- “No hard feelings Mr Bond.” 007 faces off against Renard in THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH (1999).
The main location for the Kazakhstan desert test-facility exterior, was meant to have been in Cappadocia in Turkey. Sets had been partially built, but the filmmakers were advised not to travel to Turkey because of a series of explosions in Istanbul. Production Designer Peter Lamont recced several sites across Spain before settling on areas at Tudela and Cuenca instead.
Sean Connery was present during the filming of this scene and he praised Pierce Brosnan's performance. Sean even asked Pierce if he was being paid enough money... LOL!
Lt
007: The paycheck is not enough
Come on, he said it was on Golden eyes
@@jamesboth3785 no there’s a video of his saying that
Wait for real...!?

This guy straight up looks like a Goldeneye NPC when he shoots. LMAO
4:08 He did it for all of us! Pierce Brosnan never forget!
lol it took a while to get it :D
Eh, no he didn't. He did it as a contract. Then you paid for it.
'No hard feelings, Mister Bond. But we are even'. One of the few lines from the series which always leaves us non-plussed.
Renard is nasty line to Mr Bond.
How Pierce stayed just out the shower fresh and groomed through some of his action scenes was somethin' else.
Sure-it won't let you down!
He’s James Bond what you expect lol
@@jamescollett2625 don't you mean...James Freakin Bond!
Yea, you don't see that anymore in the Daniel Craig movies. I grew up with Brosnan's Bond, so I'm obviously biased, but the Craig movies just aren't fun anymore. It's all dark and broody and serious. I miss the fun gadgets, the horrible one liner quips, the way Bond just swaggers his way through everything and comes out smelling like roses. New Bond movies went in a different direction, I suppose. Or I'm just wearing rosetinted glasses.
@@Xylarxcode I think I also grew up in the Brosnan Bond era but Daniel Craig's was awesome
Denise channeling her inner Lara Croft! 🤔😍
Better than Croft, way better.
Her clothes should have been skimpier, to cover up her acting.
Her career goes down hill from here⋯⋯
She certainly looks like Lara croft that's true
@@Hithere-ek4qt mm
I miss this era of 007. As a teen i would watch the movies then play those video games.
We are lacking digital adventures that concede with the movie releases
So true, I miss the days of movie video games, now all we get is mobile game trash ☹
What is this movie name
@@uddinsamir Mrs Doubtfire
Denise was in her prime time, figuratively speaking.
This is a pretty underrated movie! I really don‘t get the hate! It has a great score, well written plot, great action and great villains! And Brosnan‘s personal best performance! Comes close to my top 10!
Davider agreed and she was SMOKING hot as well
TWINE isn't bad, isn't great or standoutish either, it's just standard, that's why I dont rate it high..
Davider
Hear, hear. 🍸Love the film. Sophie Marceau is a stunningly beautiful, very complex Bond girl.
And don’t forget Chrismast come more than once this year
One of the most superficial Bond movies ever
My 14 year old self loved this movie.
35 year old me doesn't mind it either

4:14 One of my favourite 'The name's Bond, James Bond' moments!
"The name's Bond, but my mates call me Jim."
The most movieish Bond James Bond ever.
What he say's it in an American accent? seriously?
"There is no point in living if you can't feel alive".
quite apt at the moment
Literally running from bullets gives you this feeling.

