I just bought a Zorro to add to my collection i do like youre reviews and got it based on your vid. My every day RC is a DR8 and have a brushed Outlaw which im going to re motor to 12T love driving on grass and gravel got the Zorro for £216.59 which i think is the best 3s capable Baja truck out there IMO . All the best and thanks for your work .
I have seen the brush version and it looks a bit more upscale, well worth the brushless upgrade 👍

Yah, I almost had one imported here, but I ended up saving up and getting a pro4 sc10 from associated. For 330 it was pretty good value honestly. Really gorgeous. I just didn't wanna wait for shipping from UK, and it was kinda expensive to ship too.
I've lived in the UK for 8 years now , UK is where my love to rc cars really started . Same as you I love ftx and whenever someone asks me for my opinion on any rc car I say they should have a look at FTX stuff whether it's a crawler , mini crawler , buggy , truggy ect no matter what scale ftx covers mostly everything . I've been subscribed to your channel for 3 years now and I've watched all your videos , some of them 2-3 times lol . I like the way you.make these videos and the atmosphere and all but this is the first time I would come to a disagreement with you if I was to meet you face2face - mcdonalds makes decent coffee but its NOWHERE NEAR COSTA COFFEE my friend 😆

Had this for a few days now and got to reprogram esc as breaking is too harsh ! And you can’t do it without the optional card so had to order one only £9 ish, but you need to tame the brakes or your tyres will definitely suffer for sure!!! Apart from that it’s seems pretty good especially for the price 👍👍👍 and it is fast on 3s …

It’s a tragedy they don’t sell these Stateside. I’m going to throw a brushless system into my 2WD Slash and ape it out, but the Zoro just looks gorgeous.
Id highly recommend the hobbywing max sct10,if you do your slash

Hmmm… Senton is faster and I’d say a little better being it’s bigger and takes a bit more abuse. But this is certainly worth the money

I love this little trucks! I have fully upgraded Volcano EPX Pro that would love ta have that shell! That's sharp. And I can tell by half the parts on that rig...Loves the 3's. Pop a TQi transmitter and reciever in and for some reason...it just wakes it up like a beast. 😎👍Another awesome vid as always bro! 🛻😜

@@TomleyRC Full disclosure...I soaked the other Reciever while I was snow bashing and had no other replacements lol. So I threw an old traxxas tqi set up in it, 3s 5000mah traxxas battery and connector adapter...my jaw dropped. 😎👍 It was totally unintentional. I was just desperate on a Sunday when my hobby shop was closed.

Would you say that the non brushless that you upgraded is on par with this apart from the slip diff?
I think this is more stable, but the original is more ‘realistic’ for a trophy truck

I have 4 ftx vehicles and once you go up the S you start to burn out your diffs and you cant buy harden steel diffs .so if it says 2S stick with 2s .as 3s will keep costing you £££££and around £17 to £21 each the cost mounts up .

I watched this and went out and got one for my birthday with a 3s pack 😊 I nearly got a tamiya racing fighter but this was about the same price maybe a little cheaper.

Chassi is exactly the same as my VRX RH818 that Im converting to a SCT. It´s hard do get the body shipped here to Brasil though
Really interested in this line. However the brushed version looks cooler imo, has the realistic solid rear axle layout and can of course be made brushless too. And it's really cheap. 🤔

@tomley rc would you ever consider reviewing the FTX Vantage brushless. As this seem to be readily available in the U.K. however there are no vlog reviews.
I don't think they ship to the states here in us..I like this kool truck. Maybe someone on Ebay sell these.. and be able to ship here.. must be very expensive to buy for the US... well kool video and kool truck....!!

On a different note my birthday day is coming up but don't have a lot of money what would you recommend the hbx brusless or the wltoys 14401
I have a brushless 144001 (2838 4000something kv) and my sons have 1/16 HBX 16889/16890 with oil shocks as an upgrade. I'd recommend the HBX in a heartbeat. Very durable, fast, loads of fun, ideal for bashing. The 144001 is faster, but the little HBX are way more fun. Popping wheelies even on the stock LiOn battery, runs 15-20mins on the small 1000something mAh batteries. Plenty of spares available. There is even a Pro version of the 16889 with metal diffs, metal driveshafts, lipo and slightly bigger motor. The Pro is ~100€ depending on taxes.
HBX will stand up to bashing better. 👍
both are good vehicles. what do you plan on using the car for mostly?

Well it doesn’t Costa Star bucks , I don’t think it warrants its price tag though. The Little maverick with the 80a ESC and upgraded arms comes in under £200,. Although no Lipo .

I've found with these "budget" brands like FTX and with my own Maverick Quantum is that they're not really suitable for loose gravel as it just gets everywhere and grinds all the gears. I've become so anxious about loose gravel I just avoid putting mine anywhere near the stuff
Yes, and that goes for a lot of other stuff as well. Gotta make sure you give it a good shake every now and then
That small gravel gets in the quality machines just as bad, bring it back to you every few minutes for a good shake and check over.
