
Loving the videos. It would be cool to see toolboxes for artists, instrument makers, gunsmiths, machinists, jewelers, etc.
“I bought it and forget I have it” this has already happened to me a few times. Here’s a good quote for the moment. “Only the people that are too scared to do what you’re trying to do, are the ones that are going to make fun of you.”
It’s the truth! I can’t count the number of times I bought a tool I already have 😂
Thank you for your time and video. Very interesting! This guy went a little too fast in displaying his tools..but no worries...i just put it in slow mo!✌🕶🔧
Have a great weekend! 👋😁✌
Thanks for watching Alfred!
Nice set up. Really enjoy these tours and appreciate the technicians taking the time to share.
Thanks for watching Daniel!
Just make a hutch. Use a cabinet on its side as the top shelf, door opens upwards, add a gas strut and some ply on the ends
That’s a nice Mac box. It has more drawers to organize things better. The paint has held up well over the years.
Yeah it definitely held up great. He took good care of it. Thanks mark!
I had the same one and the amount of drawers was a big selling point, but once I got moved in I realized I needed more deep drawers. I sold it and bought another one with a layout that works better for me. It's over 20 years old and not a problem with it so far
if you are ever in Texas and want to tour my box.... I used to be a heavy line mechanic at an independent shop in San Jose California.... but now am restoring old cars and trucks in my home garage. Very much in to my tools.
What part of Texas?
@@ToolBoxTour Cedar Park.... Austin.....
I will be heading down to Texas in about a month. If you’re serious, hit me up on instagram @toolboxtours 👍
It really doesn't matter if you use air tools or cordless. All bolts should be hand torqued regardless.
As a Toyota guy, I love seeing other Toyota Tech's boxes. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
This guys finds some killer deals. Sweet setup.
Love this guy like no brand loyalty just gets the tools to do the job the tools dont look brand new i envy guys that can keep tools new clean but thus guy prob has a massive amount of knowledge i am so glad i work with two older guys that are willing to take me under their wings even if i drive them nuts sometimes i also do it on purpose
felt
23:09 - love the old skool snap-on screwdrivers with the soft grip handles, my favorite!!(handles discontinued)
They’re hard to come by anymore
@@ToolBoxTour i am 15 years with Toyota, 20 in the business. my mentor gave me 1 Philips & flat blade soft grip- i have had them for 15 years now, use every day! . have an 84" epiq with side locker and top cabinet
This might be the first video on your channel where someone has a good amount of Husky. I find it can bit surprising he didn't have any Knipex pliers.
Right.. 60% of my tools are husky before it go to specialty tools
at 11:11 minutes in the video ..i have the SAME blue-point battery tester (discontinued) .. LOVE IT - has never failed me!! .. he said "quick an dirty" -- SOO TRUE!!
Loved this one. You can tell Brandon loves being a tech and loves his tools. It's funny sometimes a dude who has been flat rate for so long will rush through every thing in life bc you just get so used to racing the clock, Brandon may be in this category 🤣 awesome dude tho, awesome video as always. Thanks!
Love this channel it would be cool if u could do a heavy duty diesel tech toolbox tour
The red Snap-On locking pliers are Grip-Ons, made in Spain. The chrome ones are Malco Eagle Grip, made in Nebraska. Malco closed up the Eagle Grip shop though, so those "new" Snap-On locking pliers are no longer available. Really sucks that Eagle Grips are gone, as they really are the best locking pliers, period.
you should do tours of Heavy diesel technican boxes like caterpiller or john deere techs
I have several videos of heavy duty techs 😊 Check out my channel. More to come!
Haven't seen a John Deere or Agco tech box tour yet, unless I missed it!
I just might have to pick up a magnetic 8mm for the recall he’s talking about. Would be very helpful and a peace of mind so you don’t loose the 3 bolts
Make sure you blast it all on with air so it’s torqued so you don’t have to use a torque wrench. Science.
Another great video on another great collection. Keep it up 👍.
That snap on mg725 I got in 2008 .....for about 450 had it rebuilt twice.now over 700 ..... bought an i.r. and never use the snapon anymore.....less vibration and hits as hard as the day I bought it....
Years ago a friend in a transmission shop traded his snap on box for a Mac box, while transferring tools over he placed all his air tools in one of the lower chest big drawers. It proved to be too much for the Mac box , slides broke off there welds . He didn’t even get one day of use. I stand on the lower drawer of my snap on box because I’m short and can’t see the top. 225 lbs plus tools
A Tech who feeds off the misery of others - a way to take advantage of bargains! 😂
Right place right time 😅
Wise choice very nice
I also know a tech that recently retired after 35 years in the industry. I could reach out to him and see if he wanted to do a tour.
If you are around north ga let me know I can give you a tour of my 2 boxs
Awesome MAC box!
Awesome box and tools man, but what Chrysler product has anyone encountered that uses triple squares? I’ve been with a CDJR dealer for 5+ years and I’ve never once seen a single triple square fastener😂 thank god too lol
The Fiat Chrysler products have triple square fasteners 👍
@@ToolBoxTour which ones? I haven’t seen one yet, I did purchase a set of triple squares but I’ve never used nor seen any coworkers use triple squares for anything that was our brands
Eco diesel camshaft cap bolts are triple square. Came across a few triple square fasteners on an old Crossfire but doubt that was OEM
@@timman9110 haven’t torn into one yet outside of in class, which was awhileeeeee ago but regardless that’s VM anyways not Chrysler. Good ole Italian design
Camera man reminds me of a parent who is trying to be supportive of their kids hobby and have no clue what's going on lol
This made me lol
With air all is uggaa dugga torque 😅😅😅
Mark Miller Toyota I used to work there
Awesome!! I walked into the main service side and it was crazy busy and wayyyy more techs. I’m glad the used car side was just Brandon that day 🤘
He said taruses!lol
I work in parts at a Ford Dealership. I want to know if any of these places purchase tools for the techs. We are always having to purchase tools for the techs and it wastes our time and I think they should purchase there own. Just curious. Parts is where the money is at. Period
You need the original boxes as nothing is labelled
Great tools, but would drive me mad opening a drawer and opening and moving things to get 1 tool. Not that my tools are organised
Good video. The best tool boxes that I have were purchased at Harbor Freight. They are much heavier built than any of the “brand name” boxes.
They do make some good boxes. I can’t say they make the best, but miles ahead of craftsman or even Husky imo
No , no, they are not.
too loud? wtf its a shop. people need to get their shit together.
If the impact was "too loud" I hope the dealership was the one to pay for it.
Hi at 5:57 there is a plier for toyota c brake horse shoe plier, by anychance do you know the brand and model
Matco BRR1. The part number is in the video also. 👍
What's the part # for the Toyota horse shoe pliers?
I need those also. Matco BRR1
I was just looking for them on google and bluepoint has a set also. BR1 is the part number
Thanks Ryan!
If you’re using an impact, battery or pneumatic you’re not “torquing “.
Air is free, battery's arnt.....from a techs point of veiw
and yet my rigid 1/2 mid torque with a 8ah is still cheaper than a snap on or mac air impact
I think snapon thrives on power tool rebuilds becuase none of it lasts......seems kinda planned to me.....
Tour my box
Hit me up on instagram @toolboxtours 👍
Dude needs a shot lmao
Early gang
👋
Probably a cool video but the frame rate killed it for me, and Google wants me to pay for Premium to watch some one else's work without flickering? Nah, I'll pass.
? Premium shouldnt change how the video looks. Where do you see flickering?
Traded one overpriced tool holder for another.