There always has to be "that type" of guy in a comments thread.
Exactly, I was talking about you.
This movie is really underrated.
I don't think there's been another one since that's been as good.
Best disney movie ever.
If anything it's overrated. Never understood the critical praise for this one.
@@hugodrax71 Yeah, underrated?? Since when? It's one of the worst Bond movies. Horrendous acting, bad writing, awful characters (even ruining Valentin Zukovsky), the plot makes no sense whatsoever... I only ever see people praising this garbage (fitting band choice for the title song too). Goldeneye was the only good Brosnan Bond film, Tomorrow Never Dies was okay, this one was awful and the less said about Die Another stupid Day the better. That being said, Daniel Craig's outing in Spectre was the single worst Bond movie ever made. At least Die Another Day is mildly entertaining, whereas Spectre is unwatchably boring and annoying in every way with a perpetually miserable and awkward block of wood as Bond.
@@AD-kv9kj Agree - Goldeneye was a very good Bond film, by far the best Brosnan one. TND started well but then got VERY NOISY. I thought Die Another Day took Bond to the edge of the abyss. A shame as Brosnan was a good 007. Spectre was a disappointment. Style over substance. I don't think Mendes could take Bond forward after Skyfall and it showed.
"No hard feelings, Mr Bond. But we're even. Soon, you will feel nothing at all"
The line is no hard feelings Mr. Bond.
😢
Fun Fact: Brosnan did a Q&A while watching GoldenEye for the first time since debut night and was talking about the chain run stunt. They asked Pierce if he wanted to do the stunt to which he said yes. When he was being set up he said there was ambulances and fire control all over the set and as soon as he though "This was a bad idea." The rig went and he was in for the ride. He got some minor burns from it.
what chain run stunt was this?
@@jahnahjarvis2963 In the very first scene of Goldeneye.
@@lindildeev5721 No, not in the movie Goldeneye, but in The World is Not Enough as shown in this video. The actor was commenting whilst watching Golden Eye Q and A.

I like that Robert Carlyle got to play a Bond villain. He deserved it!

Gotta love the jump at 1:11 where Bond shoots while in midair, but there’s no sound lol.
Ah, yes. Back from the days when Denise Richards still had a promising career. In the late 90's, she was well on her way up. Starship Troopers, Wild Things and landing the role as Bond Girl in The World is Not Enough. Seemed so promising at the time. And then it all just went to shit.
Still love this movie, though. It's not my favorite, but it's pretty damn fun to watch. Always a joy to watch Pierce Brosnan as Bond.
Her Blue Lagoon appearances weren't good?
Agreed, this was her peak but to be honest I think she played her character off-key and it didn't gel well with Bond.
This was arguably Brosnan's best performance as Bond in my opinion.
Nah Goldeneye. By far his best film.
@@codpro627 GoldenEye is also up there but I feel The World is Not Enough is overlooked.
@@JustLynnYT Because it was a rubbish Bond film? Renard was a shit villain in comparison to Trevelyan and Onatopp.
@@codpro627 That's the case with a lot of Bond villains after GoldenEye. I don't disagree, but what I meant by it's overlooked is Brosnan's overall performance. He really held his own in the film to the point where you could argue it was his best performance as Bond maybe right after GoldenEye.
Great performance from Brosnan in an average Bond film.
“They won’t get very far, every warhead has a locator card we can track the signal”
“You mean one of these?”
I just love how Bond shows it to Christmas like she didn’t know he saw Renards men take it out and is like oh fuck we’re screwed. At least M is given it later and uses it to send a signal to Bond
@Sancevière and f
She was one of the best looking bond-girls from the recent era.
Her outfit is very much like Lara Croft.
I love her, Natalya, Galore, Lǐ Hè, Zhòng Mae, Měi Lěi, Octopussy, Dr. Madeleine Swann, Sévérine, Aria Kim and
Serena St. Germaine.
I remember this ...
She was the 20 year old, world renowned, nuclear physicist, bomb expert, that the United Nations relies on in emergencies.
She saved the world with extraordinary, unrivaled skills and a keen fashion sense ...
Actually Denise Richard’s was 28 years old. She was born in 1971
I cringed when they had that in the movie, great-looking actress but really goofy character back-story and vibe.
Amazing movie, i really love it! And Denise R absolutely perfect!!
RIP Michael Apted. Thanks for this awesome movie.
James Bond: " I always want to have Christmas in Turkey." From Turkey with love :) ..
Back in the day when you could, before what the deplorable Mr. Erdoğan is trying to do.
Pierce Brosnan is my favorite bond. Stylish even under duress. Daniel Craig appears brutish in contrast. The older bond films also had more gadget-which I love.
Never got the craig hype. His bond had zero impact on me.
@@trazyntheinfinite9895 exactly! He looked like he hated every minute of it
Craig has a very somber and monotonous tone of speech. I had to turn the video to 0.75 speed with subtitles and a dictionary to understand half of what he said on screen.
Would Jason Statham work well as Bond?
The bond girl is so cute 😊💕😍
Funny to see at 1:10 the stuntman making his job.
P.brosnan range of action awesome, inspiring & interesting.a quick advanced hero of h.wood!
She really was the perfect woman.
Gee, why would you think that?
Dr. Jones (regardless of who was playing her) was one of the few really *useful* Bond Girls, and she starts proving it right here as she hotwires the doors while Bond fights. Later she helps defuse a nuke (or tries to) at high velocity, which Bond can't do. Ms. Richards' acting my be rightfully faulted, but I genuinely liked her character.

