Yeah I was surprised that he put up a relatively long fight against Bond. I mean Greene was short and physically not very imposing, but he really got Bond on trouble for a short time. Bond took out a lot bigger guys much quicker...
In a film that I positively dislike, that has to be one of the best moments. That’s what I find frustrating, these incredible moments buried in bad editing, poor storytelling and a generally dull film. Craig is absolutely phenomenal in this one, but he couldn’t save it for me personally. This moment is particularly reminiscent of Bond’s thoughts in the Live and Let Die novel, where he decides before the boat starts towing them through the water that if he can’t get both him and Solitaire free from the rope as they’re dragged along the reef, he’ll intentionally drown her to spare her the worse fate of being eaten alive by sharks. He’s given up nearly all hope, so he puts all his thought into sparing his companion from a horrifying death.
I don't remember feeling this way when I first saw this movie but parts of this actually made me feel dizzy with the frequent cutting. Aside from that, mixed feelings on the fight between Bond and Greene itself. I don't know if he really feels like the type to go head-to-head with Bond or is better suited to a mastermind role (like, say, Elliot Carver) but his crazy screaming and laughing as he just swings that axe like a madman are pretty great.
That's the point - he isn't a better fighter. He isn't a fighter. But Bond keeps having random explosions to deal with, while a person who is swinging can be dangerous even to a professional fighter. There are couple of seconds where they fight on more equal playing field and Bond demolishes him.

I agree, when I saw this at the Cinema I felt robbed. Casino Royale was different than the previous Bond movies, it was obviously a post Bourne Movies. But the characters were good. Then we got this, that was supposed to strat minutes after Casino Royale, yet had non of the first qualities. I was pissed, took my girl friend, a Bond afficionados she hated too. I remember saying at the time he's like a Bull, strong and stupid always charging.
Somebody evidently skimmed on fire safety here. By a LOT.
Needed more quick cuts, could tell what was happening occasionally.
Halle Berry, Rosamund Pike and Olga Kurylenko ironically all starred in Bond spoofs because their actual Bond film was too bad! Halle Berry was in Kingsman 2 and Rosamund Pike and Olga Kurylenko were in Johnny English 2 and 3😅
I forgot how good the action was.
And hopefully you'll forget it again..
If only you could see it though
Am I the only one thinking he over acted the hell of that fight with those over the top screams ?

2:33 was the only one that made sense, considering he just chopped his foot in half.
When Bond leaves Greene in the desert, Greene get first-hand experience why water is "the world's most precious resource". Karma.
I just realized that Greene is the only main villain of the Craig era who fights Bond directly.
What about Silva?
@@samuelmajka4804 Silva didn't fought bond hand to hand like this the closet they got was at the island but they didn't actually fought and in the hearing with m but again didn't actually fought the only villian who fought bond hand to hand was Greene
It’s funny because Greene is the least physically imposing villain in the Craig era. Bond should’ve fought Silva or Le Chiffre in my opinion.
@Qasim Hussain Silva was a former Mi6 agent and would’ve had the same training as bond so I think it would’ve been cool if they fought. As for Le Chiffre , he wasn’t an agent or anything but he’s still a big imposing guy so despite him not being a match for bond he could’ve still put up a fight like Greene.
@Qasim Hussain Bond should have fought with General Medrano from quantum of solace
Esse é o mercenário que eu adoro.
Bond, James Bond.😎🤵🏼🍸♥️🇧🇷
Action scenes that use shakey motions is to hide bad choreography and editing . PERIOD
Esse filme é bom
Mercenario? 😳😳😳
@@TiagoSilva-de3yx É por que nesse filme ele sai se vingando de geral por causa da Vesper.
Could that possibly be more disorientating and quickly cut
ตอนนี้ ระบบเสียงดีมาก คมชัดทุกช่องทาง ❤❤❤
Even when there is not a very consistent plot, this movie likes because the photography, the wardrobe( just see that Harrington jacket) and the locations (Parana observatory looks gorgeus)
Man this movie was cut like a fever dream
Craig's bond girls always know how to put up a fight. Vesper, camille, madiline, moneypenny are awesome!!
Vesper? You sure about that?
I don't think so. He lost one or two in every one of his movies save for maybe Spectre.
2:33 My toes get jolted everytime I watch this
Good God,the camera movements in this movie are worst than those in a Paul W S anderson movie
I think the action scenes need more cuts. I can still almost see what's going on and we can't have that, no?
i'm gonna go out on a limb here, but I think there are a few problems with constructing a building out of hydrogen cells?
Not when moronic Hollywood directors get involved!
Spectacular!!😁💪🏼🎉
That caused a chain reaction on the whole block.

As which you can see here.

Yikes this sequence was busy. Too many damn camera cuts; it gave me seizures. Now I need to watch Tony Jaa's "The Protector" to cleanse the palette.
apart from the editing I actually liked this film. Help opened the world and hinted at spectre
Camilles a badass
I’m sure they have the footage for all these scenes somewhere who wants then to remaster this movie with less choppy edits
Dominic's shriek is as amusing as Jimmy. LOL
