      Where does your sufficient amount of protein come from?
      How are you getting at least 100 grams a day to supply proper muscle mass, fuel to repair and build tissue?
      Every cell in our bodies contains protein, so meeting our protein requirement is essential for proper health.

    • @lindajones3356
      @lindajones3356 Год назад +21

      @@mcampbell4556 Thats a great question.. 100 gr. is actually a very high amount. Everything we eat veggies ect. have protein. even way back in the 70s the American nutrition association determined we really only need 15 grams a day for optimal health... they then doubled it for good measure. There is no such thing as protein deficiency, you get enough cals then you will get enough protein. But, dont take my word for it.. check it out for yourself.
      have a great day!

I watched you in the past when I want to lose weight pre-pandemic. However, my military friends convinced me to do keto diet, I lost weight but felt sick and always tired. As soon as I stopped I gained it all back and more during the pandemic. I haven’t not been able to lose weight. I got desperate and got lipo. But I’ve gained weight again. But I’m so much like you, and I want my health back. I know eating my veggies just makes sense. I really really want to be successful this time and regain my health and hopefully my weight will regulate afterwards. I just feel like your video was a sign of hope. Thank you and hopefully I can follow up with positive news in a couple months. Love ya girly ❤

I was obese when I was younger up until a teenager and overweight into adulthood. I have tried all the diets under the sun but I have kept at it with a whole food plant based diet and it is the only thing that has worked and I can stay consistent with. I now can eat some plant based meats and stuff but I want to lose more weight so I'm coming back to the basics again to get my dream body. Don't give up! You can do it!

    With food being so expensive and I am on a very low income I have gradually transitioned to eating only plant based foods. Every time I used the last of something eg cheese slices I would vow never to buy that again and substituted that food for a plant based version. The bonus was because I did this gradually there was no shock to my body from the dietary change. Enjoying these videos and I am fully prepped for the week. Side note, my weekly grocery bill has reduced. ❤❤❤

    Hi Kiki! I thought i would share an important replacement that i do for your oh-so-yummy cheese sauce. I am allergic to tree nuts so i can't have the cashews. So for the sake of others who also have this problem, i will share what i do. I would hate for anyone to miss out on this sauce because of the nuts. I simply replace the cashews with the same amount of white cannelini beans. It's so good! (And a lot cheaper! One can of beans will give you enough for a double batch. ) Thank you for the recipe!! I just got your book last week and thoroughly enjoyed reading it! Keep on doing what you do... we all appreciate it! 😊

    Just got the book, it’s definitely simple and easy wish is great. For me the hardest part is on the weekends, social life doesn’t really go with this lifestyle, but need to be strong and keep this as a journey.

    Thank you so much for dedicating to sauces and dressings! They are just as important as you say! And in stores they all are so brainless calory dense, I don't know why! 🤯

    Doing this today!! Just started vegan 2 weeks ago. I’ve done vegetarian before and went back to meat and dairy. Actually trying to stick with it this time. Just made your cheese sauce and tried it and it is delicious! I may put it on everything now!!

    Kiki, your videos are always awesome. I have all your cookbooks. I’m a big fan. My family is also becoming a fan of all these wonderful recipes. I’m ready to move to the part where you say “my kids snack on fruit and veggies”. How and what? Can you make a “what my kids eat in a week” video?

    Thank you so much for all your wisdom, I’ve known forever that a WFPBNO diet was the best for health, but I never knew quit how to accomplish it, a lot of recipes were just too complicated and I have a hard time with 2 toddlers to be spending lots of time in the kitchen making something complicated or trying a complicated recipe just for it to turn out tasting nasty! During the pandemic/lock downs I even paid for an online WFPBNO cooking class, but got even more discouraged with the majority of the ingredients being things I had no clue what they were, it was definitely fancy for more professional chefs… so I got discouraged, but your recipes that I’ve tried so far are yummy and they are very basic with the ingredients, so I feel like I can actually do this! Thank you!!!
