Hammer, Utility knife, Sharpie, Square, Teflon tape, Rags, Gloves, Tin snips, Plyers, 2nd pipe wrench, Water bottle (for hot work sites), Lightweight drill, Bandaids
Love the enthusiasm, that’s more than 10!
Either a hammer or a good putty knife.
What's a square? Want to look into that one.
@@josiahc4126 it is a small tool (usually carried by carpenters) that allows you to check right angles, if something is level or plumb and some even tell you degree of an angle.
First two for any trade is a tape and a level
Hammer for sure. That should be up there . Top 5 honestly. #10 would be a cordless drill
definitely would recommend water pump pliers over regular adjustable. much more versatile can grip iron pipe almost as good as pipe wrench, and angles grab nuts and adaptors well. especially from an a hvac tech working with gas, oil, hydronics, and a/c.
I love my Sioux chief pliers
Hex keys, basin wrench both come in real handy working service
Another informative one. Keep them coming Roger.
You got it
Great video Roger.
I wanted to get your input on which machine I should get. I am debating between a Jetter or a Drain Camera, I do a lot of drain calls so either would be beneficial.
I guess it would depend on what you do more often…jetting or camera work, I have the Milwaukee Sewer camera I really like, I don’t do jetting too often however
@@RogerWakefield Thank you for your input
I have been doin all kinds of trades work for about 5 years now and I have used a tape measure in every trade accept for plumbing and that’s my main job
Need more like 30. I have the yellow hollow tray Ferguson's sales and I have anything to do trim in it and tool belt for when I'm doing DWV. When it's water days I have my expander, pex trays, pex cutters, screws, tape, 4 speed square, pencil, and my impact. Everything fits in pex trays besides impact, so two hands and I'm good
Roger, what would you recommend as my first pipe wrench, aluminum or steel?
Ty
Hammer + combination pliers
I have most of those, and some others that you didn't list. Yet I have no hammer, but my journeyman has three.
Hey, what all pipes with wood handles do you have in that browning safe? Can you show those tools too?
I love how you've uploaded one of these every year it seems
There’s new tools always coming out
@@RogerWakefield I start my plumbing apprenticeship the 27th so I'm watching them all 😅
@@alakaiwarford2275 I love that….
hammer, some sort of pry bar and a good quality pencil like the tracer pencil.
Tape, Flash Light, Marker, Razor Blade, and Channel Locks. My every day without fail use every day. North Utah plumbing
What about a multi tool?
Alarm clock
Vehicle
Deodorant
A clue
No fear
Cast iron knees
Strong back
Enthusiasm
Good eyes
BECOME AN ELECTRICIAN !!!! 😂
Haaaaaa 😂
Though I could use an adjustable hammer, for those tight spaces ! 😑
A good flat crowbar is essential and relatively cheap.
Floorboards need to come up on a regular basis.
2 * size 24 metric open spanner (for 15mm ½ inch) compression joins (residential plumbing). Pipe cutter (essential for non leaky joins)
All right every Plumber has to 8:24 have a pair of channel locks 420and 440s preferably two sets of 440s A 10 inch crescent wrench and a 6 inch A pair of pipe wrenches small and big 25 ft tape measure metric and standard Allen wrenches and a set of torx for those oddball jobs Ridgid one stop wrench for angle stops and Pasco half inch Farrell nut puller. And other than that you could basically do whatever you wanted being a apprentice plumber another thing you might want to look into is a nice plumbing torch
Definitely a nice Estwing hammer
For an apprentice? First aid kit.
Jokes aside (though every workspace should have one), safety specs and ppe in general.
A couple of vise grip adjustable pliers !
Vice grips are definitely handy to have.
I know it's not necessarily a tool, but some PPE. I know some shops are more strict about that sort of thing. The last thing you want is the new guy not hearing or seeing right.
I just bought the bigger version of that bag at Ferguson for only 40 bucks, pretty good deal
Reed deburring tool. Cell phone with pipes trade pro calculator app. Forget about the flashlight cellphone will cover that but I would have a headlamp for situations that a cellphone wouldn't be tool. I'd take a bone saw. Pipe wrench stays on truck and hammer goes in bag. Big fan love your material. Sincerely year one apprentice.
Tin snips!
Hammer
Set of impact driver and drill
I need that Ferguson tool bag. Do they sale them?
They do sell them
@@RogerWakefield nice
Marker, pipe cutter, voltage meter, duct tape, and an extra set of your uniform as you will get wet/dirty
Hammer and also a Precision screwdriver
good picks
I think a good hammer goes a long way or a good utility knife aswell
I wish I had killer intro music like the tools did
A knife at all times no exceptions
Tablet/phone for plan viewing
watch......be on time
The editor has cracked me up two videos in a row now.
❤❤❤❤❤
Everyone needs a pipe stretcher. 😅
A second pipe wrench - a single wrench is dangerous in the hands of an apprentice- and a basin wrench
Leatherman
8 months in and a lot of money spent on tools for them to sit in my car while I grab stuff for the guy I ride and watch him. Any thoughts
One month in, I’m not buying shit until they say I gotta buy em 😂😂
Tool #10: a cooler for your beer
I think a good duct tape or a very strong glue might come in handy ?
If you’re a handyman…
Pex cutters, copper cutters
3 sizes of channel locks 3 pairs of adjustable wrench
Thread tape
Channel locks
i would throw out the saw and put in a Sawzall with Milwaukee torch blades cant count how many times that has saved me
Need a reamer
That’s a good one! 💡
Sure it's a tool purse... but it's handy
Why didn't a bottle of drano make it to the list? X)
😬🤢
A bag of chips
Mario and Luigi don't carry tools? maybe Nintendo need to fix this
I’d get rid of the saw and replace it with a writing utensil and then add a hammer
Stud finder for the tenth tool. Don’t want to accidentally drill thru those water lines
Good thing you're a plumber so you can fix it lol. I've only used the stud buddy and my magnetic level
A marker, pen, notepad, small adjustable pliers for your pocket. And a knife.
My tenth tool would be a plumb bob just in case you had to hang hangers for anything
notepad and pen
Noted 📝
Knee pad
Driver’s license
I disagree with a tape measure and crescent wrench. Just use a grocery bag or box until one can afford a tool bag
Your phone should have a flashlight
Gotta have a proper hammer.
toothpaste
your cell phone.
İ dislike this editing.
A fing speed square for crying out loud.
Great one! What about a multi tool?
@@RogerWakefield not much for a leatherman etc, but a good sharp knife is keen.
Too many sponsored videos
He legit used the sponsor as one of the tools to have which he actually is right.
Ferguson has good products 🤷♂️
okay guys, stop with the fake stories about you having your own service trucks after one year of apprentice.