0:20 I'm sure this guy played a soldier in GoldenEye too. In the opening sequence, when Bond shots down soldiers in the runway while trying to catch the plane, the guy who gets shot and slams up against the wall is this guy.
He is the same! He die in all the 007 movies haha
oh my god I just checked and it's really him!!! I never noticed that before
Yup, pretty sure he is one of the stuntmen who worked on the movies for awhile. Likewise, the guy at 0:09 who throws the gun to Renard is also a stuntman and also appeared in Tomorrow Never Dies as the guy who Bond fights in the printworks and throws into the machine ("They'll print anything these days!")
"Theyre sealing us in"
"No, they're sealing you in" ~then escapes~
The best Bonds always take care of their ladies. Brosnan is definitely one of those if not the best of them.
Indeed, only one of his Bond girls died (Paris) while in Connery's movies, there was almost always one or two girls dying for nothing.
I'm glad Charlie got to play with those!
I can’t get enough of Denise Richards! 👀💋💕🥰
Your not the only one
As she was 20 years ago, maybe. As she is now, I'm sure you could fantasize about someone better.
My first 007 movie when I was child ...the best one for me
So good James.
I'm very surprised someone didn't look at Denise Richard's outfit and immediately decided, "This babe needs to be the next Lara Croft!" She would have made a Perfect Tomb Raider. 😍❤❤❤
This is one of my favourite gunfight scenes in film due to the fact that mostly everyone in the fight is sporting a P90 for a late 90s early 2000s picture the P90 (one of my favourite firearms of all time) gets a lot of screen time in this scene
Denise is so beautiful. Her hair looks really pretty like that.
Very beautiful, just as Natalya is.
Robert Carlisle always did have a knack for villains.
Pierce's gunfights were always fucking insane
I always liked Brosnan as Bond. My only beef was that he looked rather odd when he ran.
Connery running in the Tokyo subway is my favourite Bond running.
0:21 Didn’t realise Mr Bean had a cameo in this film.
for the anecdote, he also plays a Russian soldier in the opening of Goldeneye ^^

This might be the only Bond movie that I can’t remember seeing. Denise Richards is from my home town, too. Weird.
Denise Richards was absolutely fucking stunning in this movie full stop.
0:57 - I keep forgetting how ridiculous these gadgets are. It would be a miracle if that rope would have held a bag of marshmallows. Let alone have a motor powerful enough to lift a human that fast and still be small enough to fit in a watch.

Back when Denise still had it going on, before she made that BAD decision to get involved with a personality-disordered junkie on a lifetime bender.
that is true though honestly, she peaked with "wild things" and did nothing much of note after that unless you count "undercover brother".
Christmas only comes once, I guess.
there's a lesson here and a lot of people miss it... she went with sheen because sheen was exciting and fun to be with, doesn't matter if it was drugs or other dumb shit, he was more interesting than anybody else at the time
@@zedsdeadbaby ... and the lesson is? To go where the excitement is at the time and not regret it?
BrDaCoZ here’s a lesson for you: A good time now isn’t worth the damage it does in the future. It’s about moderation and common sense. There is plenty of excitement to spread out in a life time. Boozing and drugging it up to make stupid shit seem all the rage now is dumb.
It's strange how the special effects in 'Die Another Day' suddenly deteriorated. I know this was the first real use of CGI in the Bond series, but the effects work in most of the previous movies had been so good that it often didn't look like effects work.
Surfing on a tsunami didn’t do it for you?
Charlie Sheen, you lucky bastard.
Denise Richards used to be one of the hottest women around and then....she met/married Charlie Sheen. I know we all age and grow old...some better than others, but you can tell whatever she went through with him aged her quicker.

The funny thing when you think about it is, Bond would have been better off just escaping with Christmas instead of chasing after Renard. Would have actually been a better outcome since they could have tracked the bomb with the locator card. Although, plot convenience meant that Bond only found M because he gave her the card.
